Last time I heard, a lot of anons were pestering him about adding more harem/gay shit to the game and then he snapped. Said his original vision was to make a horror game, but didn't know if people would like his schizo ideas so he added some anime filler to pad it out.
Now it seems he's going off the rails and I'm fucking hyped because the horrors segments in the game were really good.
I never knew he didn't actually want the animayshit in the game. I got into it for the horror as well. I just hope the end result is as earnest and unfiltered as he can legally make it.

I don't remember a lot of anons asking for that stuff but there's always been that divide between what the dev said and what he released. I'm glad he's actually focusing on the horror part either way.
I talked to him on twitter and he confirmed that his previous two games were only horror games and that he wanted to try something different. After seeing what that "different" thing is he retuned to his roots and continues his original vision of the game he makes. Really down to earth guy, but a bit weird a times as well.
Pretty sure he wrote somewhere that he remade some art and made it more horror.
