Face it... you were wrong.
Face it... you were wrong
Journalists are always right
Caring about "journalists" opinions
Not always, but most of the time, yes.
No, it *is* everyone else that is wrong
Revolution, the first game ever with a plot, never happened before
lmao, journalists. Almost as funny as appeals to commercial success or popularity.
TLoU was amazing.
Sequel was a disaster.
Games should be rated objectively by how good the gameplay is, things like the story shouldn't even be part of the rating process
Story is arguably the most important part of a game, though.
i always said part 1 was good and part 2 is dogshit
Then does Tlou2 deserve high accolades because of the gameplay? The gameplay was great sure but the story was awfully paced, filled with propaganda, and overall was total garbage. I think a bad story could definitely tank an otherwise good game.
It was RE4 from callifiornians: - placeholder gameplay stitched to a manipulative and gay story, that is absolute bullshit but the main twist clicks for young stepfathers
but part 2 is a way better game, way better level design, more fun to play.
Story in 1 was overrated to begin with, 2's story is more uneven but at least it takes some risks
Anon Babble only hates this game because they can't goon to it
Now someone post the Starfield accolades
i would'nt go there if i were you
Story in 2 is a total mess and absolute shit. There is absolutely no discussion to be had. It was written by a narcissistic group of lefties that hated trump winning so they made a game to get revenge on the right wing all the while telling you revenge isnt worth it. Laughable
Isn't half of the gameplay in tlou2 just a bunch of walking around doing nothing?
why do people claim that tlou gameplay is shit? it's very good third person stealth combat.
Some yeah but there are a lot of good stealth/action segments that are very immersive. Such a shame to have a story that atrocious though.
The first game was fine. Until Neil came along with woke dlc and forced Ellie to be dyke. Which there was zero indication of when you beat the game when it dropped.
While I agree part 2 has better combat and level design, Hillcrest is still one of the best levels in a 3rd person action game, its worse because story is terrible and it subsequently ruins part 1
Why? It's true. The only metric of a game being good to any of you is if it has anime titties.
No it isn't. It's called a video game not a video story. Minecraft has no story but it's rightfully considered one of the greatest games of all time for its vast gameplay.
Uncharted with Zombies
(Also Uncharted was Gears of War with Climbing)
If you played part 2 at all I can only imagine how gay and soi you are. A true cuck.
Nah, most players agree now that the story is more important than gameplay. The only people who say otherwise are nerdy virgin types.
(You)
Why is the story "Terrible" ? I'm not saying it's an amazing story but what exactly makes it terrible?
you walk around to find items, find the puzzle solution (even if they're easy puzzles), appreciate the world building and details. yes, there is dialogue during these sections, but the main purpose is pacing.
it's the classic high intensity / low intensity cycle which every good game uses.
i know that if the story is shit it soils the low intensity moments too but it's retarded reduce it to "walk around doing nothing half the game"
if you can only have one gameplay is more important.
story was like a 5 out of 10
atmosphere was probably like a 7 or 8
gameplay was like a 4
the merciful brevity of the game is an honorary 10
it's mid
The pacing is bad, the heavy handed leftist politics are bad, the writing was unbelievably contrived, the list goes on
Enemies don't see the girl, what gameplay are you talking about?
With RE4 and RE2 remakes out I'll never touch The Fag of Us again. All around inferior games and IP to what Capcom is doing.
that pissed me so much because it was so painfully forced in to be a gay underage relationship. it could have easily been a normal teenage platonic relationship but of course the jewish writer has to project his degeneracy.
no wonder the sequel is unbearable due to the story, he had full creative control over it
ellie kills abby's friends
then abby's story starts and we are expected to care about these people we already killed
also they killed joel
so fuck them
they also try way to hard to make abby likeable. she should just be a straight antagonist. like making her a dog lover while ellie is killing dogs is so transparent. Also the story would completely fine if they kept everything the same but just have Ellie kill Abby. Imagine if Ellie kills her, then goes back to the empty house at the end. Would be so much better.
images like that automatically turn me off a game due to games like that having images like that
did you expect the first game to be a painfully long escort missions in which you fail because the AI was retarded and got caught?
The joke is that most of these websites and """journalists"""" are going out of business and losing their jobs because even the audience they used to have has shifted to YTers and streamers.
Shut up you motherfucking tranny, god damn you people are annoying.
I expect it to be a game, not a fucking isolated form the story placeholder added only made this movie "playable", if you can't make a game from the concept, maybe you shouldn't?
I remember there was a mod for Quake 3 where some b-tier movie about battle royal for killers was cut and inserted between levels, it's a definition of TLOU game design,
I remember when they would try to make excuses when people bitched about the cringe dyke shit leading up TLOU2. "She was always gay!!" "You didn't play the first game!!" Fuck you faggots. I played it day 1 in 2013. The actual first game, that was made by Bruce Straley. You're damn right I didn't play the fan fiction DLC slop made by Neil nor his fan fiction slop called Part 2 and I won't.
some b-tier movie about battle royal for killers was cut and inserted between levels
like... OC or did they just insert battle royale between levels?
please do tell, what is the concept of tlou and how did they fail to make a game out of it?
The pacing is bad
It has a different structure from your typical 3 act one but I wouldn't say the pacing was so bad that it ruined the story.
I'll give you that it feels contrived in spots, and some of that is due to all the identity politics, but I never felt it ruined the story
I don't know, I found Tommy acted out of character when he told Ellie about her whereabouts and even more out of character when he scolded her for it. Ellie deciding against killing her is what the entire game builds up towards, it is what you as a player keep thinking, for her to just fucking let go and move on but she refuses to, the fact that she finally does the right thing at the end is instrumental to her whole arc. It's just that the game drags it out too much. Story should probably have ended in the theater.
by just making elle a decoration in every gameplay segment.
Yeah, it's dumb how enemies just completely ignore her sneaking right in front of them, but that's just how the AI was designed to avoid constant mission fails. It’s not really meant to be realistic—more like a "gameplay convenience." Still, totally breaks immersion when you're trying to stealth and she's practically doing jumping jacks next to a clicker with zero consequence.
The pacing makes it to where none of the major events have impact beyond Joel dying. Theyre shown at completely different times and they dont fit to create emphasis or impact.
but it would've been haaaaarrrrd
stop making excuses for them.
Crouch to hide in grass and see enemies through walls isn't gameplay.
Dogshit criticism.
Part 1 was pure kino and should have been the end of the series
oh so you didn't play it on max difficulty? you didn't beat the game.
