Remember when this was considered global news?

Remember when this was considered global news?

He wasn't 10 forever...

Who even still watches this shit past the first few seasons? I thought people mostly kept to the TCG and video games.

The show has seen a certain resurgence in popularity even since they've booted that jobber faggot

They should have done that or let him win the League way earlier. I lost my interest in Pokemon Anime after generation 3. I came back during XY when I heard he had a good team and was learning, playing better and the story was building up good including him losing midway through.
Then he lost anyway. And that was when I gave up for good in the anime.
It doesn't matter if they let him win later. They missed his chance, they clearly didn't know what they were doing and why it was so important. Anything given to him after that piece of shit was damage control at best fuck them and fuck whoever writes this shit.

The new show is kinda floundering and not nearly as successful though.

Doesn't that apply to the anime as a whole after Gen 6?

Actually it gained the resurgence when jobber finally won something. Then the company rig pulled for new faggy characters

So did voice actress actually have to say pika pika for 25 years?

It wasn't worth watching after most left, so I didn't care about ash leaving

I'll give it to them, the original theme kicking in for the final clash was fucking kino

Fuck Ash, little faggot should've been replaced after Johto.

True, just like Boruto which is, in terms of popularity, nothing compared to the cultural impact Naruto had. Nearly all my school mates watched Naruto but if you ask kids these days about it, they are far more likely to know recognize Naruto than Boruto.

The show was already pretty mediocre by then but once they changed into the Yokai-Watch like artstyle I couldn't continue anymore.

The old Ash Ketchum show wasn't doing well in its later seasons either.
The fact is there doesn't need to be a 24/7 Pokemon anime. Sure, maybe come out with a new series every now and again, but just let the series rest a bit.

I stopped watching back in 2006 when TPCi replaced the 4Kids voice actors.

Should've just done an arc to coincide with each game release and events/merch in between.

Jobber dipshit suddenly beats all the best trainers on the planet and becomes "da best" despite being a dipshit preschool intellect going through trainer school again the prior season.

It was unearned. Ash died in Johto, what left Johto was a fucking zombie.

The main writer for season 1 intended for him to move on or grow up or something at the end and left when GF told him Ash was gonna be 10 forever. You'll notice season 1 as a show is much better than any other season.

the new character will be named Barbara mustard

lmao

No.

The fact is there doesn't need to be a 24/7 Pokemon anime

It is literally a 22 minute commercial that gets to exist throughout a prime time slot. Most companies would commit several warcrimes for that amount of advertising exposure.
Say what you will about the quality of the product, it does its job as advertising for the rest of the franchise. It worked back then, and it still works today, regardless of what ratings suggest.

far more likely to know recognize Naruto than Boruto.

Doesn't Boruto look exactly like Naruto?
I'm not shit-posting, I don't watch the show but I thought they were identical (and I think pink-haired girl got a girl with glasses as a kid, but she hates her mom? I dunno, I tried for a bit but I just wasn't interested)

The puberty blockers... finally failed.

did they restore the old artstyle o they kept the horrible new style?

Remember when this dipshit lost to a kid with a level 5 Snivy?

I actually really liked the Orange islands filler episodes or whatever they were called. Watched them for the first time last year.

Sadly, this is the same issue with Digimon. You keep changing the main characters and later, MECHANIC LIKE TURNING INTO GAY SENTAI INSTEAD OF HAVING A DIGIMON PARTNER, everyone would just bail out.

I'm disappointed he never fucked Misty

That was shortly after he lost the league to the guy with the fucking Darkrai, wasn't it?

replaced Brock with Tracy for that arc because they thought Brock was an offensive stereotype caricature

Brought him back for Johto when they realized no one gave a shit

Kinda reminds me of what happened with Speedy Gonzales.

He did, but it happened in that banned Porygon episode, so no one who saw it lived to tell the tale.

I was thinking they'd be back but seems like people have warmed up to the new characters

That shit is only "news" for the same reason Clair Obscur is being hailed as the savior of JRPGs. People who don't actually watch Pokemon or care about Pokemon make a big deal about something that doesn't matter and that people have been waiting to happen for ages.

There was no reason to watch after Charizard left

They should've just ripped the bandaid earlier and had a new protagonist for every game iteration kinda like when yugioh changes characters every new series. I realized that they settled on changing the side characters from johto onwards instead.

Remember when XYfags were seething when he finally won a league AND took down some elite 4 members?

By then it was too little, too late
It was obviously the anime team trying to make up for how badly they fucked the Kalos league

And replaces him with protagonists that are just droll
Ash still had a lot they could have done with him. Not because he's a particularly great character or anything, but rather that they've done jack fuck in a decade and a half. It's not like they were afraid to reinvent him every season anyway.

wasn’t so much no one gave a shit, people were demanding Brock’s return.
don’t comment if you weren’t alive then, zoomie.

Is Liko's show worth watching? I was interested in first because going to Pokemon school like it's a Hogwarts story seemed cute but then she got kidnapped by airship pirates so I didn't feel the need to watch past E2.
