Pirates don't deserve human rights

thats tyranny and dictat

If pirates all died, what sector of society would suffer?

>soon you'll have your internet access cut off

My ip doesn't have anything on it but porn thoughever.

file.png - 2490x138, 41.46K

I use a vpn

michael jackson was right about sony

I'm sure VPNs are next on the corpo slime's list

why haven't you killed yourself yet?

Most of them are turdies so they barely qualify as human.

internet

Pirates are the ones preserving old games. Most companies lose or throw out their old code when they're done, or they charge $80 for a 30 year old game ensuring that nobody can experience them.

private companies can now dictate what you are allowed to access in utilities

Neato, truly living in the dystopian future.

Turns out I don't give a shit what Sony has to say about the law

conversely what would prosper?

nintendo w

Now

Put another "fell for it again" award on the stack, friendo.

The internet would be filled with less LatAms, Indians and SEAs so everything.

Basically any science or technology related field/business is filled with pirates. There would be a hilariously large amount of suffering for solving such a minor "problem"

I don't use a vpn
My ISP doesn't give a shit unless the company itself says something (they never do)

I paid twenty-five dollars for mine. It works prety well.

Ok so it's just a mission to slay the boogeymen under your bed

didn't facebook torrent over 80 TB of copurighted media?

I myself haven't pirated anything recently. I even bought the Oblivion Remaster. But at a certain point it's just retarded and impractical to adhere to a 100% "no piracy" rule, especially when it comes to stuff like emulation. There's a point where you're just harming yourself and acting like a fucking idiot for really no reason at all except for goodboy bootlicker points from Nintendo, who doesn't even know you fucking exist.

All of em.
No preservation means the companies wouldn't need to compete against their old offerings.

Concord would probably succeed in a pirateless world, because you would have no choice or comparison stick.

Also science would grind to a halt and you would die of super AIDS

turdies won't pay for a video game but they will pay for a shady VPN operating out of Israel or Eastern Europe that harvests and sells all their data to advertisers, corporations and governments

"Why mutts so stupid not like me?"

Trump voters deserve this

kek

You fucking faggots make light of everything and then act "surprised" when shit unironically gets worse, under no circumstances should you be sucking corporate cock, not even as a joke.

Net neutrality has nothing to do with this, brainlet

Good thing that there hasn't been anything made worth pirating in over a decade.

Concord would probably succeed in a pirateless world, because you would have no choice or comparison stick.

Probably true. At this point, I strongly support piracy because I believe there are a lot of "must-play" games that everyone should really be familiar with and not forget about. Being able to have a common understanding on games. No piracy means just swallowing whatever slop is shoved in their face that month.

That's the idea, I think they're competing with older games at this rate.

how would they even enforce this shit? literally any site can be used for piracy.

Nothingburger.

I do not want any single company to have the ability to turn off private internet for any reason.
Mainly because if I want to complain about it I'm going to complain about it on the internet. If I don't have access to the internet I'm going to come down to your physical office and they generally don't like that.
Take a step back Sony.

imagine actually spending $1,500 to play panzer dragoon saga.

It's something said by a brainlet lawyer, they don't know how to enforce it, they don't care.

It's something said by a brainlet lawyer, they don't know how to enforce it, they don't care.

probably will result in massive issues like hospitals getting cut off from the next because a patient was on a site that was perceived to be a pirate site, honestly It should be legal to sue someone who's lawsuit causes mass disruptions to society.

let brown people break the law 24/7

OH NO NONO, you cant break THOSE laws

i will 100% follow copyright when corporations 100% follow immigration laws. when every brown person is deported and every job is filled with a white person, then we can talk about the rights of corporations.

Nice job showing you're some zoomer faggot
the movie and music industry have been threatening this since the mid 2000s and all ISPs do is send a letter saying "we see you downloading poopoo_peepee_movie.mp4 please stop or we'll terminate your internet sub" but never follow through on it cause they'd rather retain you paying for internet.

every single emulator project more or less dies (assuming removal of all pirated software, actually dumping your own games for some systems is prohibitively expensive)

prices of shit condition old games skyrocket to insane levels since no one has ANY other way to play them

all games become subscription based per game no matter what, since there will be no way to play them illegally via piracy so they can do what they want

basically every single gamer born before 2000 dies because everyone pirated something or pirates a few things occasionally even if they're small

Theres more but you get the idea, piracy is necessary to keep the industry in check

probably will result in

Nothing, because it's just something a random faggot lawyer said. Their word isn't law. These same retards almost drove the music industry into the ground once before. More recently, these types of corpo-lawyer fags thought up the concept of putting arbitration clauses in every TOS so that no one could form a class action lawsuit against them. It didn't work out, and Google is currently being absolutely fucked because something like 69,000 people are taking them to arbitration, which Google has to pay for, and the courts are letting Google out of it (they've tried).

Internet is now a service, not a utility.
Private companies can blacklist you from a service, but utilities have to retain accessibility.
Put a quarter in your ass, bud, it's only gonna get worse.

Seriously it's fucking ridiculous. You would have to be Chris Chan autistic to abide by that

I swear their must be something going on with schools related to businesses and Law that is resulting in retards becoming lawyers and executives.

this isn't 2009 anon the only thing a vpns are worthwhile for is if you want to watch some streaming shit not in your region otherwise its like wearing a condom with holes poked in it

honestly Ithin Net neutrality has nothing to do with this, in fact would not effect how this is ruled other then who is shutting off your net.

Based trump, fuck piracy and """archivists"""
get a job

break the law

get rewarded for it

i have an internet connection so im entitled to every piece of media ever produced for free

if you dispute this you are le evil because I am stealing your products for conservation purposes and not because I want free stuff

Why are they like this?

LE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION OR SOMETHING (IGNORE THE FACT ITS MOSTLY MARVELSLOP PIRATED)

t. cuckold fetishist

I don't think VPNs can stop the ISP from shutting off your internet, because ISP's stuff is that router and/or modem, aka the physical stuff necessary for you to connect to the web. You legit cannot go around them through software.

NOOOOOOOOOOO YOU ARE REMOVING $120 FROM MY BANK ACCOUNT BY PIRATING THAT GAME AAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ISPs wont do this as they want money from customers.

the fact that they want to avoid the supreme court suggest that that their side of the suit would not hold up in the highest court.

709502657

making a copy of something is LITERALLY theft think of le heckin' megacorporinos!!!

Why are (You) like this?

seething :^)

that and it's cannot be enforced as their is a billions of piracy sites and sites like YouTube has a shit ton of pirate shit as well.

As much as they hate pirates, they still fuck over their paying customers more than anyone

this entire thread is just bot arguments with the word

honestly I suspect these companies keep going after pirates because they legit cannot comprehend that people hate their stuff and so they become conviced that "they must be pirating our stuff because it is so great, and not because our stuff completely sucks"

The stuff you download has to actually be flagged for DMCA too.

People think just because you download material off of the internet, the ISP has the right to DMCA you or cut your access off.

You could be downloading a copy of Linux and they'd still try to get over.

based.

brown hands wrote this

You wouldn't pirate something you didn't like though, its just a waste of time.

The only way this would actually work is if the corps that feel offended by piracy had the power to hit the switch, but they don't. The ISP corp that makes money off of your connection does and boy do they make a lot of money off of it. The average internet connection in America runs between 600 and 1,000 for yearly access with places like apartments paying for site-wide service. The only way they're going to flip the switch on you is if they were paid tens to hundreds of millions of dollars to do so at the media corp's behest.
Alternatively, if media corps push for legal action forcing the comm corp to turn it off because they say so, then that might be a work around. But currently, and very unlikely to ever happen, one company cannot force another to terminate service to a customer. This will result in comm corps giving warnings, then more warnings, and even more warnings, and by the time they flip the switch, it'd be years down the line only for them to flip it back on because they too like money.
What we're seeing now with C&Ds from comm corps is their half-assed way of dealing with DCMAs sent in from media corps that threaten legal action against the comm corp if the IP involved does not stop. But as comm corp only has an address attached to the IP address, doing anything more than sending a DCMA is impractical and excessively wasteful for all parties involved.
tl;dr: nothing happens.
Nut Neutrality just means shutting off your access is a private decision rather than the government's.

they know it would be detrimental to society.

they don't give a shit about that, they only care about the thousand-ish dollars they get out of you every year and don't want to lose that. And they know IP holders won't actually pull the trigger on a lawsuit, so they send the letter and that's that.

Piratechad here. None. I don't even engage in discussion of the games I pirate.

I want free shit. I can have free shit. So I take shit for free without paying. Simple as

Consumers of any media.

they don't give a shit about that, they only care about the thousand-ish dollars they get out of you every year and don't want to lose that.

True but also if they did that, it would get them sued by a lot of people, including the goverment.
didn't NN get reinstated by the last admin?

Why would any ISP comply with this though? They are also just greedy corporations who are at least getting money from a pirate. This is less money for them just to appease sony.

The entire computer tech sector would collapse overnight

Do you have any how many students in all kind of fields pirate study materials? How many artists get started with cracked version of their music/graphic/video software?

How I am supposed to play ancient PS2 games no one gives a fuck about anymore if piracy is outlawed?

Wait for a remake/rerelease that will never come out?

if it was going to happen, it would've happened already.

he doesnt already have a drive + backup dedicated entirely to roms for every game you'd ever want to play
