unfortunately I believe the answer is free to play sloppa. the issue with the genre moving online is lack of players, especially lower skilled ones. new players don't want to lose 60 times in a row when they're learning. Absolutely no touch of death combos, and probably a lower ceiling on mechanical input skills, which probably requires some sort of mechanic to limit combo length
