artytitle.png - 1199x889, 573.57K

He's Artorias. He's at the bottom of the Abyss and he wields the Moonlight Greatsword and only has 1 arm

LITERALLY Zanzibart

He is the designated From Software reference boss

wife's womb turned into a designated monster factory

I'd be pissed too

Is there an ultima weapon equivalent in this game

We want the Berserk audience

did they really have to make him more punishing than any fromsoftware boss too?

Cleazibart...

No, there is no "Ultima Weapon" type thing. You get a weapon from this boss, but even that's not "Ultima Weapon" type deal.

Like, Maelle's best weapon you can get in Act I pretty much right after getting Maelle. Lune's best weapon comes pretty early too. Generally everyone's best weapons are the ones that enable their personal gimmick to be at maximum at the start of battle (Virtuose Stance, S Rank, Almighty Mask, etc) and these are all obtainable before the end of the game. I think Verso's or Monoco's are the last obtainable ones.

but it's "debatable" I guess which weapons are even the best ones. Like, you could build a character differently, like if you use Verso as a buffslut instead of as a damage dealer, his best sword becomes the one that splits his S Rank damage bonus amongst the party.

No, the superboss drops a weapon but it's not really the best.

Also, there is a secret weapon for each character a literal Baguette that uses the Void element, but even *that* weapon is not really the best. In my opinion, that weapon just saves you Picto/Lumina slots for if you want to beat the game by exploding yourself at the beginning of combat.

Miscellaneous Nevrons are so fortunate...

ywn be created and discarded by Clea

It never even began

PEINS L'AMOUR, PEINS LA VIE, PLEURER EN COULEUR
SUR LA TOILE, NOTRE AMOUR DEMEURE, JE T'AIME

how much extra setup do i need for the post-game super bosses? or can i just go in with whatever team i've been running?

or can i just go in with whatever team i've been running?

This, you can fall in the trap of too much setup and two-shot them and miss all the fun, because damage buffs stack without a cap or diminishing returns.

You're not gonna kill Simon without cheese unless you spend 10 hours fighting him.

For best results you want to be doing millions of damage per turn on most bosses and like 8-10 million per turn for Simon
or just stop holding back and onetap everything, what's stopping you?

THIS IS THE POWER OF ME RUNNING ON THE SWITCH 2

It really shouldn't take 10 hours learning Simon unless your damage is really bad. That said it's unfortunate that the easiest way to learn Simon is in NG+ using the weapon you get from Simon against him.
Since you can enter phase 3 with Verso instantly being immortal and no matter how hard you fail dodging/parrying at that point, you literally can't die because of the lv20 Lumina effect. Giving you infinite opportunities to learn his moveset at his extreme.

I can't parry this. I've gotten to this phase over a dozen times over the course of 15~ hours spread out a week and I always fail near the end of the string. feels bad.

I still died to his lightspeed wahtever attack. After a few hours I just rearranged some lumina and one-shot him with Maelle and moved on.

for all bosses except simon you can go with your regular team and beat them in a couple/few tries
the only one gimmicky is the flying serpent the rest are just learning patterns
Simon has a gimmick that will 100% kill you the first time it happens and will make you have to rethink your strategy. He is also the hardest boss in the game by a country mile in dmg hp and attack patterns.
