The zombie gore is actually some pretty great tech. Gameplay isn't as fun or fluid as Dying Light but the fact that a game with a development as fucked up as Dead Island 2 turned out to be a solid 7/10 is nothing short a miracle
Now we just need a steamie to pretend the game isn't shit when they paid $20 for it on sale. (Check Steamdb, it's the lowest price it's gone for)

I enjoyed the game, played through all of it plus Haus and SOLA solo. The card thing was a bit whack and took getting used to, I used Ryan (because he's a white male) and I enjoyed enough of his lines.
The combat was fun, the weapon customization was pretty nice but once you discover your "combination" you pretty much stick with it.
Compared to the first one, the characters were better in the first, but I love the gramphix and gore in the second. The story is entirely forgettable in the second, barely paid a fucken lick of attention to it. You encounter some new and interesting zombies.
I wish I had picked up a copy for my brothers for all of us to play when I did. That said, I don't think I'd particularly enjoy a full second run and I can't remember if there's save sharing between the gamepass version and steam version. Maybe if so I'd do it just to run it all with them with my one character.
In summation, solid 7/10 game

I kinda hate dead island 2 changing the twist of 1 with immunity. It was kinda interesting that people with O- blood are just immune for having the rarest bloodtype, and now it's just fantasy bullshit of "u gotta kill ur inner zombie.....to become numan!" Lame stuff.
