Soul gas is needed in old ebonheart or your computer explodes.

obnoxious zoomer video
I give credit to this zoomer for sticking with it and finishing the entire game without looking at guides. Dude goes on to admit that he started off not liking the game (that video) because he didn't understand the game at the time. By the end of both DLC he ended up liking the game for what it was.
In my recent first playthrough of Oblivion, the entire time I was thinking "Damn, I wish I was playing morrowind"
He gets it
I was literally thinking this when playing the remastered oblivion as a zoomer
how do i not get filtered by the combat??
just have the green bar full when entering combat and hold the attack button before releasing it instead of spamming it
So is Stormrider a good mod to have?
Choose the weapon type you want to use (for example, Long Blade) as a Major Skill and make sure you are using the correct weapon type.
Make sure you are entering fights with full stamina, as that affects your hit chance.
Take it slow man, it's a game with an actual RPG progression curve, which means your character will be AWFUL at low level. But this makes it more rewarding because you will notice the gradual and dramatic shift as your character gets better.
Also, don't spam click. Hold and release attack for maximum potential.
Imo magic feels way better than melee starting off because spells can't miss like physical hits. You can fail to cast a spell but that's only when you try casting something higher than your skill level can handle.
Alternatively start as a Redguard with combat/long blade as majors and pick the warrior sign and enjoy bonking everything easily right from the start. If you need to bonk harder you just pop adrenaline rush.
And drink fatigue potions ffs.
It's pretty good and fun to sail around.
There's also nexusmods.com
how the fuck do I make potions?
Same thing with FO3 and FNV desu
Jam a mortar and pestle up your ass
This. Buy one and just jam it onto your paper doll.
Morrowind is a game that is moderately challenging for a couple hours and then isn't ever again. A high skill with a decent weapon will kill everything handily, anyone attempting to grow their cash reserve can afford potions and scrolls for all occasions and can pay for training for skills that they need, and even without doing anything to attempt to break the game alchemy gives you infinite health, fatigue, and magicka.
Just keep your stamina full and use a weapon you are good with until then.
Set "always use best attack" to be on
Dunmer girls are the best
I’m using openmw, but I saw there was an OpenMw version and thought it looked fun. I like weird roleplaying shit like that
I appreciate that honesty. I can't stand seeing the "they're all good in their own ways guise :)" posts. Just be fucking honest about which one you like the most. Even if it's Shitrim.
Skychads mindbroke you
There's certain things I like from morrowind/oblivion/skyrim that I wish would get combined into one game. I hate that every elder scrolls sequel I play is more dumbed down than the last. Stupid bugs stay in the game forever and modders are expected to fix it all eventually.
if the player ever reaches more than 255 unspent perk points, the number of perk points available rolls over to zero at 256 unspent points and starts over, causing you to lose those points.
I mean come on
What do you mean
haha fortnite my brain is so rotten i'm so stupid i can't read
Why are they literally all like this?
I'm a teacher in a public school and I'm here to tell you that however bad you think it is, it's much worse.
The only good part of Oblivion is Shivering Isles.
The rest of it is just memes and silly faces. It's "fun" in a snack food way where Skyrim had a lot more meat to it while still keeping the "fun".
Oblivion's faction quests blow Skyrim's out of the water.
Bro. Young Zoomers and Gen Alpha were doing "devious licks" for TikTok clout where they stole shit from their schools ranging all the way up to fucking bathroom stall doors and toilets and whatever else they could get their grubby little hands on and posted about it online.
what can you bribe .. alphas? to read with these days? do pizza parties not work?
Enshittification of culture. Being dumb is seen as cool. Not being able to speak English properly is seen as cool. Reading things is seen as outdated. Genuineness and authenticity are called "cringe".
Anyone growing up now has to be a contrarian or else they fall into all those traps.
Thieves guild, DB, Virtuous Heart, mages guild vaguely though it starts to suck after you get to imperial city guild, mediocre but best in series. Skyrim's thieves guild is a distant second place. Fighters guild has never been good in any TES game.
Do you guys think head/face/hair mods are stupid?
I meant more about the gameplay mechanics. I like how staffs in oblivion just fire off the spell instead of having to pick it from a spell menu. It would be neat if I could cast the spell effect from my enchanted sword in morrowind with just 1 button. Then they had to go ruin it by taking away the active use effects entirely. Did any weapons/items in oblivion or skyrim have any spells or were they all just passive on hit/equip?
I haven't played either of them in over a decade
i think 99.9% of modders just want anime characters, so yes.
That presumes they can in fact read to begin with.
Familiar Faces to make the vanilla stuff look less ugly
I doubt the Imperials of Pelagiad even care that a Camorra Tong slave plantation is in their back yard.
Slavery is protected law in Morrowind. Imperials can't do shit about it.
Is it bad to make a build that has more than one weapon or armor skill?
classes only matter in terms of what stats the skills use. unpatched? if you have ALL skills with the same stat then 100% of all your levelups will have that stat bonus'd and when that runs out you'll miss extra stat bonus points. thats what a class means.
I understand. I was asking specifically because I want to use Spear but still want a skill to level strength.
you'll get every skill to the same level eventually, the major/minor/misc speed is not drastically different. you could choose all noncombat skills in your class and level any weapon in any order you want as long as you do it consistently per-level. no switching weapon types between levelups. i'm pretty sure all the community patches unfuck the vanilla behavior that makes you lose potential stat points anyway so its probably completely meaningless at this point.
Weapon
Not really. Certain thinks aren't "optimal" but that barely matters in this game. Besides different weapons have different attributes attached to them. Want endurance when you level? Use a spear. Want strength? Use an axe. Want to get that +5 bonus without actually leveling up? Use a miscellaneous skill instead. My only recommendation is to avoid taking ALL of the skills of an attribute as major/minor skills so you can still level up a miscellaneous one if you want that juicy+5 without locking yourself out of other stats.
My current character took all the magic skills and that certainly isn't optimal. (but doesn't matter because everything dies to my spells anyway)
thinks
Things. I'm tired.
Levelling miscellaneous skills will raise the attribute bonus when leveling too. It's not just major/minors that give you bonuses so there's now worry there. Strength is probably the easiest to level since there's six different skills for it. Use a spear while jumping to get the bonus strength from acrobatics and the endurance from the spear etc. The benefit to a major and minor skill is that they start off at a higher level so you're already proficient with them instead of missing most your attacks.
You also have the option of paying someone to train you in a skill which is pretty cheap when it's low level.
So here's something I never considered, I arbitrarily decided my character would be around 38 and would have served around Hammerfell in the Navy. Interestingly enough, this would put him in the Illiac Bay before the Dragon Break. Which is cool as an aside, but it made me think, would my character have any weird knowledge of the Warp, outside of the state of the Illiac? How did Talos worship come about? Would my guy know that the cult is only 20 odd years old, or would it seem like ancient traditions to him?
Interesting to consider
Talos replaced Ebonarm. So prior to that he would have worshipped Ebonarm.
I don't think that propaganda is strong enough to make me forget and forgive this
Would he be aware of that? Is it a Roman
oh hey no that's the same as our guy, just call him this now
Or a
I recall worshipping Talos as a child but I know the Temple I did it in was to Ebonarm
Timeline fuckery?
holy dwag, that big fucking difference, i was able slaughter entire bandit's cave.
also i picked warrior class, but can i still you strong magic later on?
there are no closed doors in the character progression, everything is a matter of "when" and the answer is always "now if you've got money"
why banana so short?
strong magic later on
Yes. If you want to get more magicka just raise a skill that is related to int. 10 skill ups will give you the choice to pick +5 on that attribute at level up. Worst case scenario you can chug mana potions between casting spells. A nice starting spell would be something to restore your fatigue over time so you can fight continuously or even run/jump more.
Wealth beyond measure, outlander...
You focus on the story/world/lore/leveling/exploring or literally anything else. Having turn-based-style dodging/missing during action-based combat is utterly retarded and not having any depth/skill or even basic hit reactions makes it some of the worst combat ever put into a videogame. You have to not care about the combat AT ALL or it will filter you out.

Just steal them from the mages guild.
Being dumb is seen as cool. Not being able to speak English properly is seen as cool. Reading things is seen as outdated.

Genuineness and authenticity are called "cringe"
It's like he's describing my high school in 2006

khajiit spotted
I ended highschool in 2002 and I feel like genuineness and authenticity were still seen as cool at that time. But then again I was never cool so wtf do I know. Maybe you're right.
Vivec was the one to actually kill Nerevar
Is the only one who didn't canonically get killed like a bitch by the end of the Nerevarine prophecy fulfillment
I'm still mad about Sotha Sil. The expanded mod is great but it still doesn't fix Almalexia having a giant woman moment. At least you get to kill her yourself in that one.
Just borrow them from the mages guild.
