The only long "essay" I've watched was the Noah Caldwell-Gervais fallout travel vlogs

Why do you wanna know the name of this little girl anon??

MOOOOOOOOODS

This is just true in general. I don't have the patience for movies anymore, since I know they're just trying to slow-burn me into seeing their point of view on something. I'd rather they just skip the subversion and tell me directly what they believe and why. I don't have time for all this bullshit.

Zoomers are so brainrotted that they would rather see someone talk about a video game for 3 hours and never play it instead of just playing the game themselves and drawing their own conclusions.

Roblox Oof. Not vidya but Jenny Nicholson’s Evermore video.

drawing their own conclusions.

simply impossible, that's why they invented youtubers

A drawing of what?

90 minute movies have 0% benefits
3 hour essays and lectures (played at 3x speed) may have at least 10% usable information

I like essays because I'm only half paying attention to them as I fall asleep
Whereas with movies I'm far more invested and want to watch the whole thing through from start to finish without pauses or distractions
They fit different situations

Anyways, I've been watching Action Button doing LA Noire lately. I'm like a quarter of the way through that video by now.

What's her name

Why do you want to know pedo?

why would i ever watch a video essay

Go outside.

I'm just trying to sle-

You are literally not doing anything with yourself if you aren't already tired by the time its time for bed.

Go outside.

No

You are literally not doing anything with yourself

I'm enjoying my limited time on Earth to the best of my ability

It's really not rocket science.
Most people are not sitting at their computer when on the internet, they are on their phone.
Most people have shit to do.
Watching movies requires a decent amount of engagement to get anything out of the experience.
With a video essay you can be listening from the other room and still be getting 90% of the experience.

Video essays are background media that helps maintain focus when cooking, cleaning, painting, doing dishes, etc.

based

I have 8k hours in Dota and pity niggers who think it's wasted time

Dota

yikers

video game essays are one of the most awful things on youtube internet. Some absolute plagiarist faggot waxing poetic about something that has been covered 100 times by smarter people. Dreadful.

You could've spent those 8k hours playing a good game instead, so yes you did waste your time

Essay? More like: it's gay!

she's clothed calm down

I always thought video game essays being more like serving confirmation bias than giving any new information. Like the comment section is filled with people who have obviously played the game before

Pokemon hackroms though...

I mean if it's a shit game like Martian Gothic or an Adventure game with moon logic gameplay yeah

Having fun is never time wasted

This guy's videos, and when he stopped I stopped watching "content creators" entirely.

krogan.jpg - 400x400, 52.44K

I enjoyed it throughout. When I stop enjoying it I just dump 1k hours into Factorio or something.

Parasite Eve

I'm closer to 40 than 20. I can't watch movies or TV shows anymore. Too boring, but I love a good 3+ hour fallout 2 video.

do not repost

reposts anyways

I use videos like that as background noise for when I'm wiping after a dump.

As a zoomer, i've never seen anyone talk about watching long essays of games they haven't played. I only watch 1+ hour long essays of games i've finished and short AVGN-tier reviews of the ones i haven't, assuming said unplayed game looks interesting to me. Watching the first episode of a let's play is also a good way to tell if i want to play a game or not

not opening that shit

drakengard 1
i am not playing that fucking game ill have someone whos into suffering through dogshit gameplay to do the work for me

I can only really watch really long stuff about shit I don't care about if it's from a few people. Most of those long form essays have shit narration or writing or just do their play by play of playing a game. I just zone out of that shit.

Watching the first episode of a let's play

Pro tip: search "longplay" instead and you won't have to listen to some nasal faggot talk over the game. Best way to get a quick idea of what the game is like.

I watch let's plays for the nasal faggots though, at least the ones i follow and find funny. If i'm not doing that, i just google pics of the game or ask for Anon Babble's opinion

Fair enough, I haven't watched a Let's Play since about 2015 when they all became "professionals". Googling pics is just going to give you cherry-picked bullshots and Anon Babble doesn't play games so their opinion is worthless. Skimming through a longplay is the best way to get an impression of what some average gameplay looks like.

3 hr long videos

Yeah

on video games

No

3 hr long videos on ghost stories and paranormal events that aren't just some guy reading a bunch of fake reddit stories or someone talking about true crime

Yeah

for me it's ~1 hour challenge playthrough that are basically the creator saying fuck in increasingly more creative ways.

what the hell are you expecting? it's just a goddamn archive search link

I dont do this you dumb tranny

Reminder she's legal now

"THE MOST DISTURBING AND DARK REDDIT POSTS"

90% of them are just stories about some random girl being stalked by a mentally ill sperg

dogshit tranny thread

"SCARIEST INNAWOODS Anon Babble GREENTEXTS"

the same fleshgait story told in different ways a dozen times over

"DARK INTERNET MYSTERIES PART (number)"

somehow it always comes back to true crime or is shit everyone already knows about
