I've only started playing it myself. The first one mind you not KCD2 where the romance is in it. As a whole it's a game that grows on you but there's a lot of rough edges around it. Especially for the first game it seems like from what I observed.

The second game really hammered down the kinks and jank from the first. It's a first person action role playing game. With an emphasis on immersion you need to actively grind and keep things in check in order to grow. As Henry, the main protagonist pretty much sucks at everything from combat to crafting and so on. But if you do your due dilligence things start to go more smoothly and it can be fun. In my eyes at least.
