Is there any recommended route order, or are there routes that should just be avoided period? I enjoyed the initial 100 days but whenever I peek into these threads I only see people drowning in misery because the route they are currently on was written by Uchi.

Do Second Scenario first and then work your way backwards from there. Second Scenario being the first ending you get seems to be the intended way to do it.

I had no preconceptions about either of these writers going in. This is basically my first VN. But Uchi route fucking sucked. That's the only thing I have to add. Making the other choice instantly restored my faith in the game. I don't even think it matters what additional choices you make along that branch, as long as you make that first choice.
Consider the BEES route once you've done the real one and want to read some fanfic tier shit with the same cast of characters and setting. Or if you just have very weird (bad) taste.

This is Kodaka's best work so definitely. It's also coupled with Uchikoshi's worst work but it's easily avoidable.

World's End Club and Rain Code don't really matter in this conversation because they were contracted workers on those projects and weren't paying a cent for them at all. All of them existed to fund The Hundred Line in the first place.

I checked some articles after beating the prologue and the Second Scenario requires pretty specific choices to get to, bit weird if the devs wanted for this to be your second route. Right now I already had Darumi get killed off by the sexo commander, not sure if that was supposed to happen.

don't worry, the only illogical choice you have to make is to sacrifice kyoshika instead of takemaru. Most people obviously chose the latter, and it lead to Cult of Takumi being the most played route.

You get to raise them all to max pretty easily, so just do stuff at your own pace. You do get a bit extra for the first gifts you give to everyone, so do that. The Bio lab upgrades are the most broken shit ever, so focus on them

Yeah, the satellite exploding from the missile might be unreasonable. Assuming the missile is capable of piercing the satellite wall, it would have successfully killed everyone anyway though. Having it explode makes it more dramatic, and most people won't think about it.

Shouma has some niche uses with his voltage attack wiping out entire sections of the map as well as keeping small fry occupied for a turn. I'd probably argue that Kurara is worse since all she can do is place turrets that can't even shoot within 1 space of them.

Kurara is actually really good early on before you can break the game in half with potions. He turrets synergize with fences, as enemy naturally surround the fences, which are perfectly in range to give turrets maximum coverage. Even her ultimate is really good at busting bosses when fed some enemies. However, outside of that she falls off in usefulness really hard, so I'd rate them about the same in usefulness though.

You can soup it up with his passive, but you're better off using his ultimate.

It's pretty funny how Nozomi basically ended up feeling like the least suitable love interest for Takumi in this game out of the girls he actually has romantic scenes with

Its damage is boosted by shouma's tank skill so it's there if you don't have anyone else available to hit something and you don't wanna waste the voltage. It also hits in a 4x4, and you can heal the stun with nozomi. Though by late game you probably can just wipe out the invaders with just takumi and a bunch of agility potions.

I know you're playing it up for the joke, but Samurai girl offers her life. Gaku actually helps out a lot and the tomato girl has an equally annoying character trope and then finally Shouma basically grabs your, the reader's nuts, and pointedly says "HEY IF I SUCK HER THEN I WILL REVEAL THE TRUE STORY"
This ending is evidently logical. It's not that the writers put in stupid shit like I have a vision that says Gaku must live" because people wouldn't do it otherwise, it's to make it clear where the 'truth' route lies.

there's a reason the writers say there's no true ending, 2nd scenario this one has the satellite get blown the fuck up and everyone except Nozomi get killed stopping the missile attack. They might've learned the truth, but there's plenty of endings where more of them survive and they achieve peace between both sides., and in SF Hiruko and Takumi basically become complete psychopaths trying to end the timeloop, brainwashing their friends, fucking over other timelines, ignoring gigantic warning signs about the artificial satellite (like Eva is going to be killed as soon as they land, 100%), purely so they'd get 17/17 bodies on board the pod just to test their theory that it'd be over
