Not really but the current season is kinda boring compared to last I think. It's not the worst in balance but the gameplay is feeling pretty repetitive and wins and losses seems to come down to someone deciding to be different and do their own thing. The devs were probably right to change the release cadence to pump out a hero every month because there isn't much after they did 2 heroes per half season in S1.

Not sure how it is for most ranks but after GM1+ it takes me like a minute up to 4-5 minutes depending when I queue.

I had some fun with it at first, but in the end it's just a worse version of Overwatch. Worse graphics, worse voice acting, worse gameplay. My biggest issue with OW is even more of an issue in Rivals. When OW1 first came out it was an FPS with some MOBA influences. Then they buffed heals and shields until you could stand out in the open getting pocketed and cover became irrelevant. It turned into a deathball clusterfuck MOBA game. See where I'm going with this? WAY TOO MUCH healing in Rivals, and every support ult being some variation on mY tEaM iS iNvInCiBlE fOr 15 SeCoNdS is embarrassing from a game design standpoint and annoying from a gameplay standpoint.

I've been playing Counterstrike and having a blast. Don't think I'll ever touch OW or Rivals again.

Everyone's egos are so massive, they can't just admit that if they get dove, blocked or out healed, that's just the other team playing well and your team playing bad. There's no solidarity, no actual integrity, just rampant main character syndrome from every single player. How could you frame the support strikes as anything but ego?

The only thing it has going for it is the marvel IP which is mostly chinafied anyway and sends you to iconic locations like "klyntar" instead of places people actually might want to see. Everything related to actually playing the game is just a much worse version of several other games that already exist.

Healing only work in small doses, they should be able to heal but only with limited resources or long cooldown.
Problem with this game and Overwatch is that they can heal all the time, so either nothing dies in these kind of games or you die within 0.1sec, no in-between.

Hydra is my least favorite by a country mile. Millions of choke points, so many ways for flankers to flank or got the drop on you, so many blind spots, it's a nightmare.
Krakoa is fine, it's just big. The portals really make the matches fun but the cave always feels like a pubstomp the instant one side loses just a bit of control.
Asgard is fine for the statue portion, the throne is in the middle, and the central pillar area sucks.
Wakanda just sucks, I agree. The worst is the jump pad area with the hole in the middle.

Current heal problem is that ults recharge stupidly fast. And when they go off it is essentially a no death zone. So any objective that requires pushing/holding a small zone instantly makes a 2-3 support team gods.

It's not even near dead, this season was just a clear decline compared to the last.

As a casual player, I just want to have a few fun qp matches in the afternoon (doesn't matter if I win or lose) and maybe a few ranked matches on the weekend.
But this season ruined my fun (dive comps an ever present thing in low tiers and qp, very unbalanced and boring characters to play against dominating the scene, the whole community becoming far more toxic, nerfs that made no sense for characters that nobody complained about, etc), not to mention that 3 out of 4 of the friends I played with quit already (all of them because of the shitty season).

I am beginning to believe that the introduction of Emma and the Strange nerf started a domino effect that brought us here, but the game can still be saved with a fee strategic changes to make the game playable (nerfing the broken characters that are constantly banned and fixing the broken combos, going back to the old points system, enforcing harder penalties for toxic behaviour, etc).
We need to go back to more characters being viable, it's annoying to always play as the same characters (and facing the same small pool) just to avoid being stomped.

Healers sit in the back line mostly near another member that can help them. Or anti diver if shit is getting rough.

Spidy goes balls deep in the back and is almost always out of range of their teammates. They die pathetic deaths if an anti diver is with the enemy.

Both have near identical HP and Spidy has less shielding/healing options.

Also in general the gameplay would get much more degenerate, high range safe characters and highly mobile assassins would dominate the meta. Any objective would be a deathtrap to be close to as you would need to use cover to mitigate damage
Ults would need to be heavily nerfed, and maps redesigned entirely for the game to not be a campfest

That's not a good metric for assessing a character's strength
People can easily mispilot a character and drag their actual strength far below what they're capable of, it's extremely worrying if a character reaches a 60ish in WR, that usually means that they're very unfair, but overtuned characters can still be like 48-52 for the reasons I said above
I don't think she's the best healer though, but still Luna is a support where you have to sort of aim, that and she's extremely reliant on hitting freezes to not get picked by dive.

TF2 Medic is more or less the best possible to make a healer not totally insufferable to fight and even thats not true if one is a pocket vaccinator or using the crossbow. We simply put up with the crossbow being OP too cause its fun to use.
