play project zomboid
Play project zomboid
Is it abandonware yet?
No thanks, I prefer Stardew Valley
*walks around you* Nothin personnel zomboid...
42 is soulless
41 is soul
I will once we get b42 stable.
The only reason to even care about this shitty shovelware is multiplayer.
41 is soulless
40 is soul
The tracking in this game is insane
It's a fun murder doll dress-up game
Funny you should mention Zomboid, since I actually started playing it again. Not b42, but still.
One thing I hadn't tried yet was cars -- I thought they'd be loud as shit and attract every zombie in a hundred-mile radius, but it turns out they're actually quiet. And life on the road's pretty comfy. Like this cool cabin.
Random cabin in the woods. Home.
Once build 42 hit stable and my fav mods update, i will.
I will once they finish their game.
I am waiting for multiplayer so I can play with my best friend (but he won't play with me anyway because I've been replaced by his gf)
You should become his GF.
Why not play virtually any other zombie openworldsurvivalcrafting game? State of Decay, 7 Days To Die, Dying Light, even some fucking Fort Zombie would be better.
This is just Cataclysm Bright Nights in 3D with 5% the content.
Zomboid is kind of comfy, I don't even like zombie survival games
I don't like first person slop.
State of Decay
Horrible dialogue, mobile game tier base building, doesn't scratch the itch.
7 Days To Die
Awful graphics, janky UE slop, terrible game feel, doesn't scratch the itch.
Dying Light
Not even remotely the same type of game, doesn't scratch the itch.
Fort Zombie
Never heard of it, looks kinda bad but cool at the same time. Ill check it out
doesn't scratch the itch.
what itch? a badly unfinished game with shitty combat and shallow mechanics?
Vanilla 7 days to die is shit compared to the overhaul mods that turn the game into what it should have been. Except Rebirth, that one is overrated dogshit. Have you tried Cataclysm: Dark days ahead?
5%
you are being generous
Any decent sex mods, like fucking female zombies?
Friend group decides to play project zomboid, rent a server and mod it
Starts out really fun, we keep dying and making new characters learning the game, playing a few times every week
One friend gets super into the game and plays alone every day
Learns everything, builds a mansion base, clears out an entire town of zombies, fixes multiple cars and collects hundreds of guns and ammo
Game is no longer fun because whenever we log in we already have everything
I promise I will play it in like 7 years when it's finished
State of Decay, 7 Days To Die, Dying Light,
all of them have player have homing beacon in the ass that transpit it location to zombies
Fuck that shit.
>all of them have player have homing beacon in the ass that transpit it location to zombies
can't play week one mod permanently
no thanks I'll pass
shit "muh realism" virus lore so no special infected
retardfag devs so no NPCs ever
mechanically bereft on a fundamental level so even making every zombie a sprinter only makes the tedium more difficult and doesn't actually improve the consistent rising boredom level and pointlessness built into the game
redditor fanbase so not enough buzz or criticism will ever be generated to spur any change to the last 3 issues
this garbage game is doomed - it has been in a doomed state for years and years and years
I'll wait for NPCs
Fort Zombie is great.
Immensely jank though.
You either get it or you don't.
Gimme the NPC update or fagoff
Love this game and it's made me tempted to attempt making my own game like it but in third person.
Imagine SCUM but with zomboid RPG mechanics
based, hope production goes well
Ill check it out
Don't, I was memeing. It's one of the very very very first (if not The first) 3D zombie survival games, you will not stand the jank.
Let me know when the game has skyscrapers, where I can completely block off entry points without them breaking down, high floors from which I can lower myself down to the ground level via ropes or other contraptions. Or just plain underground bunkers with doors that can't break down, and secret exits far away that let me go out to scavenge.
Why do people even want NPCs in a game with permadeath? Does getting sniped from behind and losing everything sound like fun?
doesn't scratch the itch
doesn't scratch the itch
doesn't scratch the itch
I need new/better/more
Anon, please. Your family and friends are worried about you. You need to kick this "habit".
As long as I get the NPCs right whatever money I put into it would easily come back 10 fold
zombie spawn out of nowhere
zombie know exactly where player is and go to him after spawn
Most dogshit mechanic imaginable.
You could have just said that instead of whatever the fuck spilled out of you with that other post
It's fun with rape mods. Too boring otherwise.
Post pantsu.
It's basically same what i said just in other words.
will get to play Escape From Tarkov 1.0, Squadron 42, Star Citizen 1.0, Deadlock, Half-Life 3 and much more before Zomboid even gets NPCs
I honestly don't know how to feel about that.
What's all this buzz over NPCs for? I understand they're a long-awaited feature, but I'd prefer to play the game as a 1-man survivor picking up the scraps of humanity in a world bereft of the living. Fuck having to drag NPC companions around or suffer the already janky combat against other survivors. If I wanted to interact with other humans while playing the game I'd play with my friends.
will have GTA6 online on PC with ROME released before zomboid with npcs
grim af
Sex with NPC.
lmao
nigger I got tired of 7 days to die ten years ago.
zomboid sort of has something like it.
its more like hordes gather and eventually pass through your area.
I just want SoD3 already, don't care how fucking niggerified woke it's going to be, just new maps would be fine.
You are retarded.
is there a mod that removes the retarded ''field of vision'' bullshit?
Found the seething ESL
Yes, you ARE upset about your inability to understand that original post. Thank you for admitting it.
Ok, post the pirate link so I can download it for free then
Forget that
Where's the mod where you breed the animals yourself
furfags will thrive in the zombie apocalypse due to their suspicious wealth and collective desire to fuck animals
I saw a post about retarded changes they're making in 42, things like massively extending the ability of zombies to track you so you can no longer break line of sight twice to lose them, and I am concerned. I am waiting for the crafting to be fleshed out to play zombie survivor Sims. Otherwise I'll have to play 41 and use the debug tile picker to assemble a home without any materials involved.
factions?
npcs?
no?
then fuck off
They're leaning HARD into muh realism to please the "durr this is how you dieded hurr" crowd.
Can't have zombie sims, can't have fun, enjoy grinding for days so you can craft a shitty stone knife that breaks in two hits.
I'd love more natural systems and then an overworld crude fluid dynamic system that allows for large hordes/migration waves. Maybe a large city goes down a few counties over that you vaguely hear about, and then a month later a wave shambles down the highway coming from that direction.
I hate B42's push towards crafting and wildlife survival shit. Blacksmithing, masonry, pottery, animal husbandry, fuck that noise. The game isn't set in 4000BC. PZ is a zombie apocalypse simulator first and foremost. The focus should be on urbex and scavenging, not mindlessly foraging and menuing for 5 minutes to craft an axe. I've wasted enough of my life managing inventories and watching green bars fill. I can understand players wanting to go for a self-sustaining, cabin innawoods run, but the survival/crafting mechanics already in place lend themselves to that sort of playstyle just fine. The only conceptually sound mechanic they've added so far is hunting because it's proactive and synergizes with trapping, and also has the potential to be fun. It's bad enough TIS is painfully slow at rolling out patches, but this sort of feature creep for additions that only serve to bloat the game and further incentivize EXP grinding demonstrates that they're hell-bent on taking this game in the complete opposite direction I was hoping it'd go.
B42 added basements and increased the floor limit of buildings from 8 to 32.
Learn to torrent, fag.
Just waiting for multiplayer so I can dive in with the boys.
Star Citizen will unironically release before Project Zomboid
Hell at this point, the PTU might hit 1.0 before Project Zomboid. It's been in development for over 13 years.
"Zombie sims" was obviously euphemistic, my dude. I intend to leave the house and do shit.
Not on this realistic zombie game.
You're supposed to stay home and what green bar fill up.
watch
stop being retarded at me
kinda sucks the devs are so shit because this game really is one-of-a-kind.
Blacksmithing, masonry, pottery
Thing is that's just making a complete system that includes stuff that you should want. Much the same as there being a carpentry skill so you can build walls.
PZ is one of the games that keeps filtering me every time I try to learn it
is animals in the game yet?
It takes time, once he earns her and her parents trust he'll reach out after the first sign of boredom.
play a EA scam
No, lol.
This game always bores me within 5-10 hours. Either I turn off zombie spawns and get rid of all zombies and there's not much of a reason to go out and kill more if I got an nice area or I keep them on and cleaning them out everyday just feels pointless
endgame still has no content after more than a decade
it still consists of holing up in a secure base and eating beans while reading books until you decide to finally kill your own character out of boredom
"JuSt InVeNt YoUr OwN oBjEcTiVeS bRo YoU gOtTa Be CrEaTiVe"
how about i just play Cataclysm or some shit you fucking retard, how about that?
this, literally just download Bright Nights for free.
Proper zombie migration is my main want. You don't have a constant chore of cleaning respawns but they still filter in from the surrounding areas.
can someone do a quick summary of what changed since 2018?
uhmm.....you see they added 3d models to stuff on the ground and uhmmm....basements....and a bunch of new green bars to watch fill up
I DONT LIKE HOW THE NEW MOODLES LOOK. I MISS THE OLD LOW RES DESIGNS.
open it up
make a new save
get past the first day
quit
dont touch it again for another year
the combat in this game is still boring and has nothing interesting, why can't i grab a chair and hit a zombie with it?
why can't i grab a chair and hit a zombie with it?
that would be too fun. sorry.
just saw mr beast playing zomboid
it looks exactly the same as it looks today
I mean, what's wrong with zomboid? Singleplayer is comfy, even if endgame is lacking without goals you set for yourself.
Multiplayer is great with friends and meeting new people and overcoming challenges
This game is incredibly boring.
It should dip more into arcade style and let you actually kill zombies.
The stealth is incredibly boring and unsatisfying, as is the combat.
The survival aspects are annoying, but the real kicker are the bloat RPG mechanics just sort of slapped in to pad out the playtime since there is no content.
You find a cool recipe or material, but wait, you didn't grind for 50 hours to use them yet!
By the way, that cool thing is actually only marginally better than the stuff you already started with. Wouldn't want you feeling marginally powerful or capable because you're supposed to die, remember?
Total dogshit game.
zomboid is proof that Anon Babble will hate on literally every game, even if they are good and full of soul
What challenges?
The only possible challenge is overcome day 1 and the rest of the time is simply existing.
There is nothing else out there.
they are good and full of soul
You find a cool recipe or material, but wait, you didn't grind for 50 hours to use them yet!
Or, worse, you grind 50 hours to craft shit and can't because a master craftsman wouldn't be able to figure out how to put sheet metal around a baseball bat
even if they are good and full of soul
so not project zomboid
the devs are some of the most incompetent in the industry, main dev is a lolcow, npcs never, game a buggy mess. it sucks.
Still think the biggest insult is the generator requiring a manual to use.
Just add fuel and plug it in!
If they wanted it to need a manual add some maintenance aspect to it like cars have, not for basic fucking use.
Fuck these retard devs.
They added a muscle soreness system, now your Lumberjack with 10 str and fit gets tired after swinging an axe four times so you need to take a 5 min irl break
They made the game even worse while adding nothing of value, somehow.
the average Anon Babble poster is absolutely filtered by roguelike control schemes and low quality graphics.
I like the both for different reasons
Any mods that add end game objectives? Like a quest that leads to an escape/cure but will still take at least a few in game months to complete? I feel like that's the most common complaint I hear about the game and one that my friend who I got to play with me also had. Why wouldn't the devs add even an optional quest in that gives players that option?
Update the fucking game to include MP so I can play with friends.
that's exactly what makes a game sovl
ascii doesn't even count as graphics. how are you too lazy to even make a basic tileset for your shit?
rogue and the like are also not fun and don't deserve to be associated with modern rpgs.
Ruined by being a roguelike instead of an rpg.
This is the dev's most egregious sin, because it's actually easy as fuck to implement and it would increase their player base tenfold. Every time I start a new game with my friend, we always end up getting bored due to a lack of an objective.
hurr surviving is the objective
Walking or driving around to collect food is boring as fuck, though.
so make your own base
Okay. I just made an impenetrable fortress and have enough food to survive for months. Then what? There's nothing to fucking do except finding food, ammo and fuel.
I can think of 10 main quest stories off the top of my head right now. It's really fucking easy; it's a zombie apocalypse game and it doesn't need to be complex.
Booting it up rn
This is pretty much why I like it. The same reason I have played fallout 4 so much, even though I think its fairly mediocre. I like having a moddable sandbox with a shit ton of guns and collectibles
fallout 4
That one was so much fun with certain mods that let you modify the world and place settlements wherever. And of course the sex mods.
