Fallout 4 is very flawed but still pretty decent game. I used to hate it but in recent years I've started to enjoy it. It definitely doesn't deserve to be a full game in the series but as spinoffs like Fallout Tactics it works quite well

Well first of all Shady Sands isn't in LA, in fact it isn't even close to it. So the shows explanation is that Shady Sands being nuked is why the NCR doesn't control the Boneyard anymore. Next, the Boneyard was a major economic hub and was the location of their central bank, so there would be various reason to want to reclaim the entire city of LA. Like the NCR isn't various settlements, it controlled the entire state of California and parts of Oregon and Mexico. It's not some small local confederation it's an actual nation. The show is basically doing the equivalent of Washington DC being nuked leads to NYC being abandoned by the US for some reason, but they don't abandon any other part of the US.

Rebuilding takes time, the entirety of the boneyard region looks like it clearly got worse and is no longer worth going after for a while, NCR isn't just Shady Sands and Boneyard, it's clear shit happened to everyone as NV itself is in ruins, the dam could likely be lost, the NCR was already having issues in NV. And again, the branch in the show seems disconnected and on a personal vendetta as their leader has a very intimate connection with the vault.

There's too many reasons to leave room for NCR being around in a weakened state. I don't think them being weak is worthless or a semantic. But I don't care much more at this point to continue on. A lot of it is ultimately pointless anyway because Fallout is effectively a dead series. The show and 76 expansions will most likely be the only thing in the series for the next two decades. Microsoft seems content with just not giving it to another studio and Bethesda sure as hell aren't finishing Fallout 5 by 2040(and this assumes they even make it Todd has said it might not even happen). The show will effectively be the end of the series legacy.

Franchises are built around recognizable elements, both narrative and visual. Some nostalgia isn't bad as long as they do introduce new ideas.

I think the thing I like the most about the original 2 Fallout games is how unorthodox they are, you dont get a lot of information about the world around you and its fun filling in the blanks for yourself, the games work much better when the player is in the dark much the same way a real Vault dweller would be completely in the dark about the wasteland, but all the new fallout games feel too familiar, and the tone has gotten much lighter

Trans Vegas was a mistake

FNV became too overrated. Like yeah, sure it's a great game, but cmon now you don't have to be an annoying faggot about it.
Transfags also claimed it as "their" game for some reason. Why? This is so stupid.

4 and 76's existence retroactively make Fallout 3 look worse. When F3 released, it had better roleplaying than Oblivion. To this day, it is the only Bethesda game to have all three sets of skills/attributes/perks in a traditional XP gain/levelup system. All of the problems of the game could be attributed to it being the first in what was essentially a new chapter of the series. NV came along and then assured us that maybe Bethesda was interested in making their games more complex, even if NV was an Obsidian game.

Then FO4 came around, said fuck you to NV fans, fuck you to 3 fans, and tried to chase the Skyrim/Mass Effect fanbase while gutting everything that made 3 and NV what they were. Now everyone who looks back on Fallout 3 will only see a dumbed down game, not something that could've been the beginning of something genuinely good.

The issue is that there is a constant battle some sperg is having on here to say why 3 is better that he has been doing for years.
