Try Ghost of Tsushima if you like open worlds. I played it for 40+ hours and I don't regret it.
Helldiver 2 is PvE shooter and surprisingly the community is welcoming on new players. I played it like 6 months after launch and people in game even gave me secondary weapons and backpacks to try on and carried me the few days to unlock the first banner. There are banners you can buy at the store but you can unlock them by collecting credits in game for playing.
Astrobot is a fun super mario game with cool mechanics and puzzles. You might enjoy it a bit more if you know the sony old franchises.

It definitely is. They were told to shit out a Unity demake in 18 months with 0 creative freedom. The remake should have been done in-house, it should have adapted Platinum's content, expanded on previous the Battle Frontier with exploration-based facilities like Emerald had, updated the character designs and added post-gen4 pokemon like all of the other remakes did, properly reorchestrated the BGMs like the other remakes did, chosen literally any other art direction than the weird 3D funko pop they went with, etc.

Instead we got an boring tech demo where you do nothing but catch the same you've seen for 20 years, the combat is fucking horrendous, the maps are somehow the ugliest in any game I've played and empty as hell barely resembling the region its essentially demaking which was full of towns, dungeons, side areas, battle facilities, contests, etc.
