Dead Money has the worst gameplay but the best story. Old World has the best exploration and gameplay but the worst story with reddit tier dialogue. Honest Hearts had both good story and good gameplay but was heavily rushed. Lonesome road had the 2nd best story and having great gameplay but it's extremely sad because you know you're close to finishing New Vegas entirely and you know this is the last time the Fallout series was good.

Because in the usual Avellone fashion Ulysses confronts the player and gamers hate that. No one wants to feel responsible for their actions in a videogame let alone think about them beyond killing everyone they do not agree with.

The NCR took the detonator from Navarro, didn't understand what it was, tried using it in the Divide and it caused a nuke to detonate underground, likely because it wasn't able to properly launch.
There was no malicious intent anywhere, from the Legion, NCR or Enclave, it was a series of accidents that lead to the destruction of this tiny little community Ulysses was obsessed with.
