Environmental destruction?
Environmental destruction?
*destroys map*
now can't play the game anymore ever again
lol
LMAO
That's lost tech you dumbass
nope. i think there will be technologically impressive stuff but that's not happening for many reasons.
yes it would be cool but not a possibility
no tech is lost tech they just don't recover the price you pay for it.
if majority of your base doesn't cares for physics then why bother
it only works for games like mining crafting games and the worms
or teardown (which is kino).
also it would a challenge to balance the same if most of the environment is distractable
We still don't have real environmental destruction, I remember people endlessly hypeposting about gta 5 thinking the whole game would let you bring down skyscrapers because of that 5 seconds in blitz play they showed in a trailer where a pre-animated concrete barrier breaks in a cutscene. Even in new releases it's still a toss-up between which props will shatter into gibs or send off a few particle effects and do nothing else.
Could they simply never deliver on it? Does nobody care about it? The only newer game I can think of that even has it to a significant degree is DRG
never heard of it. looks a bit like minecraft but with vehicles or something. oh well doesn't matter. in any case, i don't think most games would benefit from it. only mildly gta type of game i can think of is red faction guerilla but that game was build around the system and it was mainly structures that you could destroy, not lands. anyway sure it was fun for some time but got old pretty fast.
i don't think i'd want or need destructable world in gta. sounds just annoying. it's enough if i can drive through some fences or bushes or small sheds or something along those lines that you can in other gta games
teardown is nothing like minecraft, it's a heist/puzzle game.
you'll take your deformable mud from rdr2 for dirtbiking and like it
also maybe mud wrestling? wonder if the melee combat will be improved from red dead
Shills seething ITT because they know they're about to lose their jobs
LMAO
If Rockstar weren't capable of delivering this by V then they have no hope of doing it now.
I don't see how that would benefit gta game. At worst it would permanently fuck up missions for your save file and you'd have to restart the game
its a balancing act my anons
red faction was all destructible at the cost of being a real game
gta is the opposite
a few pieces of battlefield style 'leveloution' wouldn't go amiss, be it on new saves or multiplayer lobbies
yes. they have maintenance crews that come along and fix things as the game plays out.
In online this will be a RP Job.
ok now go back to flinging shit at each other like the simple minded faggots you are
am I a joke to you?
it’s amazing how all you queers play the worst games made in the last 7 years. you’re literally all faggots
no wonder women don’t notice you at all
you’re all total pussy ass bitches
nuke mod when
No, way too much work, way too performance heavy. way too much to account for. Like what if you level a building and then the next mission takes place in it. It would be just as immersion break.
given the popularity of tsunami mods in both 4 and 5 i am half hoping for a hurricane event in vanilla to flood streets and blow away street furniture
And i don't think Rockstar are capable of the technology in Teardown either. The last crackdown claimed to have some pretty crazy stuff technology like that but then it got stealth downgraded before release.
remember when gta5 had cars where the wheels could fall off and fuel tanks could be punctured then dropped it for multiplayer because lag and desync kept causing issues?
more destructibility in vehicles would be cool even if limited to single player
i don't think Rockstar are capable of the technology in Teardown either
You don't think a AAA game dev studio with a blank check could match a voxel indie? They could probably do an internal game jam between releases and make something like teardown in a few months, if that
vehicles got downgraded deformation after OG gen as a band-aid for broken metal clipping into your head in first person, OG deformation wasn't made with this in mind so VI won't have this issue as it'll presumably come standard at launch as it did in RDR2
there's still deformation in V, you can still make tires pop off and fuel tanks weren't even changed at any point as far as I know, you might be confused because you shot at an electric car which became more prevalent as GTAO went on and enjoy extra explosive resistance and no fuel tank explosions
I didn't say voxel indie, but the actual environmental destruction model in their game. They're not capable of anything this advanced, since the devs had to program their own engine to create the complex physics simulations that are in teardown. Stop deliberately taking things out of context.
i dont recall myself whether it was a change or simply always that way but still a feature lost for online, made all the more obvious by the fact jerry cans work for the whole burning fuel trail thing
Do you think it would be worth it to have destruction physics like that in a game the size of GTA 6? It's fine for small games like this but there's already so much going on in a Rockstar game this just isn't a realistic ask.
if assigned to do so Rockstar could absolutely recreate Teardown on their own, how the fuck is this even an argument
the devs had to program their own engine to create the complex physics simulations that are in teardown
damn... how will Rockstar ever decrypt the arcane technology needed to render destructible environments in a 100 sq ft map? if anything they'd optimize the game and we'd have structural integrity by default, I don't think you're appreciating the differential scale in manpower and resources
GTA's "problem" is that they online heavily holds back the single player so I doubt we'll get anything super cool stuff even in 6
Game set in a literal swamp
But can I DESTROY the swamp?
Sure, go ahead
they showed in a trailer where a pre-animated concrete barrier breaks in a cutscene
I wonder what stuff being hypeposted about now from the GTA 6 trailers will turn out to be bogus.
hopefully you can crash a plane into twin towers and blow them up
Nope. You will get fancy graphics after 12 years and you will be happy.
damn we're getting ALL of that???
GTA5 already did nearly everything, unironically what more is there to do???
yes. After 12 years, 2 generations and a delay were getting Gta 5 2 with RDR2 features
make every interios enterable and every NPC have a full routine. Also destructible environments with NPCs working on construction in real time
hot coffee
San Andreas wasn't the 5th game
destructible environments
wouldn't make sense for mission structure, also unrealistic to achieve in an open world context.
make every interios enterable and every NPC have a full routine. Also destructible environments with NPCs working on construction in real time
sounds like autistic retard shit
but without nameless generic goon NPCs i cant engage in my favorite AI fights wherein i bait one group into fighting another ad nauseum as reinforcements continuously arrive to replace the fallen
guess we will have to settle for prettier Gta 5 then... shame. Was hoping for a real next-gen but oh well. No need for the industry to move forward. Thats okay with me :)
I'd be fine with just destructible cars like IV but we won't even get that.
expanding the sandbox capabilities
WTF fuck off autist
growing grass, growing hair, shrinking horse balls
OAAAAAAAH!!! ROCKSTAR DA GOAT!!!! DA GOAT!!!! DA GOAT!!!!
Was hoping for a real next-gen
Current gen is already nearing its end, and GTA5 is a current gen game not a next-gen title.
just wait for FiveM2 to mod in all the autistic features you want
imagine if you could bait an NPC into a fight, they get beaten up, paramedics come pick em up on stretcher and take them to a hospital, you wait outside the hospital for them to get released and start another fight again. Eh too much imagination. Just give me another "drive from A to B and kill X amount of goons" simulator.
Btw what you described only exists in Watch Dogs 2. In GTA npcs just move on.
how about the trillion dollar company does it? I mean its not like they dont have the most profitable and anticipated entertainment product in the history of humanity
*GTA6
More interiors
retard
they're making an action game, not a city sim.
Current gen is already nearing its end
exactly. And GTA 6 is still over a year away. Would expect some mind blowing shit in that time. Its the only proper current gen game were getting and its only gimmick is.... graphics. WOW! I know its current gen but I call it next gen cuz there have been barely any real current gen games
didnt the trillion dollar company buy fivem? theres a reason you have profitable servers that take2 dont sue into oblivion
action game with retarded shit like penny physics and beer bubbles. Okay buddy. All Rockstar games usually have some autistic features that blow your mind but this one just doesnt have anything
if modders can do better job than rockstar then thats a shame. They should use their budget to make better games instead of going back and censoring 20 year old games
why would i wait outside the hospital if its fully enterable and destructible?
and what i described is something i do in vanilla gta, just need to bait the right factions
there have been barely any real current gen games
There's been many, current gen just isn't nearly as capable as you seem to believe. Console CPUs hardly improve each generation, and simulation tasks are CPU-heavy.
nothing about 4 or 5 blew my mind, I know some people creamed over 4's physics for the time but it never wowed me when I saw it.
all of these games could work on ps4 with some downgraded graphics and optimalization (seemingly including GTA 6). PS5 aint shit
I agree, and that's basically my point
wow you really are an autistic retard lmao
how much do you weigh?
I don't see why the destruction has to be as destructive as RFG's, most permanent buildings can mostly withstand damage like that, being made from brick and mortar it'd take a lot more to properly bring them down; only American-style Freedomboard homes would actually collapse like that.
Even if not, all you'd really need is an indestructible foundation and destructible walls (maybe floors) that crumble under enough bullets or an explosive, maybe a tank, for some emergent gameplay and immersion without compromising missions, otherwise it's no different. Right?
True, but GTA6 being “next-gen” is kinda meaningless if it doesn’t push the genre forward in any way beyond prettier graphics. At this point people expect more than just eye-candy — better AI, deeper interactivity, systemic gameplay. Otherwise we're just roleplaying in a static movie set again.
GTA6 is not "next gen"
make every interios enterable and every NPC have a full routine.
I don't think I've seen many games do this. Still a rare concept.
