This is the best controller

This is the best controller.

Wrong picture

Agreed.
My 2+year old one has seen enough use to have the rubber sticks getting smooth, but still precise enough to use as a desktop mouse with no drift.
Clean your fucking hands, you mongoloids.

Let me guess, you need more?

s-l1200.png - 1200x1024, 1.28M

unfortunately

I've been considering buying one for Melee but I'm not to the point of dropping $60 on that level of autism

but what about a PS5

I will buy a PS5 in 2030

I do, actually

I got a blitz2, lets see if the 2000hz polling rate is a meme or not

DO NOT REDEEM

lmao at cheating underage scum

I like using it with Dolphin because you can have it simulate the GameCube controller's trigger clicks

Still can't aim.

stick drifts your direction

nothing personnel kiddo

I don't have a PS5 but I'm considering getting one so I can play fewer games.

Anyways, what brand controllers are have good Hall Effect sticks?

thanks doc

I just bought the cheapest 8bitdo and it's great, you don't need expensive gayming controllers.

more like cunt roller

Need sticks and a second set of shoulders in this day and age

This thing has joke battery life. It's dead after 2 days.

Only if you mod it with back buttons and hall effect sticks

How fucking long are you gaming for that you need 48 hours worth of battery? Just charge it after your game session you fucking retard, is that so hard? You do it with your phone every fucking day.

8shitdo

I wouldn't know, I simply keep it plugged in with a long USB cable

think my cousin has this from our like Great Great Great Great(?) Granddad, arent they kinda blueish in color?

Say it with your whole chest, Anon. What you really mean. The 8bitdo nickname that's an auto-warn for being spammed

let's all be serious for a moment: is the DualSense strictly better than the DS4?

I redeemed it.

Are you for fucking real, the fagministration has made shitting on the crap chink controller knock offs an autowarn?

DS4 is more comfortable

It has a better anniversary PS1 color-scheme but otherwise no. The battery life is worse and the haptic feedback shoulders are just annoying. Its main benefit is being USB-C instead of miniUSB, but that's still something you can fix on the DS4.
No, one specific catchphrase name for the company was added to the spam filter.

That's no excuse. The old ones lasted twice as long. Shit is supposed to improve

Both are shit as they suffer from stick drift.

I came from a Wii U Pro controller that lasted like a whole month before needing to charge. I only play like 3-4 hours tops. So like 6-8 hours of actual use before it's dead.

Wireless gives me better latency than wired. I know you can overclock the polling rate though but I'm too lazy.

I will say, I used to be an xbox controllerfag, but I got a Dualsense for the motion controls and I like how quiet it is. Why is the xbox controller so fucking loud when pressing buttons?

found the guy with the baby hands

If you have normal hands, the Dualsense is more comfortable

I have to turn up the track pad sensitivity to about 300% in the Steam settings to make it function similar to the DS4. It is a really annoying extra step when setting up the controller for each game. It also won't charge from my PC, so that is another issue. I would generally prefer to just keep using my DS4 to avoid the extra steps if it weren't starting to have usb issues.

Size and shape are more comfortable, and the touchpad shape is more convenient to reach from the buttons or d-pad with my thumbs. I've never used the other features so they're basically the same to me otherwise.

extremely heavy

awful stick thumbs with shit grip

shitty dpad which can give you diagonals when you press left or right

no hall effect sticks so guaranteed to drift at some point

Honestly, DS4 is better in every way aside very flimsy mini-USB connector.

It is Chinese althoughbeit.

Not with that dpad

heard how awesome 360 pads were

got series X pad

it's fucking shit

Why can't they make quality products anymore?

button symbols don't match when I emulate PS games

Worthless.

I feel like stick drift is a huge meme. 30 years and the only time I ever had it was on the Vita, and that was easily resolved by opening it up and giving it a good clean. Maybe I'm just lucky, or not retarded. Who knows.

well I've never been murdered so I guess murder is a big meme

your just weak bro, what you can't hold 0.61 lbs while gaming?

i've been murdered once and it wasn't really a big deal

White/Gold doesn’t look right.

this thing was amazing. I went through so many SNES controllers but this thing just lived forever despite my brother and i being stupid kids who broke most our stuff.

It's just uncomfortable compared to lighter pads, that's it. Sure I can hold it but why when I can hold light DS4 instead?
Actually, I liked DS3 pad the most when I think about it. But now it's pretty much impossible to find in good condition.

Does the d-pad vary wildly between models or something? I have a harder time getting even intentional diagonals on a launch Dualsense than I have with any mechanical third party d-pad.

I had two 8bitdos get it within months, one 8bitdo get it after three years, and one Dualsense after four years. Cleaning didn't work for any of them.

The real truth is that all controllers are basically the same aside from battery life and the quality of their d-pads. sadly nobody has made a good d-pad in over a decade

modern dualshock

best

No

Perfection for no 3d games.

for me it's snpropad

sadly nobody has made a good d-pad in over a decade

Well, which controllers had good d-pads?

Does the d-pad vary wildly between models or something?

No. I tested four different DualSense controllers, three from first revision (white and black) and one from updated with stronger spring (purple, the one I own now). All had same issue, if you press left with applying force to the upper edge of the button it'll give you diagonal instead because d-pad isn't actually separate. It often gives me diagonals when I don't want.
I have no idea how they fucked it up, DS3 and DS4 didn't have this issue.

I just don't understand the asymmetric sticks thing. I don't. In what games does it actually make sense to keep your thumb on the face buttons rather than the right stick by default, other than 2D ones where you're moving with the dpad anyway? This feels like some relic of the 1-sticked N64 controller and the 1.5-sticked Game Cube controller, like there's this lingering perception that somehow camera control is a secondary rather than primary input.

qquuee.jpg - 951x840, 90.47K

It's great for everything that doesn't use the d-pad though. Only real flaws were the dpad, stick rubber quality and Bumpers design flaw. Otherwise; it's the golden standard for controllers past gen 7

SNES, Saturn, PS1 (no, there's nothing wrong with the sectioned d-pad back then), DSlite but it stops working after some use sadly, DSi vanilla seems to cover lite's flaw.

my hori fighting commander 4 has a pretty good one, although i hate the way the grips on the controller are structured.

i don't think it's uncomfortable at all, its way more comfortable than a ds4 because it actually fits your hand and lets you fully grip it, and you have to be joking or are blinded by nostalgia with the ds3 bullshit, i have one right now and it's one of the most uncomfortable controllers if you have normal hands all your fingers are crammed together and half of them are basically grabbing air, also the sticks are a joke you have literally 0 grip on them.

Perfection

37489234.jpg - 500x500, 24.06K

Is it lighter than switch 1 pro? That would be a downside for me.

if they fixed the d-pad it might be.

It’s not even out yet, to say it’s the best is a baseless claim. And if nintendo’s reputation is anything to go buy you’ll be going through dozens of them thanks to stick drift
It’s actually slightly smaller than the switch pro controller

Stick above the dpad

No battery access

It's shit

Wii U Pro controller was perfection. They've been regressing ever since.

Well, I just once had to live in a countryside for few years without PC and only entertainment I had was hacked PS3 so yeah, I spent A LOT of time playing all kind of PS3 games and got really used to DS3 pad so maybe I'm biased here. Though, I still dislike DualSense quite a lot.
The probelm, there're no good controller right now, all of them have different flaws. I got chinese KingKong Pro with hall effect sticks which NEVER DRIFT and yeah, the sensors won't drift but the actual physical sticks just started to get stuck in one direction giving me drift anyway.

Yes, although purple is not to my taste.

It has an inferior d-pad. Fix that and I'd make it my main.

Built-in turbo for auto button mashing

All controllers should have this and I don't know why they don't. Not every person wants to destroy the tendons in their forearms when a game demands it.

Fuck the d-pad, other than that it's alright.

Yes I vastly prefer it (but I’ve had two drift already compared to only 1 ruined ds4 in the same time frame)

It’s actually slightly smaller than the switch pro controller

advocating for chinkshit features

maybe because nobody wants extra retarded buttons on their controllers that are basically autoplay cheating out.

The steam deck is the best since it has the ABXY buttons on the back where your fingers hold the grip which is a total gamechanger, I will say that the thumb sticks could be better and you should get or make some grips for them. Wish talongrips used the same kind of sandpaper like material for the deck/ally as they made for my Glock.
Gonna get a rog and mod it to have more RAM, better buttons and have the case painted camo, its still a tragedy that it only has 2 back buttons instead of 4. Maybe I might go to a laser cutter and have him make some custom grips for the rog out of a sheet of light grit sandpaper.

8bitdo ultimate wired C. Cost me 30 leafbucks, i was hesitant because I've only used first party controller and it's better then any controller I've owned.

what's shit about it? i wanted to buy one

Today on reverse day Anon Babble

Unresponsive buttons. Unless you press the button with full force you might just not get the input. Like, when I played Halo and tried to jump with a middle of my thumb I got the press, I hear the "click" but no input since the press was not hard enough and PCB design is complete shit so there's no contact. It's a well known issue even officially aknowledged by MS but a lot of the owners will tell you that their pad just works which is a lie since this design flaw is fundamental. However, depending on how you used to press buttons you might not notice it too much.
Also, the LBRB buttons are really flimsy and gave the impression that they'll break in few months. Dpad is very questionable. Really awesome stick thumbs tho, the most comfortable I ever used.

i like the controller. the haptics sounded cool but they end up being annoying.

Same but the Wireless 2C for 30 USD. I was using my DS4 but the sticks are fucking drifting and the bluetooth kept fucking up. Also the micro-usb port kept disconnecting. I haven't used the 2C yet but I hope it lasts me for years otherwise I'll shit on hall effect/chink controller fags for shilling it for so long.

he fell for the 8bitdo meme

I have no personal experience with the hall effect modules their newer controllers use, but I'm three for three on having at least one button membrane tear and 8bitdo's the only brand I've had that happen with so far. I've still seen reviews complaining about it so I doubt they've changed anything. That's an effortless $1 repair and aftermarket rubbers are less stiff/brittle, at least.

My 2+year old one has seen enough use to have the rubber sticks getting smooth, but still precise enough to use as a desktop mouse with no drift.

Is that possible?

one tap and this thing will shatter like glass

play on pc with this

no diagonals on the sticks

what causes this phenomenon?

looks good enough to operate a submarine

the A button sticks really bad.
The old logitech controllers were good, but they turned into absolute shit when they started using these gay Xbox face buttons.
