OH FUCK NOOO MY GAMING PC!!!
OH FUCK NOOO MY GAMING PC!!!
Did anyone really fall for the liquid cooler meme?
watercooler
Lel.
liquid cooling
found your problem.
more like liquid SHIT lmao
Done by me, sorry. The VNs were too good
don't shoot ropes into your pc retard
Aren't there liquids that won't fry electronics if they get on them? I thought those were used in liquid cooling.
I spilled monster through the top vent on my previous PC.
It actually survived. I shut it off instantly and I even tried turning it on while it was still wet (it wouldn't) like a retard. It still survived that
water cooling
deserved HAHAHA

Yeah, it might still run for a while, but it won't last long if you leave it. I’d hit it with 99% isopropyl alcohol to clean out the sticky residue before it gets worse.
I spilled coffee over my laptop couple years ago. After giving it some considerable thought, I decided to just rinse insides of it with water. It was fine after drying for 2 days.
It was a nice experiment.
He didnt buy a waterproof GPU
I could run oblivion in the mariana trench
i thought any liqued instantly kills pc componetns
God forbid you just run air cooling and hear some fans every once in a while
your 'puter came on you, you're gay now sorry
Yeah, modern PCs are surprisingly resilient, but definitely not waterproof. If you spill something, shut it down immediately. For water, just let it dry out or use a hair dryer on the cool setting if you're in a hurry. If it's soda or anything sticky, hit it with 99% isopropyl alcohol ASAP, or it'll start to corrode.
That's why I prefer it over liquid cooling — worry-free, maintenance-free, reliable, and longer-lasting than AIO.
falling for the liquid cooling meme
have the same AIO for 5 years
0 issues
0 noise
constant low temp
don't need gigantic heatsink+fans
oh no, what a terrible waste
I killed my graphics card doing that, I have since positioned my tower well outside the potential spill zone.
Watermeme'd
It's called distilled water. It's non-conductive until it picks up ions, which in a watercooling setup can take awhile.
Works on my AIO.
nomies use water cooling
just leave it at stock power limit and don't even overclock anything
what's the point?
For that scenario, less wear and tear from heat. Not uncommon for some server setups.
For the 7800x3d it handles the temp spikes better
15 years of PC gaming
built 3 PCs total
not a single hardware failure ever
Still got a 13 year old HDD from the first build thats now an external drive, doesnt even sound crunchy yet
Sometimes you're just blessed
I like seeing my i9 running at 30 degrees under load.
Liquid cooling
Not buying a all it on contained system
You fucked up anon
You NEVER do custom liquid cooling unless you get it done by someone that has it insured or YOU know what the fuck you are doing.
overclocking is not for normies like watercooling is
also most parts are factory overclocked these days anyway
Or you know, the dust inside your PC.
tell friend to build his own PC
he pays for some ultra meme water cooled pipe nightmare aquarium PC
$7000 dollarinos
Runs out of space in 6 months and spends another few hundred paying someone to disassemble the thing to install SSDS
Shit leaks and ruins his PC
its somehow my fault
Hence why it's a general rule of thumb to flush your system every six months to a year.
Did this like 10 years ago
Motherboard has dust permanently binded to it
and it's still truckin
doesnt matter when most people choose coloured coolant into their systems for meme points.
is it a problem if i dont use my pc for weeks on end?
why did you ruin his pc? not ok
I've started to see less of that over the years. Especially with the pastel shit that gunks up quickly. If you want color in your loop so bad just dye the tubing.
Yeah, I had done something similar with some weak iced tea I mixed together.
Tower was on the floor beside my shitty makeshift desk (a dresser without drawers). I was reacting to something posted here and swung my hand a bit which knocked the cup right over the top of the tower.
Jumped up and unplugged my PC with such speed, some would call me a superhero...
Wiped it best i could. It was a bit sticky but could've been worse if i had made strong iced tea like i normally do, but that day was a weak iced tea day and im thankful for that.
My 1060 lived to see the day i replaced it with a 3060 which im replacing in a number of days with a built from scratch PC using a 5080.
adding plumbing to your electronics
This is why god invented pressure valves
Sometimes you're just blessed
I believe it's more of a sour grapes kinda thing but whatever
water and electronics don't mix well i'm afraid
I thought water cooling had been improved severely?
in the sense that AIO became popular so sillies stopped messing up their pc's with botched custom loops
What's the point of water cooling?
My $40 chink cpu fan keeps my 9800x3d perfectly cool.
novelty factor
brain damage
bragging rights
5°C lower temps
he built a PC instead of a PSea
Custom loops were more useful back when aios were new and prone to issues and fan heatsink combos mostly sucked for overclocking. Nowadays the hardware has caught up for both. It's more a hobby than anything else now.
My $40 chink cpu fan keeps my 9800x3d perfectly cool.
and to me those looks like ass, but you know, to each their own
I think they're cool looking if you go for a plain black build
I know some people like the pumps with the temperature display but I personally think those look gaudy
do pcs really need that much cooling? I had a CPU running at 90c for years and never had a problems
Ur right chunky, they don't
This is actually my worst nightmare. I never ever drink anything in my room for that reason.
Same. i just have my stock cooler,
But my PC is so hot
If you get an XBAWKS HUEG air cooler you won't even hear it.
fan heatsink combos mostly sucked for overclocking
The Noctua NH-D15 G2 would like to have a word. Only a few degrees difference, but what you get is bulletproof reliability.
Those metal clips are the shittiest thing to ever exist, fucking coolermaster did it right over 2 decades ago. Why are we going backwards instead of with MAGNETS?
mineral oil
It is 100% bitch to maintain.
Above 80° is a range where there will be almost imperceivable wear over a long period of time, assuming you're running the system for days straight at that temp, and some smaller components can fail quickly.
Above 100° is the point where components begin to suffer permanent degradation at a noticeable rate, which is why a lot of motherboards have an automatic shutdown failsafe when stuff goes to three digits.
Tons, bro. Like, stupid amounts of ppl.
watercooling makes next to no noise, which makes it easier to seed while sleeping next to my pc
Kek'd
Neither does air if you're effectively idling...
