Doubt it. I think there's some Merit that Gustave and Sophie were influenced by Simon and painted Clea. Aline met Simon and sent him to fight Renoir, but Simon and painted Clea both ultimately got fucked by real Clea. Simon's journal says he hopes they can be together in the next life. Then we have Sophie with the same face as Clea, and Gustave with the same missing left arm.

Wait, you got filtered by the first optional boss that has literally 2-3 attacks? I made a webm of the whole fight when I started the game (too big for Anon Babble, of course), where I happened to beat him without getting hit, even got an achievement for that. Because he's easy, if you just try 3-4 times to get a hang of his attacks.

I, like many others, have developed a deep skepticism for the game due to the unbelievable amount of narrative driven hype. Any moderatly intelligent person despises narratives, and distrusts hype. But both together? Arguably the most blasphemous combination possible to art.
But then I see responses like yours, and it elicits a familar experience to the way in which people talk about TLOU and TLOU2. And it triggers that part of my mind where i know 1000% for a fact that I understand both games, and could write a thoroughly indepth dissertation about the games that could not be argued with or against by the average retard, and therefore they would have no choice but to "colour" my analysis with a flurry of negatively coloured words. "Awful", "Terrible", "Boring", "Disgusting", "Poor" etc. Rather than actually remotely engage with any contention to what they preconceively believe.
And unfortunately, despite my apprehension. Knowing that games like TLOU are genuinely exceptional. I have to distrust both sides.
The only difference I have to hold onto my skepticism, is that TLOU2 is not nearly, and was not nearly as positively received widespread, or narrativized. But TLOU is and was, so theres that.

Did I overlevel or something? Start of act 2, I went around doing optional encounters like the chromatic jar and whatnot. I go to the forgotten battlefield at around level 30, everyone goes down in one round or two, dualiste went down like a mega bitch and I almost always hit him with a multi hit 9999 attack via Verso or Maelle, barely even got to see the fight.

It's easy to overlevel in this game if you do all the optional stuff/don't skip packs.
