For those of you who have played the Oblivion remaster; What build do you go for?
For those of you who have played the Oblivion remaster; What build do you go for?
You want to kill the game effortlessly?
Apprentice Breton spellsword
Sneaky Argonian Archer
I went apprentice altmer full wizard. I know what you're thinking, isn't fighting other wizards super shitty? and the answer is a resolute yes.
Sex with Cutter.
Body type 3 is my build
Basic sword and board build but I'm playing on expert and melee becomes shit damage without enchantments, and recharging the weapon is a chore. I'm 27 and maxing out most stats anyway so I focus more on using magic.
Stack resistances you nig nog
stealth archer is a skyrim thing
it suck in oblivion once you hit higher levels and difficulties
No its like playing Q3A instagib rails only. I'm meme'ing anyway, once you get that paralyze staff from the mages guild the game becomes entirely trivial.
the other way around
it's complete irrelevant garbage until you get sneak so high that enemies stop reacting to getting stealth shot
Oblivion isn't Skyrim. Stealth Archer isn't the most powerful build.
Oblivion is closer to Morrowind where magic is king. You can make spells that make you a god. Make you immune to all damage. Let you one-shot enemies even on Master. Let you become permanently invisible and still able to run. Let you paralyze anything.
Magic is king in Oblivion.
Melee is hilariously bad lol.
Stealth archer is still good though.
That chameleon looks like cock and balls, lol.
marksman is objectively the undisputed worst
slow as shit and weak damage
while melee gets an easy gameplay loop of baiting the enemy into getting staggered via your block and swinging twice until they're dead
Once you hit 75+ sneak and get more than 50 percent chameleon (Which is easy with the Ring of Khajiti which gives 35% chameleon and the signal stone that gives 30% charmleon that you can put on anything you like) you're never getting detected again in combat anyway
Crusader
Basically just warrior with restoration
Melee is fine, you've just got to pair it with something else. Like there are poisons which will paralyze a dude and drain all his health at the same time.
God do I wish they'd remove that confirm on the hot bar'd poisons though. Yes I want to poison my fucking weapon thats why I pushed that button.
One handed blade of course
Stealth archer I'm sure was good in Oblivion, but in remastered it feels like sneak levels slower and marksman critical hits are bugged as fuck and most of the time don't work so it feels worse now. Stealth archer was definitely a thing before Skyrim.
Punching.
Marksman is only really good stealth on Expert and Master. It does okay damage.
Melee meanwhile does hilariously bad damage and requires supplements. Usually game breaking custom spells and or poisons.
Magic is king in Oblivion.
And I fucking hate it.
dogshit damage
can't even keep enemies down once you get their fatigue to 0 because they just suddenly get 30% of it back
damage barely scales on the user's fatigue
lol
I like my magefucker recipe
fire damage/damage health/damage magicka/SILENCE, WHORE
Had no difficulty playing though, maybe you're just bad?
if we're going by early and mid game marksman is complete shit until you stack things on it
if we're going by endgame you just will not be bothered shooting enemies when you can combo a weakness to magic spell with a dagger enchant that does big damage
Magic being (mostly) shit in Skyrim was the outlier for TES games. Why is some retard with a sharp bit of metal better than a master of the arcane?
had no difficulty
because you didn't play on any difficulty
i'm tanky as shit on master with capping myself to 85 physical resistance and 70% magic resistance already
can't imagine how easy the defensive side of the equation gets on babby mode
The fun part was getting 100 conjration and getting the perk that let you summon two things at once
Just summoning two daedra lords to tear apart anything was always amusing, just broke the game entirely as nothing bar the highest level dragons could withstand them
heavy armour orc with a big fuck off warhammer and a bit of magic, next character is probably gonna be a nightblade argonian
Spellsword (although I custom created my class).
Spells are easily the most viable way to play in the entire game.
the problem lies in the crafting systems
smithing even at expected levels with smithing 100 and the perk just breaks the weapon hierarchy because it's a flat boost that adds just as much damage to daggers as it does warhammers which makes dual wield builds rape everything while warhammers get cucked by basic bitch sword and board builds in every way
and spells are obviously the only ones exempt from getting improved by smithing while melee and archery gets to benefit from all three crafting skills
and fuck what enchanting does to spells, free spells is such a fucking retarded way to balance magic
Kind of funny how Bethesda tried so hard to not make Skyrim broken and to prevent you from becoming OP by nerfing almost all the Daedric artifacts and the crafting only to infamously create the stealth archer build and a glitch that lets you make potions and enchantments that will make you do one trillion percent more damage
Claymore does almost as much damage as a longsword
While swinging at half the speed
Great balance
and can equip a shield which reduces 75% damage at 75 block and can staggerlock enemies with bashes while the claymore only gets to block 50% at block 100
Its crazy how magic is probably at its most useful but also at its least interesting in Oblivion, like yeah its cool that its tied to a button press instead of an equip, but its just so fucking boring, there's just no reason not to use it so it feels supplemental, also I hate how you don't get cool fusion visuals when you mix elements like you did in Morrowind
I wish one of these faggots would stop making anime hack'n'slash/souls combat mods and implement mount and blades combat system
I actually liked that about Skyrim. One of the few things I did like about Skyrim.
I fucking hated, HATED how easy it is to break the game in Oblivion and Morrowind. In two hours of starting the game you can completely break it with magic and enchanting.
Melee is hilariously bad lol.
Until you get juiced up on alchemy and make giga steroids and ultra AIDS poisons.
I don't even need something that indepth, honestly. Just copy Vermintide 2 or Darktide. Put an emphasis on animation quality, hit reaction on enemies including gore and sound effect and then give us a few satisfying combos on each weapon. It doesn't need to have extreme levels of depth, just be incredibly satisfying to use by virtue of looking and feeling good.
I keep going back to Darktide simply because how good it feels to use the Slab Shield in Darktide as Ogryn. Shield Slamming an entire horde and seeing them ragdoll or turn into bloody mist never gets old. You really do feel like a gigantic monster when playing as an Ogryn. It's only better when you get one of those gigantic monsters rush you and you use your own rush ability and the animations collide with a satisfying smash.
Which is more about Alchemy being powerful and has nothing to do with Melee. Even more so because those potions and poisons are better on a Stealth Archer.
they deliver them slower and can miss
so no, not really
melee weapons are a way better means to use enchants too
Alchemy can't help that much, don't your skills cap at 100 even with buffs?
Which require you to learn the spells and have the magicka for those spells. And again, that's more about Magic itself being powerful.
Melee is dog shit.
Female in sexless armor next to no statue
That's even more true when it comes to magic, the only way that's good is if you're chugging potions non stop
Pet Summoning with big 2H while wearing clothes and jewelry.
Going to do an Undead Summoning, Life Stealing, Damage on Touch Vampire next.
spoken like someone who didn't get to block 75
not to mention the bleed on the blades and the silence on the blunts
Pure magic but I only focused on Restoration & Illusion; glad they didn't patch out 100% chameleon, they even improved it by keeping you somewhat visible.
Not even remotely true. Unless you're a retard who didn't choose Breton or Altmer with a proper birth sign.
i'm glad they didn't remove my baby mode button
Orc battlemage with atronach and bound axe is better actually, plus orc gives unique dialog with Malacaths quest where you help da boss
both atronach and apprentice are retard traps
imagine giving up magicka regen with the buffed willpower or irreversibly fucking your magic damage taken
imagine sacrificing mana pool for something easily substituted by a spell or a pot
mana pool
that does barely anything because mana regen is now agnostic of your max mana
combo 2 fortify willpower spells for 10 seconds, watch it come back in 5 seconds even as high elf apprentice
it's a waste
potions and welkend stones heal magic. I also combine alchemy with my orc's high destruction thanks to the high base willpower and cast weakness to poison as I bludgeon people with my poisened mace
Blade Illusion Stealth Security Mercantile Acrobatics Athletics.
Greatsword Ninja.
The buff you're talking about only helps in the early game
your birthsign will not allow you to go beyond 100 willpower
at which point we're basically the same and I have 100 to 150 more points of magicka
For builds who are dipping into magic but aren't going to raise Int, Apprentice is pretty based.
your birthsign will not allow you to go beyond 100 willpower
fortifying willpower beyond 100 scales your regen you retard, even in the old oblivion
Has anyone incited a goblin war in the remaster yet?
The birthsign doesn't get you above 100, retard
solo magic, on second hardest difficulty, fucking sucks but its fun. if its not some shizam bs i wont use it.
never done up heath and just been using all my magic then running till it restores. once i got that mage staff from the mage guild quest it made the game easier but still fucking tedious
what birthsign faggot
you use mage or lord, every other birthsign is pure shit
50 magicka for 100% weakness to magic is a complete dogshit deal, that's one fucking transcendental sigil stone for a debuff so great it'll take you absorption or reflect stacking or several resist magic items to unfuck
Breton Atronach mage molester
No because they don't exist, it's all a mandala effect egged on by rumors and mods
Goblin wars as in starting a goblin war by stealing a totem and taking it to a different goblin clans base was supposed to be in the game but was scrapped during development
imagine giving up magicka regen with the buffed willpower
Gee I wonder which birthsign I'm referring to
maybe the only one that buffs will by 10?
Pure warrior/fighter/melee. I’m level 15 and want to start over on expert because adept is too easy. I think I will once they fix player heights so I can be an orc.
Not looking forward to doing the fighter’s guild quests again though.
maybe i never implied you should use it?
you're shadowboxing at this point retard, it's mage vs apprentice, and you'be stupid to pick 50 more magicka that only really matters in the very early game for a crippling debuff that will haunt you the entire game
imagine giving up
NOOOOOOOOO I NEVER IMPLIED YOU SHOULD USE IT
gg ez
Boooo, they coulda fixed it up
can you point to even one mention of the birthsign that implies you should be picking the lady?
attribute buff birthsigns fucking suck, you end up maxed in everything by 31 and quest rewards stop scaling at 30 so you'll take those levels anyway
"giving up" (you actually don't you only save 2 +5 levels that you can use on something else) something implies you didn't take it
Being snarky about "giving up" something implies that you should take it
Now take your L and fuck off from the thread
you have to fight a nonexistent argument to even think you're winning lmao
you completely fucking jammed into your tiny cranium that this is about lady vs apprentice and not lady vs mage
apprentice vs mage*
Buddy, the reply chain is visible to everyone
custom mix of battlemage / spellsword that i call the spellmace
Where do I find the rare wines the high elf innkeep is talking about? I’ve been 3 forts and no sign of them.
and it's visible to anyone that you're fighting a ghost of an argument that no one is making it
ask yourself, if i was shilling for the willpower birthsign why in the ever loving fuck would i make a refutation for how all attribute birthsigns are fucking bad
mage gives you 50 magicka
apprentice gives you 100 magicka and ONE HUNDRED PERCENT WEAKNESS TO IT
ask yourself, is this a good fucking deal?
it
itt
Everyone can see that I'm shitting on you because you think that taking the lady and saving 4 levels is fucking worthless against having a bigger mana pool, weakness or no weakness, stunted magicka or not, it doesn't matter, the attribute buff starsigns are a noob trap
illusionist thief
bosmer dagger summoner
yeah, you're right, i'd definitely take the lady and not just level up 2 more times to get to 100 willpower and not just take the no strings attached 50 magicka birthsign
idiot
it's a chameleon sitting on an eye, anon
'Death Dealer' Dunmer who sneaks, stabs and spells.
Still in the beginning, but just me or do caves and ruins sometimes just not havfe anything worthwile to loot? I've entered some goblin ruins two or three times, but I just don't get anything awesome at the end of it.
So you finally concede
the lady is fucking worthless and "giving up" the willpower buff is a non argument?
That's the fun part; You don't. Seriously its like the "find 100 nirnroots" quest. It's pointless fodder to extend the games length. Want to know the amazing reward you get for finding 100 nirnroots?
A potion that grants you nighteye. No, I'm not making this up
I went a weird battlemage thing as an Orc with mostly skills I haven't really made majors before. Made a spell that reduces magic resistance and then hits them with 25 points of both fire and shock and thats been leveling my destruction like crazy.
the lady is fucking worthless
yes, always was
"giving up" the willpower buff is a non argument?
giving up magicka regen in the face of the fact that WILLPOWER AS AN ATTRIBUTE got buffed is fucking stupid
learn to fucking read
Nigga fucking WHAT
Thanks for telling me, seriously, I was contemplating doing that while levelling my athletics.
But we already stablished that you aren't giving up shit
make breton battlemage/spellblade
find that that give 50% magic resistance and 30% magic repel/absorption
become immune to magic
This is the way.
i got 2 from fort magia earlier, and 2 from another fort but i forget which one it was. just google it.
Breton
atronach sign
ring of the mundane
Wtf even is magic
you've certainly given up on trying to learn to read
i'll simplify it so you can understand
STUNTED
MAGICKA
FUCKING
SUCKS
BECAUSE
WILLPOWER
REGENERATES
MAGICKA
WAY
FASTER
IN
THE
REMASTER
understand yet?
You have no idea how disappointed kid me was after spending countless days gathering Nirnroots
that's not THAT bad...
Oh look who can't get inside his tiny cranium that the discussion was never about the atronach
then what was it about? you were the first one to even bring up the lady because you're the one stupid enough to believe that when anyone discusses the apprentice they compare it to fucking lady and not the mage
you completely fucking jammed into your tiny cranium that this is about lady vs apprentice and not lady vs mage
You can't even hold your own position
Just give up already
you're so fucking illiterate that i have no idea what you're even arguing for
you want people to pick the apprentice over the lady? sure, who cares, they're both the same flavour of early game dogshit that give you either nothing or a crippling weakness long term
but why do that when you can just not be a retard and pick the mage that's literally free magicka
Is stealth archery even competent in the remaster? Archery was already kind of shitty in the base game unless you abused already broken things like 100% Chameleon, seeing that getting a sneak attack in would just alert everyone.
Hand to Hand/Mage with Atronach birthsign.
Probably one of my most fun builds.
This or Avowed? I want the one with the better combat and roleplaying (choices in conversations mainly)
You're the one who keeps changing his argument, child
I know you think you're hot shit but you're forgetting that this is a 20 year old game, and there's people who have broken the shit out of it several times
the stunted magicka and the weaknesses are a non issue late game
It's pretty clear that you're a wiki-kid who doesn't even play the fucking game
can't speak for avowed but you're not really a character in oblivion
you click topics and follow quests, choices in conversations are scarce and even if they're there they at most amount to nothing more than flavour that only does anything in the very next line
avowed is probably better when it comes to choices, elder scrolls is more about roleplaying as an adventurer rather than a character
Endgame atronach allows you to instantly restore mana or craft pretty much free spells, so it might be a fun early game challenge.
KCD2, though choices are most often getting you to the same outcome
the stunted magicka and the weaknesses are a non issue late game
you can get to atronach level absorption and magicka bonus with four items, spelldrinker amulet, sorcerer's ring and 2 fortify magicka sigils
imagine wanting to chug consumables late game when it's all about convenience and speed when you can just cast a spell and wait 10 seconds for literally free
and apprentice absolutely does fucking suck, it takes ONE sigil stone to get that magicka and several enchants to counteract the weakness
1H+shield Nord
endgame anyone else lets you cast fortify willpower 100 and not have to bother
How early do you get a horse? I found a horse vendor near Anvil but it cost 4k gold. Will you get one through the story?
Nord Knight
Everything sucks in Oblivion once you reach a high level.
The Dark Brotherhood questline gives the best mount in the game. It's immortal.
Oh, also one of the monks at Weynon Priory will give you his horse for free when you take the amulet to Jauffre.
I know, I was being retarded on purpose.
avowed sucks balls and doesn't even swallow
Thought I had seen your character somewhere before..
Level 26 Orc wizard (but still heavy armor and blunt)
Chose thief sign for 10 luck
Gotten luck to level 91
Still have no idea what it does
boosts all your skills besides athletics and acrobatics by 0.4 for every 1 point of luck above 50
it's not worth it unless it's part of some gay rp because you'll eventually master skills and then it does nothing
You immediately get one after the first oblivion gate, literally the first story quest after the tutorial. BUT the quest will be piss easy and kinda lame if you take it on that early. Best is to do the dark brotherhood quests for shadowmere
Magic allows you to destroy anything even on the highest difficulty.
I went apprentice altmer full wizard
based and same
paralyze staff from the mages guild
ULTRA based and same
Ok so luck is probably the least understood attribute in Oblvion and yeah it's understandable why given the game doesn't fucking tell you what it does
The way it works is that the luck skill works as an invisible boost to every single one of your skills. The higher your luck, the higher the boost. A luck stat of 50 which all characters start with gives you a 0 percent boost. A luck of 100 will grant you an invisible boost of 20 points to all your skills. So you know, you will hit harder with blade and blunt weapons, you'll sneak much better, your locks will break less often all spells will cost less etc etc
It's just you know like I said an invisible boost and I do somewhat get why the game doesn't explain this as it is rather hard to explain
rolled a mage but stopped playing after 13 hours. hated the combat, the dungeons, most quest were fetch bullshit. boring.
I do quite like that the remaster makes Shadowmere jet pitch black and all sort of shadowy and have glowing red eyes unlike in the OG in which without mods it's just a black horse
Always been interesting from a L O R E perspective though given that we see it first in Oblivion only for it then be granted to you again 200 years in the future and it rises out of a fucking gooey magic pool and you know, is immortal and all. Is it supposed to be some kind of vampire horse or daedric horse or something?
Nightblade/spellblade aka do everything build. Have enough passive chameleon on enchants to sneak comfortably and a spellcast gets me to 100% if I want to skip content. Also have shield/magic resist enchants too and atronach sign so I'm tanky too, and I hit just as hard as a warrior with a sword. The only thing I can't do is abuse destruction magic.
Most quests were fetch bullshit
Quest to enter a painting
Quest to enter someones dreams
Quest in which you're duped into buying a haunted house
Quest in which you act as an undercover informant to bust a gang of sluts preying on men
Quest in which you have to murder an entire party of people without them noticing you
Quest in which you steal an elder scroll
Did you confuse Oblivion with Skyrim? I get it if you mentioned Skyrim given 90 percent of Skyrims quests are "I lost my grandfathers buttplug go to a cave and kill some bandits/draugr and get it back for me"
Why is it so hard to find an answer this straight forward on TES forms. Do TES fans even play the game they shill? Thank you btw.
Does that boost secretly raise the skill level cap then, like 100 in heavy armor is actually 120?
the main quest is literally just martin's shopping list and other filler like spies, allies for bruma or destroy this bruma gate
Khajiit Illusionist/Nightblade/Vampire
Lean more into using Frenzy/Command/Calm than just spamming Chameleon (Except on gates).
Fun build. Can't wear armor but illusion mogs conjuration and the magic cost is really low so it still feels good even without min maxing. Can toss calm into Absorb Health/Magic Spells and just suck things dry, no homo
Good thing nobody does the main quest then.. Does make an interesting change not being the chosen special one mind as thats Martin and not you
because it's a retarded answer, you pick mage or lord
mage is better for more magical playstyles
lord is good for anyone else
if you use literally zero magic ever and don't want to pick breton pick atronach
every other birthsign is a pure roleplay meme
So... What magic schools should you major in for a Battlemage?
Destruction
Restoration
Illusion
Alteration
Conjuration?
I don't remember if alchemy was shit or not
Most cringe Oblivion builds? I'll start:
Wearing a full set of clothing to min max enchantments instead of robes as Mage
if you use literally zero magic ever and don't want to pick breton pick atronach
Doesn't breton + atronach give you magic immunity right from the start?
Post your custom spells bros
Depends on how good your clothes look.
ghost nipples
also the crusader set prefers being light so at heavy and light armor both being 100 i get the shittier, less durable and less protective light version
thanks
half of the spells that hit you get absorbed and of those half that hit you get 50% resisted
it's a 75% resistance with some rng
it's much easier to just stack up that 50% breton magic resistance to 100 with the lord giving 15 more
Alchemy is on paper completely busted if you're autistic enough to craft potions
No clue why the ghosts look so.. Off in the remaster can't have been that hard to just make someone look see through or spectral instead they look like those weird people who have painted themselves to look like statues
There have been upgrades in the remaster but the ghosts and spirits are not one of them I mean ghosts have gone from looking like spooky, intangible faceless beings to weird the real ghostbusters creepy smile things
Played it for about 5 hours for the nostalgia factor. Realized it's still the same boring Bethesda slop it has always been and promptly canceled game pass. Even got a refund on my dollar since i was in the 14 day trial period. Can't complain about that
they are forced to wear the prisoner's shackles, symbolizing that they are a slave to the meta
bravo todd
only illusion cheesers give a shit about that 5% spell effectiveness
Just install a mod that adds non-armor gloves lmao.
Unarmored skill mod when?
that head looks so fucking bad
it 100% reminds me of old Oblivion mods that would add really fucking weird races from furshit IPs
the khajiit and argonians unironically look much worse in the remaster
I left my luck at 69 with some positive enchantments
i'm so pissed about the argonians, why did they give them the huge ass snouts? they look like cartoon dinosaurs not lizardmen, thankfully there is a mod that makes them look a lot better but still
I always went for a full set of the lowest possible weight clothing. 0 weight pants and shirts are fairly rare, so it actually felt like hunting for rare gear, kinda like hunting for daedric and glass in Morrowind.
Your robes can't compete with my shants
Breton outside of being a dedicated mage.
I have no idea what I'm doing so I just hit things with my sword and heal myself with magic
Redguard Unarmed. Named him Mike Tyson and wore only a hooded robe beating up random townfolk while running from the law.
Because of ESO.
shooting 30 arrows per bandit is annoying master difficulty is gay as fuck
You did keep the 0 weight bracers from the start of the game, right?
How is the hand-to-hand combat in the remaster? I'm trying to play a sort of the same build as you in the OG and it suck dicks. Holy shit it's bad.
Breton Mage, because breaking the game with spells is fun.
kill most enemies in the game with 2 spells, maybe a third for some special encounters after level 25
all of my combat related skills are still in the 30s and 40s in the end game because I never have to use them
instantly turn any NPC into my friend, merchants will buy my shit practically at full price
don't even need fast travel anymore, buff acrobatics to 500, jump across cyrodiil in a single leap
the acrobatics buffs expire right before I hit the ground
It feels much better, the four hit combo feels weighty, better movement for power attacks, and the ability to +5 strength every level speeds up the damage scaling.
I feel like after level 20+ it won't do enough damage anymore but it still will have the fatigue damage and disarms so still useful while I'm throwing out touch spells.
Oblivion
Stealth archer
Honestly, this is like the biggest give away that some ones first elder scrolls game was Skyrim.
Stealth archers fucking SUCKS in oblivion, sure you can max cameleon but you dont even need to be an archer for that.
Battle mage and mage was THE build in oblivion.
How do you make good enchantments?
most I can get is magika +24
Pfft, not putting your speed and acrobatic buffs onto shadowmare and just flying across the map and not giving a shit if your horse dies because you just bring it back.
BIG BLACK SOUL GEMS
Chameleon Daggers were the one shot king.
especially combined with enchantments and poisons.
You can always tell archer as a meme when they put the fucking elven bow as the best bow.
everyone knows hatreds > every other bow
Crusader set prefers light
elaborate
people unironically say this shit when every single mer looks like only slightly better than pic related
Yeah thats my point, stealth archer sucks ass compared to other aspects of the game.
You make an enchantment or potion to raise enchanting
repeat 50 times
make whatever you want
For armor, transcendent sigil stones you get for closing Oblivion gates after level 17 are better than enchanting armor yourself. Only problem is that you don't get to choose what stone you get, and you have to go through a dungeon slog to get the stone (unless you cheese it by rushing to the end with 100% chameleon I guess).
desu i actually think the og had better graphics in general
Stealth archer isn't even average for the early phases of the game right now because of the x1 sneak attack bug. Every fight runs the risk of turning into a long, obnoxious round of kiting until your Sneak gets high enough to let you farm for real sneak attacks without being detected after the first one.
Quicksave in front of the sigil stone and keep rerolling if you're going to cheese them
Stealth archer isn't even average for the early phases of the game
Its not even good in later parts of the game either. Because of how the game scales you just cant do enough damage even with stealth bonus to be worth it.
First time with Oblivion. 70 hours in and I still have no fucking clue what the difference is between Chameleon and Invisibility spells. I also kind of want to kill whomever thought the Staff of Sheogorath was a proper reward for clearing the Shivering Isles.
Invis is a cheap chameleon 100 that ends when you do somerhing
Chameleon just helps with sneaking
smhtbhfam
im lvl 15 and i dont like the build I have so far.. but am i right in thinking it doesnt really matter? i mean ive maxed out attributes already i guess only the "skills" matter my mis-placed attributes are not a big deal?
thx
The only thing that actually "matters" is race and birth sign, and thats mostly for min maxing/ breaking the game.
what the difference is between Chameleon and Invisibility spells.
You can do shit while Chameleon is active.
You can't do shit while Invis is active.
Chameleon > Invis
Ring of Khajiti, An Amulet with a Sigil stone, A ring you make yourself - that gets you 95% chameleon, freeing up your entire clothing set for whatever, waterbreathing, detect life etc, do the last 5% chameleon with a spell you've made.. 100% Chameleon obliterates detection, you can punch guards in the dick and they have no idea where it came from.
breaks the game completely.
100% chameleon is the invis perfected. A must have for master difficulty. Lets me get close to paralyze and shock.
Lady used to be the shit though in OG
Guys umbra basically always sucked in this game aside from getting it at low levels.
In expert and master you have to have magic weapons and 99% of your damage is going to come from elemental damage such as shock and frost when applied with the combo of weakness to element and magic.
Unironically the best weapon is proabbly the daedric dagger because you can swing fast with it and its the strongest dagger in terms of health.
lady
always worthless
RETARD ALERT
RETARD ALERT
the only of the attribute birthsigns that isn't made completely worthless by levelling up twice is the thief because it gives 30 and one of them is luck and even then luck isn't that good
it's mage and lord now, atronach for non breton non spellcasters, all else is rp tier
Really? I think the human NPCs look butt fucking ugly and only the furry/beasts look like an objective improvement
If you check nexus there's a hand to hand mod, some dude messed with the numbers slightly to make it more lethal. Playing a monk Khajit with it.
Min maxing in Oblivion
Kill yourself
humans are hit or miss, but mostly are hits i think. i haven't seen a single argonian or khajiit i think looks good.
Nigger you get umbra without doing the quest
It is weightless, you cannot lose it from being disarmed and it scales
That's in OG anyway
i accept your concession
lady is a larp birthsign, as is anything that isn't mage or lord
Correct me if I'm wrong but OG oblivion was the same as Morrowind and health was applied off your Endurance at the level up, not retroactively
Meaning maxing END as quickly as possible was the best
That's why Nord spellspear under the lady in morrowind is hilariously OP
Punchcats are always fun
I mean, it still sucks so I'm not sure what your point is in responding to that Anon. It's objectively worse than a weapon you enchant yourself.
A weapon that is weightless, couldnt be disarmed, had the highest base damage output available and levelled up with you was not shit

no, nothing came even close to the significance of atronach, you make a short cheap ancestor ghost summon, provoke it and let it recharge you and it was way better than spending fucking days of ingame time resting
turning your nose up at 75 END at level 1
Lmao
I wanted to use stealth and melee on a custom nightblade but I quickly discovered the power of restoration and went full vampire mage.
turning your nose up at being able to make a mage out of anyone and having an effective 50% magic resistance in a game where magic resistance needs to be stacked through individual elemental resists
health is a number you'll get by playing the game
nothing can come even close to what atronach can give you
Every single class is capable of breaking the game eventually via items, alchemy and enchanting, and I'm not turning my nose up at other broken builds
You will never get the same health as starting at a higher END, that is a fundamental mechanic of the game
Every single class is capable of breaking the game eventually
then why the fuck are you obsessing over increasing your health early game at the cost of endgame
atronach becomes more and more relevant as you play while the fucking lady becomes less relevant as your bulk will come more from your armor than raw health
obsessing
Lmao what?
every class breaks the game eventually
endgame
So it's irrelevant compared to even shitty builds by that point
i just stand on rocks and let the stupid ai pathing run into a wall and stand there while i blast 100 arrows at their head until they are dead.
Yes I'm playing on master difficulty.
Consider poisons
I just random roll my start. Fuck metaslaving. Improvise. Adapt. Acquire competency.
Pure mage Khajiit with apprentice sign, only a little disappointed that robes hide their tails now.
bodies don't float in water any more and just immediately plummet to the bottom like a sack of bricks
Made that Go Fish quest much harder than it should have been.
i use them on harder enemies. i enjoy stacking poisons in the remaster. i mainly just shoot them a bunch to level marksman early.
genuinely, if youre going to do this, just add them by console command
if you have some moral hangups about it or feel like it will ruin your "experience" just add one per closed oblivion gate and be done with it
melee on its own still isn't great but stacking weakness to magic and then getting one hit of bleed from blade weapons is enough to one shot enemies on master. which is really more about destruction still being busted but you can finish them off with a slash instead of with a fireball.
lol
13 more starting health
3 more health per level for 5 levels until the non lady catches up
wow, that's 28 health more
revolutionary
surely better than being able to cast hearth heal more than once and having an effective 50% resistance to magic
both atronach and apprentice are retard traps
haha! hehe!!
why would you play like this
Damage is the deciding factor and enchanted weapons out damage it.
base damage
still lower damage
levels with you
still lower damage
I really genuinely don't know what your horse is in this race. It's a fact that enchanted weapons will outperform it. If you want to use it, use it.
Why the fuck is combat so shit? Isn't this a remake? I know they call it a remaster but it sure doesn't look like a remaster.
Anon no you're supposed to just respond with an insult, you can't actually address the substance of the argument.
remaster = we bought some ue5 assets now give us 100 dollars
you got the definitions wrong then
remake is making the game with the same blueprints while a remaster is taking the existing stuff and polishing it
a remake is deep, a remaster is shallow
like ure moms bagina LOL GOTTEM XDD
But this doesn't just look like a resolution boost like most remasters. The models look completely remade.
it's literally just a graphical overhaul
the actual game running underneath is still just Oblivion, the original version
Bethesda didn't even make it, they outsourced it to another studio
it's still the exact same game underneath
only the visuals really changed
you can use all the gamebryo console commands because it's just wearing an ue5 skin
Yes, it's the same game but with a graphical update. A remaster. Were you expecting a port with upscaled textures?
