Just started picrel. Is my game bugged or am I suppose to run out of fatigue after literally 10 seconds? Takes forever to get anywhere

it just werks

Increase your endurance stat

But I literally cant take 20 steps before having to stop and take a breather. Shouldn't need to increase states just to be able to walk around

You just got outta jail man, you gotta pump those stats up buddy. Might I offer a temporary solution?

ava4.png - 752x767, 1.49M

Yeah I figured I gotta level up. Starting stats just seemed ridiculous low for some reason. Gonna go get me a fortify fatigue spell in the meantime

make character with 15 endurance 20 speed and 20 strength

wtf why am i so slow and weak

31 Endurance, 43 Strength and 60 Agility, actually. Shouldn't need high endurance to be able to walk for more than 20 seconds. My character can't even sprint yet

just another open world game that doesn't respect your time. I uninstalled during the first mage's guild quest because it's just 10 minutes of walking and picking mushrooms

You probably just made a character whose stats aren't well balanced for the early game, Morrowind is hard for new players because it is very possible to make a simply bad character (stats-wise) which makes the gameplay much more challenging than if you had made a better-balanced one.

Until you have a few levels under your belt you are meant to be pretty weak yeah.
Willpower, Agility, Endurance and Athletics all determine how much Fatigue you have, how much is drained on running and how quickly it regenerates.
You'll hit a point where your fatigue will regenerate quicker than it can be drained while running.

Takes forever to get anywhere

Walking from Seyda Neen to Balmora is a meme. Just fast travel via silt strider.
Ideally the first real combat encounter you hit is the rat nest in Balmora or the guy on the bridge to the Dwemer ruin outside Balmora.

OP in about 30 minutes

Have you tried playing it high?

Why is it when I was like 10 years old I could figure out this game and win it and break the game completely, yet grown ass "adults" like you get filters by a simple RPG stat and duce roll system?

playing Morrowind stoned

Perish the thought. I can barely keep what I'm doing straight as is. I just hit level 8 and remembered I still have the Tax Record, I never turned it in and started that side quest lol

Caius was so cool man. Why couldn't they bring him back for Oblivion? Replace that faggot Jauffre with him

you can't even write nigga

Tamriel rebuilt finally convinced me to get a new laptop since my 10 year old junkheap can't even unzip the data files

Get a new mid range one

Tamriel Data unzips in minutes

I can actually use the graphics extender so Morrowind doesn't look like Silent Hill anymore

Oh my. I know you faggots have been taking this for granted, but holy shit this is lovely.
I'm not installing any character model mods though, from previous experience this causes fuckery with mainland NPCs.

Set your speed to 60 in console and buy/make stamina pots

I remember you, glad to hear you got it working.

sprint

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA GET FUCKED. None of that faggotry here.

Get a taxi and eat a sandwich, nigga.

Let me set the scene, since you didn't pick up on it between clicking the icon and meeting a literal Saint.
You are a pathetic Outlander, let out of jail on the benevolence of Emperor Titus himself.
You are a weak, frail, scrub of a being, whatever race you chose.

Now go out there and start punching wildlife until you're ready to stare down the closest things to Gods that can walk upon this earth, and read every book you get your grubby little hands on until you understand the Mystery of CHiM.

if you're just running from point A to B, you don't need to keep your fatigue topped up. just rest a bit before you enter a dungeon or combat, and keep some fatigue potions on you too.

This game is literally unplayable without a running speed mod or the speed boots. I prefer a mod because the boots are too fast and cheesy. You can easily go forward and back without enemies every hit you.
About the stamina the trick is just rest 1hr every time you see an enemy in the distance. This shit is pretty retarded if you ask me. It would be more fun if instead of losing stamina while running you would lose a lot more of it when fighting so you're actually forced to use stamina potions instead of just cheesing and resting before every fight

31 is low as fuck and Agility has no effect on your speed. Honestly just bunnyhop and keep stamina potions on you to chug when combat starts.

How fucking high does my endurance need to be to be able to WALK for more than 20 seconds?

What mods should I get to help adjust progression to compensate for the content added in Tamriel Rebuilt? Vanilla progression wasn't built around playthroughs lasting that long.

you are meant to read a book or make some food while walking. that's why there's an autowalk key

Let's just say the real game begins when you abuse alchemy

Ye. I also got annoyed while playing through it some months ago, but that shouldn't stop you because this game starts you off crawling and it end with you flying across the map in seconds.

B-hop early and take a silt strider to Balmora

Go out the north town exit into the next area Cassius tells you

Follow the roadsigns with the paths and go generally leftish to the indicated area and look for a redguard guy

He wants to give you a quest to escort him, but just kill him and take the Boots of Blinding Speed. (I forget where he is exactly, so look up anything if you don't find him)

You can wear them now, but you won't see shit. So go back to Balmora and buy any magic resist spell from the Temple

Go to the Mage's guild and craft a 1 second 100 magic resist spell on self.

Cast it and pause immediately to put on the Boots

Zoom around like that and then later buy Hoptoad and Levitate in Vivec and use that to get around

Get Slowfall and enchant something with 0-1 point on it. (Casting it before falling works, but this saves mana). Craft a 5 second 100 jump spell on self and a 1 second 100 jump spell.

Take off as much weight as possible

Fly across the map

Enjoy

fatigue potions are everywhere. dont bother fighting stuff for the first 2 hours, just explore, learn.

the amulet of stamina that galbedir sells helps out a lot during the beginning of the game

Was Caius Cosades really a drug addict or was it part of his cover?

OP here, just joined the mage guild and met with Caius. This game is comfy as fuck in VR

If you actually played the game you'd know that you can run with zero fatigue, baiting subhuman retard.

It's my first time playing the game

Uhhh you're supposed to enjoy that

yeah you can let it drop to zero while you're just running around, just rest before combat and keep some fatigue pots in case you get caught off guard

If you ran everywhere in real life, you would get tired. Take your time.

*Laughs in redguard*

you're not walking you're running numbnuts, granted fatigue recovery is a genuine massive problem
there's a jogging mod and a sprint mod that work together that make it less stupid it makes it so base running speed is lowered a tiny bit but doesn't drain fatigue but then you combine it with the sprint button which lets you hold it to burn fatigue to sprint
It is bound to stupid keys though so just go into the scripts and rebind it to your mouse side buttons or something like I did.

don't listen to this retard, run everywhere but get some fucking fatigue potions if you need them for combat, or rest before combat

just walk everywhere

nigger shut the fuck up you do not do that

Running at the speed of a walk. When I "walk" it's like I'm a 90 year old man with a Zimmer Frame

Both

kek some obsidiot got assmad at the New Vegas tranny meme and made this to cope
what a loser lmao

I think it's funny and never fails to get (You)'s

You can run everywhere if you want to, but you will have to pump in some steroids if you're low level, such as:

Leveling up Athletics

Restoration spell for Restore Fatigue

Constant Effect Restore Fatigue Enchantment

Use Rest before encounters to regen

Alchemy to make Restore Fatigue potions

Money to buy Restore Fatigue potions

constant effect enchants are not low level lol

I'll say any enchantment then. Because cast on use will also work well.

Alchemy yourself some fortify speed potions or enchant it. There's plenty of fast/safe travel options in Morrowind too, always carry a scroll of divine or almsivi intervention.

OP here, just installed vanilla Morrowind to test fatigue, and my VR modded version fatigue runs out 3 times faster so I fucked something up when modding. I knew something wasn't right

Found the culprit. Was some meme "hardcore mode" mod. This same mod reduced the weight of Raw Ebony from 10 to 1 for some reason
