this game is vastly disliked here albeit
improved combat encounters, where sorcery has been changed from simple attack from distance into plethora of options, in terms of speed, distance, stagger damage
utility spells such as eternal darkness, thops's barrier, carian retaliation; all being high skill ceiling and niche
many weapon ash of wars which increase build defining features in the game, and uniqueness for each player; your build is most likely not the exact same unless you are simply choosing to not engage with anything
aside from gameplay improvements
interesting niche bosses, simple bosses like yhorm the giant are now more unique such as rykard
bosses are vastly harder, yet very much so doable; they have interesting unique defining attacks; margit with its holy incantation attacks, godfrey with stomps, malenia with malenia attack
dlc even more so improved bosses, where bosses like messmer and rellana have ranged, melee and interesting combos that can be chained back to back, creating dynamic movesets
most of the zones are extremely different and unique, improvement from ds2/ds3
there are issues with the game, sure; but the game itself is an insane improvement on the franchise and gaming as a whole
