Why are modern devs like this?

Why are modern devs like this?

Faggot suits and CEOs/shareholders thinking they can use this to push their dogshit agendas for games is insulting. This game isnt getting shit on due to the lack of PVE, fucking faggot ass boomer subhumans.

Bungie oldfag here.
They never listened unless there's a deadline.

This is the most soulless piece of dogshit game I've seen in a while
Look at the fucker on the left, it looks like a bunch of legos

executives are retards that will ruin a company and then move on to the next company to ruin them as well

news at 11

become the troon, die by the troon

Live by the dilator, die by the dilator

Is there a single good thing a C-Suite executive has ever contributed to gaming?

Too many cooks being overlooked by too many HR employees.

Games as a live service
Baaz

Do you think an extraction shooter ever had a chance to become a massive hit like Destiny, even with PvE?

Just imagine trying to work for one of these awful companies. Could you imagine being a white guy there in like 2021 lol. Just brutal. Totally ruined by women

management cuts staff by 30-60%

management fires pajeet consultants to replace them

management forces studio to chase dumb trend

management rushes piece of shit cash grab out the door

WHY ARE DEVS LIKE THIS

Jeets handle 3D modeling and programming

Cucked white guys handle game design

Roasties handle the writing and story to give it that feminist/anti-racist edge

diversity hires mill about and add some random clutter to the levels

Games in 2025

The industry started it's slow descent to death when share holders meant more than the actual fucking fans/ consumers
When "new markets" were prioritized almost entirely over existing markets, taking them for granted
And the introduction of shit like loot crates and subscriptions

A dedicated Lego shooter would unironically be better than this trash

The only silver lining is that this game is going to absolutely dwarf Concord by how much of a failure it is and I can't wait for the memes.

If it was just another mode in a larger game, sure. It would probably be about as popular as Gambit was in Destiny, though.

Bungie's? No.
But the whole game is one pathetic and far too late response to Tarkov so it's not like Extraction Shooters can't work. But they struck when the iron was freezing cold and paraded around the corpse of an IP newcomers don't kow or care about and the cult fans that do care are pissed off.

Clueless suits who don't give a fuck

Crunch forcing all the actual engineers and talent out, replacing them with H-1B visa tards who maybe finished some UE5 tutorials if you are lucky

Mentally ill overpaid activists doing nothing of value but dragging the whole team down in retarded Commiefornia corpo culture

Bloated budgets incentivizing extremely risk averse trend chasing bland slop.

What's wrong with modern AAA slop 101.

It depends on how much of the buyout money we place on this failure. Paying 4 billion for bungie just to flop everything they release afterwards is funny, but I feel like they also made money on some of their other stuff.
Meanwhile with Concord Sony spent $200+ million solely for the studio and Concord, and the dev studio itself spent another $200 million. So that's $400+ million on a single catastrophic flop with zero money earned. Concord is a lot simpler to find the exact money waste.

Saddest part is the game would've likely done well if they just did a geniune remake/reboot of Marathon.

It begins

Employees throwing the CEO under the bus after they were found out to be stealing art assets from people

LMAO

Art theft thing happened at least four times by now.
You are a moron if you think the management doesn't play a role in it.

Do you think an extraction shooter ever had a chance to become a massive hit like Destiny, even with PvE?

Well, I can say I'd have been interested enough to keep an eye on development. The idea of ducking into a dangerous area and playing risk/reward with loot and trying to escape sounds like a decent arcade like experience. But when you base it on online multiplayer then I'm absolutely not interested because even if I'm not being sniped through walls by russian cheaters, I have not the patience to stay on top of a game's "meta" in order to not pull negative results for an entire evening while sweaty try-hards suck all the fun out of it.

I'd say market trends are pretty clear that gamers want more single player and PvE games. Yet AAA devs seem to refuse to acknowledge this and continue to pump out PvP slop. Why is this?

Figure a way to shove similar amount of MTX slop into PVE and I am sure they would listen to you.

Yep, a team of based and red-pilled game devs are gonna swoop in any moment now and dominate the market.

The destruction and corruption of Ace of Spades is proof that will never happen.

it's now delisted

you faggots were so annoying with the Ace Of Spades threads that I'm glad it got the end that it did.

These type of games (Tarkov especially) are for masochists or people who are so deeply medicated that they don't notice the incredible frustration.
Tarkov as single player kind of works but the more you play the more obvious it is how broken the game is and how fucking bad even the interface is. There's so much inventory management which has zero QoL features like switching tabs via Q/E keys (you need to click multiple tabs and when you switch a tab and return to other screen, it will reset its previous status etc) and I could go on.
It's a game made by retards for retards. I'm willing to speculate most of the 'streamers' are probably cheating one way or other too.

Rules are simple: no SMGs, no custom maps. Go find games on reddit if that's your thing.

Were you under a rock when a small French team who actually cares about gaming humiliated all the big slop factories recently?

No unless it was released like 5 years ago.

Games aren't made with creativity and ambitions in mind.

Games are made with spreadsheets and trends in mind.

Games aren't made for the love of a genre and giving players an experience

Games are made to force every dollar possible out of players

Games aren't made to leave you thinking about a sequel

Games are made with a 6 month battle pass in mind

I hate using the word "soul" but when big business is making games it's just a cash grab

The Division had it and it was a popular mode

multi player battle royals are 2018
2025-2030 is all about single player RPGs

Nobody wants to be told the word "No".

Retvrn gaming as the domain of autists.

They barely listened to deadlines either

There's no reason you couldn't be jew with a coop pve
