Holy SHIT some straight up fucking RETARD on Facebook Marketplace sold me Zelda Collectors Edition for 15 fucking dollars!!! AHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHAH

I'll give you 20 bucks for it.

Pretty cool collectors item.
Don't ever play Majora's Mask on this thing, though. They forgot to enable the expansion pak iirc so it just crashes randomly.

You have a Gamecube?

not for resale

Hello bitch!!!!

Nah mate I'm keeping this one. Plus it's a good opportunity to replay OoT.
Yep same one I've had since 2003.
Shut up bitch.

dDyaQxYN.jpg - 500x445, 19.87K

Is it that rare?
I own that.
I'll take a pic and prove it, if you like.

Post dick while you're at it

Do it bro cocks up for Zelda Collector's Edition

The Collector's and Wind Waker bonus disc version of OoT make the final cutscene a video file to make the disc full. Don't know why they did that.

What are you doing on facebook hahaha blu is a failed normalfag

what the

Is this rare or something? I have one sitting around too.

its in spanish though

dont make me angry frognigger

Since they did that, you can't see certain changes on NPCs done in the actual game. Also, the final screen used to play the scarecrow song if you beat the game without a game over, but they don't anymore. Sad!
Otherwise, it's a good port.

Not rare, just expensive like a lot of gamecube games these days. Goes for around $100 depending on condition.

By expensive I mean overpriced for what it is.

Ah, well, can't say the plastic outside is great condition. Though, of course, I could just swap that, EZPZ. The cover, disc, and plastic is fine.

I'll upload a webm for ya.

The main menu for the japanese version of this has a cool remix of the original overworld theme.
Not in the American release for some reason. youtube.com/watch?v=b2TXCJkaIX8

kino

I'll upload a webm for ya.

That's soon to the normal price of a new video game, lol.

Nice setup. I envy you bro.

Wtf is that stain? Btw I still own the paper sleeve Wii Sports as well.

Change the battery in that memory card.

I'm the guy who sold it to OP. He's in for a surprise if he thinks it's real.

Judging by the way the menus use the NES box arts instead of the Famicom for Zelda 1 and 2, probably just a bonus since it was released later.

Good luck going through those Majora's Mask dungeons and finding those fairies and not get a game crash and your temp owl statue save gets deleted.

I meant overpriced considering how old the game is and the fact it's readily available for purchase on sites that sell older used games.

In fairness, while all the games (consoles included) were purchased by me, that SONY WEGA tv was my family's (20 years ago). When I moved out (again, 20 years ago), I simply took it with me and was careful with its maintenance. Phenomenal CRT, literally among the top 3 best consumer CRT televisions ever produced.

Probably some food on the clear plastic, I have zero idea. I should probably exchange that physical copy case with something cleaner, you're right about that.
You're probably right, but I'm not confident in my ability to be sure that wouldn't result in me breaking the casing...

didn't realize this fetched a price ill sell it to anyone who gets trips
name your price

:D.jpg - 4032x3024, 2.85M

Hey, fb seller here. I just wanted to make someone happy. I can emulate everything for free. Glad it made you happy. As I said, I have 4 storage units full of video games that I'm selling. I'm liquidating it in boxes and lots. I don't really care about physical media. Like I said, tell your friends about me. I'll be posting more tomorrow. I have to go through shit and it's all stacked. I'll bring boxes home, take a few pictures, sell. Move it and liquidate. I have like 4 more copies of that Zelda game. Hope it makes you a profit. :)

$10

free

$1

Congrats on the disk, but this is definitely not the best way to play those 4 games. Majora's Mask will crash at random, and playing Zelda 1 and 2 with the stock Game Cube d-pad is a nightmare, and even if it wasn't, they all just have better ports elsewhere. It's more of a collector's item at this point.

kek, thanks for the link, I'd never heard that before.

Cool, bro.

HOLY

PAL

lmfao, it's worth nothing.

why hasn't this market been tapped yet??

retard

It's more of a collector's item at this point.

wow that's crazy, if only the title of the game represented that.

Based
Yeah, I remember the first time that happened to me as a kid, I thought my Gamecube had overheated or something.
I think it was a promo item Nintendo bundled with new Gamecubes for a time. That's how I got my copy of it as a kid for Christmas one year.

I think it was a promo item Nintendo bundled with new Gamecubes for a time.

You could also get one by registering a few first party games on their website.

They also made it a subscriber incentive for Nintendo Power for a bit, which is how I got mine.

I want this again.

mq.jpg - 1200x1600, 366.58K

graphic design has been dead for so long

Yeah I liked how they made the Master Quest Master Sword dark and edgier. This ain't your grandma's Ocarina of Time!

I'll give u tree fiddy

Stop right there criminal scum! Do you not see "NOT FOR RESALE" right on the box? I'm reporting you to the authorities.

i still got mine as well as the one that came with my copy of wind waker, the OoT one.

if that last digit was a 7 i would have offered up my identity so you can arrest me as a citizen personally along with GIFTING you the master quest

Very swaggy.

the way that Z leglocks the Master Sword is how I want Zelda to fuck me

luckily i still have all my games and went pretty heavy on them back in the 2000s

why are they so expensive? other consoles don't seem to pull those kinds of prices

with her master sword?

I'm old enough to have physically bought wind waker at the gamestop at my local mall back in 2003 to get the bonus master quest disk you got with pre-ordering it.
Same goes for twilight princess, I actually got it for Wii when the Wii came out, I can't even remember why I have a copy of it for the gamecube, but I do for some reason.

zelda.jpg - 1558x876, 495.51K

I've got that, too. It's right next.
Got the manual and preview manual that came with it, too.

dreamcast effect, the console actually didn't sell all that great when new and had a stellar lineup of games despite that, sprinkle in the Nintendo collector value bonus, add in disc games being more fragile as well and you got a recipe for expensive as fuck games.

5 bucks, but to be honest I would just resell it for 100 because I already have one

I remember going online to Gamestop's archaic website to preordeer Wind Waker and making sure I'd get the MQ disc.

Good times.

if we get quads do we get all four?

and had a stellar lineup of games despite that

No, it didn't.

Theres more demand than supply and the gamecube era is popular with collectors these days. The people selling just price it at whatever they think people will pay.

Maybe it's just my age showing, but there's an info screen in the game somewhere or maybe it was an advertisement that said something along the lines of "With this and the GameBoy Player, you can play EVERY Zelda game on one system!" which was true up until the DS and Skyward Sword.

better than the Wii and WiiU at least, switch i would argue has a better lineup now but that was still three generations later.

gamecube wasn't even very popular for its time, there's a limited amount of physical copies of gamecube games in existence just like all other retro consoles now. They are only going to get more expensive as millennials age and save money to relive their childhood memories.

I'm old enough

As a 38-year-old man, don't say "I actually got it when" and try to make it sound "2003" was "old."

my parents bought that for me >20 years ago. I got it for free, paycuck.

The GCN Twilight Princess box looks better than the Wii one.

Games.jpg - 1170x844, 198.6K

smiling is bad for you

streamers popularized older games with the younger crowds so it isn't just millennials buying this shit.

the amount of barely 20 year olds buying crts for example is wild to me.

Dont listen to the other two retards, You can get 100+ for fucking wii games.
The real answer is that Nintendo never undersells their games, so the floor for a new copy is basically always at msrp, the used market is going to be 20% less than that (assuming good condition), and the collector market is going to be msrp or higher depending on scarcity within a niche or popularity.

Fags on this board who are legitimately illiterate claim that Nintendo's policy of not devaluing games is "anti consumer" because they dont know what "anti consumer" means and they just arent smart enough to either buy second hand or sell second hand.

Im jealous, I got twilight princess on wii instead, awful mistake because as great as the aiming controls were, the gcn game is worth so much more now.

Oh, no. Someone sold something for less than it's usually worth. Someone get Kotaku to report on this news worthy story....

Assuming the CRT is still functioning (or new; I haven't gone shopping for televisions for... 20 years), owning one makes a substantial, and positively notable difference for the consoles designed for one.

Plus, they're only, what? $50?

$0.01

$12

Does anyone like master quest?

I like your collection, anon. Is there any game you don't own that you would like to have? (gamecube wise)

cheap or free is still occasionally a possibility, but by extension it is showing that younger generations are buying enough retro consoles to want a crt to go along with them. of course there are always outliers with pvms and high end vga monitors.

I enjoyed playing it when I purchased it.
Aside from its description, I can't say I remember too much difference from the original.

i'm missing a couple of the resident evil games, P.N.03, cubivore, maybe the mario party games, other than that i'm not sure

It was alright. The dungeon changes are just kinda silly and just different for the sake of being different. Some areas are a bit harder than the original, but not by much. They made it better in the 3DS version by making you take 2x damage and mirroring the map a la twilight princess.

Whatever my trips are in pennies.

not for resale

ninjas are swarming your parent's house right now. probably shouldn't have posted this publicly

I think I got it because I had a Wii, but I gave my gamecube to my sister since my Wii played all its games and got her twilight princess. I don't think she ever even played it, and honestly I don't think I ever played it on the gamecube either.
All I can remember is that the gamecube supposedly had a mirrored version of the world for some reason.

pretty sick gamecube collection, anon.

meanwhile...

tphd.png - 531x403, 153.52K

I got this digital. Never got the Midna amiibo and never did the Wolf Link dungeon.

what's the site?

price charting dot com. Great resource

Midna amiibo

Its the only amiibo I own. I pre ordered the game at gamestop and I didn't realize the game came with it for the standard price

never did the Wolf Link dungeon

You didn't miss anything

ENTER:

previewt.png - 552x405, 101.85K

and they still haven't ported this or WWHD to the switch.

The fuck? Is this real?

didn't miss anything

I assumed so. Cave of Ordeals but with just Wolf Link wasn't something I wanted to do. The rupee inflation is partially fixed with the stamps and 2,000 wallet anyway.

Did this come with another game, I've never seen this.

there was some promotional ds carts like that, i believe the twilight princess one just plays a video or something.

i got the metroid hunters one.

Yeah, it's the 2005 trailer on a DS cart. Forgot how it was distributed, it's dumped online if you wanna see it. Twilight Princess was the most hyped Nintendo game ever for a very long time.

i waited outside of a media play with my mom and a bunch of neckbeards to get that master quest disc

IMG_6794.jpg - 1227x932, 840.71K

I have that and the pokemon colosseum jirachi disc, I could make like $300~ off of these wtf

OoT without the Muslim chanting in fire temple

Nintendo sold their soul when they bent the knee to censorship. The company hasn't been great since.

looks like it was handed out during a 2005 even, it came with a cardboard sleeve and everything originally.

That looks fucking cool! Does this place still exist anywhere??

not for 20 years. there's probably some videos on youtube. it was amazing. endless aisles of CDs. movie sections where they were playing full movies on DVD on multiple screens. every game released that year, tons of bargain bin shit. they even had a ton of books and comics. even manga. it had literally everything. it seemed to go on forever.

mirrored version of the world for some reason.

because the wiimote was typically held in the right hand, so wagglan on it with link slashing left might have been strange.

fuuuck, I didnt buy it because they didnt fix the game's biggest issue (interrupting midna's lament with that combat music), I should have known.

its from E3 iirc, and I think that was also back when it wasnt open to the public.

Link's Crossbow Training (the game we all bought) doesn't use the wii's mirrored version of the map.
Still such a weird thing they did for that game. I get mirroring Link, but the entire map? Whatever, I guess.

outright say you're going to play the games

"actually that's not a good way to play them"

UHHH I WASN'T PLANNING ON PLAYING LOL

You lost.

Damn that's a bummer. The only places around like that here are just small stores at my local mall. And those place are getting filled to the brim with shitty funko pops.

He said he was just playing OoT.
The disc is fine for OoT. Except the ending part.

pics or it didn't happen

Speaking of Zelda ports

NES Classics on GBA, both Zelda 1 and 2

slight resolution differences but otherwise they're 1:1

That era really was the start of Nintendo doing weird ports of things, wasn't it?

paying money for some tendie bing bing wahoo shovelware

loool

it was possible tech wise and super convent to have nes games on the go nothing weird about it

Animal Crossing for the GCN has an excellent NES emulator. One of the best they've ever made, and it can load any NES rom with an exploit.

some straight up fucking RETARD

and it's just a regular human being that isn't charging scalper prices for retro games

You unironically deserve to have been charged scalper prices.

i hate newfags so fucking much

can easily download an entire console's library for emulation in about a day

someone's willing to pay $100 for a single physical copy

wild

who the fuck is playing anything? nigga gonna put that shit in a display

that's significantly more depressing. games are meant to be played

so it just crashes randomly

This was the way I first played MM when I was a kid, but I don't remember it ever crashing on me. It did, however, have extremely noticeable frame rate drops throughout to the point that even my 12 year old self who had never played the original experience knew that this wasn't how the game was supposed to act.

I can't find my disc for this one. Honestly I'm surprised we haven't seen Master Quest put onto the NSO N64 app as a special version.

Absolutely. Recently got Silent Hill 1 and I intend to play it and get my gf to play it also

Same for me.
Never crashed once but it had those terrible frame rate drops here and there. It's next on my list of games to get for my N64. Would love to play it the way it was intended to.

Recently replayed it on NSO with their N64 controller and had a much better time. Dunno if there are any issues with that version, but I'm sure it's still not perfectly accurate.

Nice. I bought it from Nintendo Power when I was a kid and I still have mine. I'm glad that I was too autistic to sell off my vidya.

Not for resale

You literally own thousands of dollars in that box lmao that's like taking a picture of a chest full of gold bars

Not at all. Wii boxes looked clean.

Any computer past 2000 csn emulate this.

$6

what's wild is how dense you are not to get it

What, that physical is important? Having hard drives with copies of the .iso files works perfectly fine when one of the options is absurdly expensive.

I can play the games for no cost, on any machine, and share it with an infinite number of people. I'm okay not getting it

Double Tales of Symphonia.
Very nice.

All I remember about it is a lot of random ass cows in the walls.

you will never get it

that's fine anon

Not him but, what does having a plastic disk do for you? It costs like $100 for that shiny piece of plastic. You don't own the game itself. You don't even own the art. You own a "license" to play it. I don't need someone to tell me it's ok to take a shit in my toilet. I certainly won't ask for permission to play an old 30 year old game faggot.

Normalfags finally found out the collection is trash because of the shitty emulation on the N64 games, e.g. audio issues.

trips on Anon Babble

This is a (You) scam

That is true (of MM) now, but man, as a kid who just got into the Zelda series courtesy of my grandpa (god rest his soul) in the early 2000s, the Zelda Collector's Edition was as good as it got for its time combined with the fact that up through Twilight Princess, you could conceivably play every Zelda game that had come out up to that point all on the Nintendo Gamecube (provided you had that Gameboy Player for GCN) which even now is still crazy to me that Nintendo went that far to make it easy for new fans like myself to get into Legend of Zelda.

gamingdog.jpg - 3024x4032, 882.31K

gc arent that expensive
I got a Zelda N64 cartridge packaged for 100 bucks and even that was kind of a rip off to be honest.
Prices have dropped again since that weird shill-bidding and grading fiasco.

I just looked and I’m pretty disappointed in the prices these fetch 2bh, from the way you were basedfacing all over the front page I was hoping 500ish at least.
