I like Kenny, he’s the innocently racist where he assumes Lee knows his way around criminal stuff, but goes ahead and basically takes Clem as a daughter. He’s a good man overall, maybe has a bit of an anger issue but a good man, and telltale actually did a good job showing rural type people are not backward bad people

It's because those people aren't aware that these video game characters are written to be their own people, the decisions they make are largely based on THEIR viewpoints not yours
There will always be a limit to what you can manipulate a character to do in a story-driven game

There is a time and place to be virtuous. Putting the lives of everyone in danger in the tiny, locked up cellar was not one of those times. If Larry had turned, everyone could have died. They had practically no means of defending themselves. The closest thing to righteousness Lee could have displayed would be to try to resuscitate Larry while others were pinning him down, prepared to smash a salt lick over the Larry's head in a moments notice. But that is incredibly risky. Way to risky for an absolutely useless faggot like Larry. Instead 'Paragon Lee' locked lips with Larry without any consideration to what would've happened if zombified Larry ripped his face off.

I played my Lee the first time around as essentially a melanin enriched season 1 (show) Rick. There was no way he was going to execute a father (no matter how cantankerous he may be) in front of that man's daughter and Clem, at least not without making an effort to try and save his life first. IIRC it was only a couple of months into the outbreak at that point so I headcannoned that Lee wouldn't have stooped that low yet. Lee has killed before out of passionate rage but this would be the first opportunity he had to kill a human being in cold blood. Wasn't what he would have done imo.

I agree with you to some extent. Lee and Kenny killing Larry is done in a pretty heartless manner. But the reality is, Larry was extraordinarily dangerous at that moment. Gambling with Larry was gambling with the lives of everyone in that cellar. I believe they already knew that everyone dead came back as zombies. I don't think it would be entirely unrealistic for Lee to come to the reality of the situation. But maybe you're right about Lee not being quite the realist yet.

Those flashbacks are exactly why I prefer my Clem to go alone at the end of S2. Kenny gets reunited with his family, Jane is left behind to an hero, and Clem's newfound independence coupled with watching the cabin group slowly whittled down to just AJ feeds nicely into her "tough as nails, trust no one" persona in the next game.

Everyone acts completely insane and irrational towards Kenny in season for literally - literally - no reason.
A bunch of people showed up knowing they were being followed and Kenny let them into his new home. They didn't even warn anyone that they were being followed and as a result all of Kenny's friends died, his home was destroyed, and he was tortured until he lost an eye.
Then they're like

So they ostracize him but they forgive the meth head chick who was responsible for leading Carver to the resort and getting all of Kenny's friends killed.

they're not leaving the baby as much as they're trying to get away from kenny, who at this point calls you a traitor and ungrateful and basically abuses you if you're not completely in with his plan

I played Telltale Walking Dead Seasons 1 and 2 with my family back when I was in Middle School. I will admit, I was the only one in my family not into zombie stuff but I did it because they wanted me to.
