I'm not a fan of the whole "Kris' motivation is to FIND HER" thing either, but one interpretation could be that Dess' disappearance was such a large wedge in Kris' personal life that they believe finding her would be the key to its restoration. Asgore would no longer be disgraced as it comes out that it was out of his control, maybe Toriel would forgive him, Noelle wouldn't be traumatized, and so on. But it works on a lot of assumptions about the impact of Dess' disappearance on Hometown so I don't expect it to be true.

Right now I think Kris vs Frisk would be "coughing baby vs Hydrogen Bomb", but if it's true that everyone that happens at the end of chapter 2 is only possible because of Kris setting things up the night of chapter 1 and the hours at home, then it might be more like Batman vs Superman. The question by the time Deltarune is complete may be "does Kris have prep time". I don't think Kris will ever be able to destroy the universe like Frisk but they could make up for it with their autistic planning.

spamton is easy and i first tried but jevil is like the only hard boss in the game. He doesnt take too long but its the only fight i gotta actually try as it takes some resets to beat him

If chapter 3+4 comes out and Toby significantly changed the ending of ch2 Snowgrave route so that Kris doesn't do the same sequence anymore, would you lose faith in the project?

Jevil is hard because he hits your entire team with most of his attacks.
If they had done the same with Spamton he'd be about the same, maybe a little less difficult.
Toby made too many of his attacks be easy to counter since unlike with Mettaton it's 80% side attacks while in Undertale it was 80% vertical attacks, but I guess he made it that way because of the way the track for the boss fight was made, but I feel like he could have made the tracks move around from horizontal to maybe vertical or even just spin around and the bullet box could have had differences.

Just a reminder that Kris is stronger than even the strongest Darkner and can win in a 1v1 (and he stopped holding back against Spamton).

And that Kris was STILL holding back because he's using a pencil to fight instead of the 12 inch butcher's knife he carries around at all times.

If we take into consideration that Frisk is only as strong as he is in Undertale because the magic atmosphere makes his killing intent take on real, physical form, and we put Kris and Frisk in as they are at the beginning of the game, then Kris would have the advantage because he's clearly this strong even before we take control of him.

In conclusion, Goku with no arms, no legs, blindfolded, with air pods would win.

Deltarune isn't written like this, it's quirky but not in regards to major moments or plot beats. Queen is a silly character but her boss fight and motive are played straight even if she goes about it in a wacky manner, Spamton talks funny but again his actual goal and situation is presented completely seriously. The Man behind the tree has no levity. I think Chapter 2's tone was a bit too quirky but on the whole Toby is good at pacing his comedy

My point is that the "hidden" bosses aren't really that hidden and are more like side quests. Something involving Gaster should involve doing more obscure shit. The eggs for example are way more hidden because there's no clue how to get them other than the music resetting and a graffiti in chapter 2 (and there's no clue where to put them in the light world)

Kris' nonbinariness is another symbol of how they feel out of place in their town. Even though they are accepted both for being human and being enby, they still stick out like a sore thumb. Yellow heart mode is so satisfying and it's pretty clear why yellow was chosen for the most successful UT fan game. Shooting removes no movement options from the base heart but adds a fair amount of potential depth.
Green heart and Purple heart are very niche. Blue heart is alright but works best as a supplement like in Sans' fight where you're basically switching on and off your gravity.
Rather than reverse UT theory I'd like to see some new colors especially ones finding other ways to actually ENHANCE, rather than limit, Kris's evasion.

The issue is still that we haven't seen how far Kris can go, but they were completely fucked against NEO's defense mode without using a summon. There's no point that Frisk can get stuck like that. I think the whole NEO fight is like a microcosm of what Kris is capable of. It's possible to put barriers in front of them they can't break through, but Kris/you is crafty enough to bend the world to break that barrier for them.

Can you imagine the meltdown if Toby actually died before dropping the end of the game?
