What am I in for?
Needing to have at least a 32gb RAM to run it properly.
The only good pathfinder game.
lots of boring encounters. get used to rtwp, the game is mind numbing with turn-based combat on. great characters though. spec the dwarf guy into necromancy and he becomes really op

Absolute kino ost and a fun adventure

The true Baldur's Gate successor
(Not a knock on BG3, which was a beautiful DA:O successor)
For the love of God don't bother with the city management shit.
you can skip it and play wrath of the righteous instead, its a slog
kingmaker could have been half the length that it is and it wouldnt lose anything
lol no
In fact, DAO is more of a BG successor than this game
Fuck off.
u mad
sovlfvl adventure, stressing events for your kingdom and basically the best game to be a lawful chad
Its good. Play it before wotr as it will be hard to go back to KM if you do Wrath first.
Yes, I am.
Owlcat is poop tier developer, they make nothing but shit, if you like the taste of shit then you will enjoy their games
Cuckoldry
prebuffing
soul
Build autism, tacked on kingdom management that feels like a slog, surprisingly bro companions like ekundayo
wotr is a bigger slog than kingmaker because of how the acts are structured, you don't really start the real game until you take Drezen, afterwards you get one good act, then the rest are mostly bad
kingmaker is more consistent and feels more open even though it has deadlines
you don't really start the real game until you take Drezen
Wrong
Is Call of the wild finished or not? I want something like worldcrawl for WOTR but for KM
Weird of you to ask that when Call of the Wild is finished while Worldcrawl was abandoned
a really long game that's only fun during its first third
a reasonably decent RPG buried under an absolute dogshit kingdom management sim (and the worst final dungeon in any RPG, ever)
Kingmaker
finish the main quest/conflict for the act
have to sit around pressing wait in your capital until the next act triggers
WOTR
finish the main quest for the act
just move to the next act
i mean my amount of features. world crawl even at current state changes EVERYTHING from new stuff to re balancing gay ass owlcat's bloated stat-blocks in monsters
Call is just 10 new classes and that's it. Enemies are same, loot is the same
Then no, nothing. Besides a mod that changes the AI to supposedly makes the enemy smarter I guess
that's only really true if you turned off kingdom management like a filthy casual
Boredom
If you turn it off then you wouldn't have to skip days retard, read before posting
That late-game part where you have two wait like two in-game years with nothing happening in-between
Tiefling Twin Sister sex.
What classic AP are they working on next?
None
They're done with PF.
Decent crpg that you will not finish.
Timer timer timers, hidden timers aaaaand timers
Why? And what is better.
Why does Valerie refuse to have your kids?
Sergey Eybog makes the best soundtrack
youtube.com
because it's really long, and there's a lot of really boring shit parts in between the good parts
WOTR and Rogue Trader are both better games even within Owlcat's portfolio, but they have their own problems.
Runs fine on 16. Are you perchance retarded?
Personally I like WOTR's companions better, but Kingmakers story is more enjoyable.
Still prefer 40k though.
I do think Kingmaker's story is better in a vacuum, but it's paced so insanely poorly through the gameplay that I still prefer WOTR's. Kingmaker deserved a much better developer.
problems like what? why do you insist on leaving your posts at a cliffhanger?
I will eventually finish ROTW and you're not going to stop me anon, it's the only CRPG that I'm currently playing
he's already on windows 16
embarrassing
having to pay 5 extra bucks to have a threesome with some tiefling bitches you meet in the tutorial
got it for free on Epic and uninstalled it after knowing you cant bang them, Linsy or the Barbarian chic (cant give two fucks about the fairy and the rest are utter shite)
Not listening to Sweeney's cocksuckers.
Just pirate it retard
almost forgot about the farmer
you also cant bang the undead girl either. why would you make an RPG with such shitty love interests?
well you asked about Kingmaker, didn't want to go off about other games
WOTR
the main problem is Act 5, there are several huge dungeons to do, and it drags down the pacing significantly. The urgency of the plot is hindered by the freedom to roam around finishing up companion quests. Also one of those dungeons is fucking awful. There is also a problem of inverse difficulty curve, which exists in Kingmaker, but is exacerbated in WOTR by Mythic powers.
RT
Blatantly unfinished. Acts 1 and 2 are excellent, but the game falls off a cliff in Act 3 with one of the worst gameplay experiences you'll ever have in an RPG, and Acts 4 and 5 are almost literally nothing. Balance is even worse than WOTR, you can sneeze and break the game even on the highest difficulty. The best part of the game, and probably the best thing Owlcat has ever made, is a DLC.
How can Valerie be so divinely hot bros?
The better pathfinder game of the two owcal released.
The story manages to remain like a real tabletop campaign with low to mid stakes for a long while which i appreciated. I enjoyed being a nobody carving a piece of the realm for me and my barbarian bestie.
You might want to check some build guides if you are not familiar with pathfinder, decide what kind of shit you want to play and then consult how would you build that fantasy.
Game is not without is problems, the time gate mechanic is a bit weirdly implemented and the barony event mini game ends up being damn boring.
I loved the game so i might be dickriding it too hard but if you like crpgs this is a damn fine one.
She looks like a man
surprises around every corner and stress
that's a man
Void Shadows? What makes it so good?
Waifutards will tell you that it's because you get a girl with no personality that does anything you tell her to, real connoisseurs will tell you that it's by far Owlcat's longest and highest quality DLC with a completely new plotline that seamlessly works with the main story.
Anon I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you're most likely gay.
timers are VASTLY exaggerated by people. either that or they actually play like complete morons and after every fight.
Her jaw needs to be at least four times bigger for her to look like Valerie.
Unrelated to Pathfinder, but Josh Sawyer from Obsidian bitched online about how it was impossible to balance encounters in Pillars of Eternity 1 because that's exactly what players would engage in. Do couple of fights, run outside and rest, repeat for the rest of the dungeon.
What am I in for?
A good game made by retards.
Beat me to it, I also really like the tavern music:
Just make it so that you don't need to rest
I want to have sex with Nenio
Nenio should be killed
Not into necrophilia, sorry
Why didn't we get this kind of kino music in Rogue Trader?
youtube.com
I could see it fitting into a Slaaneshi theme at least, or something.
literal reddit companion
Salad pussy
bro wants me to fuck this thing
Not my problem.
Explain or you're retarded
I bet fucking her pussy would be like fucking a moist cut open pickle.
Yeah. Her portrait doesn't do her justice, and she's still the best love interest in the game despite that.
Four conversations with Kanerah > literally everything about Nyrissa
Midnight Isles > Beneath the Stolen Lands
What am I in for?
Grease, Glitterdust, and Stinking Cloud (pair it with Delay poison communal for your party) are the best spells in the game. CC Spells are king, and damage oriented spells are a total meme outside of weird, chain lightning, hellfire ray, and sirocco
Vomit > Shit
Very interesting
Never liked any of the dlc's in Owlcat's pathfinder games
Preferred them to the main stories, no kingdom/crusade management, no annoying companions, can make whatever stupid party I want
You can make mercenaries from the get-go and leave the management on easiest difficulty
Kanerah is a money grubbing bitch and her sister is impossible to get to put out.
Nyrissa hooks you up with endless fey pussy, you cant beat that.
If Owlcat ever returns to Pathfinder I really desire something Hellknight centric. Best bros.
Four conversations with Kanerah > literally everything about Nyrissa
I disagree. Nyrissa's romance was really well done imo
The game had such a strange sense of urgency for like zero pay off for it, hated the timed shit, added nothing to the game but stress and tedium.
What timed shit????
Yes I dunked on Lantern King no I won't pull out when I cum inside Nyrissa.
Hidden timers locking you out of the best results.
A world where every common mook has 40 AC.
I only like Act 1 with the Stag King. Can't Owlcat make a whole adventure like that? I don't want super high stakes, I only want comfy low level adventuring.
All the kingdom management stuff. Most of the time I felt unsure wether I needed to be skipping time forward to hit more triggers or wether I was shooting myself in the foot by skipping time, factoring in how long itd take to travel from x to y because what if the next trigger happened when I was going somewhere, and so on.
It was tedious and unfun.
Kanerah is a money grubbing bitch
Kanerah genuinely falls for you and this is hardly an argument when you like the insane bitch that's constantly trying to kill you
her sister is impossible to get to put out
Kalikke marries you at the end of the game and is open to doing threesomes with her sister
Nyrissa hooks you up with endless fey pussy
She's ugly as fuck
The game itself. After a certain date, the game inexplicably tells you to get your ass to the final act. Wasn't efficient in leveling up Kingdom stats? Didn't get legendary artisan items? Not game's problem. Should've metagamed better.
Can’t RP walk so it’s a bad rpg
You can only role play as a jogger
She's only insane because of an external influence, and despite that she falls for you. I do like the twins but there's no beating the salad pussy. You get immortality too, what's not to like?
No, I won't pull out when I cum inside Gigi.

Based, though how does fey pregnancy work? They can have kids with humans as we saw in the swamp village, but that was a satyr banging some whore.
Its not a big deal because you can just bang her "sisters" and "cousins" while she is pregnant but if she uses magic to block pregnancies or abort it would be pretty cringe.
She's ugly as fuck
She is cute when she is good and her friends look like pic rel
Kalikke marries you at the end of the game and is open to doing threesomes with her sister
You have to romance her too and I never got that to trigger.
If you do the story missions you can take your sweet time because none of those are particularly long. The hidden timers are a nothingburger.
Wasn't efficient in leveling up Kingdom stats? Didn't get legendary artisan items?
Literal skill issue. How do you not have everything at rank 10 the end? What the fuck were you doing in those two free ancient curses after Twice Born Warlord and Pitax?
A pretty boots on the ground fantasy romp until everything gets fucking wild.
The final boss is awesome.
His theme is a great contender for best song in the game.
She is cute when she is good
Just a consequence of leveling up, you become stronger so your challenges have to become more and more dire, more high stakes.
If you do the story missions you can take your sweet time because none of those are particularly long. The hidden timers are a nothingburger.
Yes, once you know they are a nothingburger. This is useful after a first playthrough and with meta knowledge, but the game puts a lot of pressure on you and it throwing random triggers at specific points makes you feel like you cant go adventure and shit in fear of the next trigger.
Ahnassi ?
My special friend.

literal hellspawn who took every dick from Mecca to London

literal Nymphomaniac who hasnt been fucked for hundreds of years
sorry I forgot to say NTA, OP was asking about that old game I want the tastiest graphics
That's pretty much always the case with any rpg. You start out rescuing cats from trees and end up fighting God to determine the fate of the world.
Literal skill issue. How do you not have everything at rank 10 the end?
By not knowing there is a strict end game limit and actually resting often to listen to banter instead of dragging an exhausted party from A to B. Don't act like it's a forgiving timer either. Again, you can google the amount of time this gets brought up and how many people get ambushed by "20 Fey assaults in the bio," it's not lenient if you don't metagame.
dude who came up with this thought he had to give the players tons of money so we'd like his OC
Honestly its kinda sad.
who took every dick from Mecca to London
Kanerah was in a relationship with some aasimar noble
Fuck this shit. Glad Owlcat shied away from Kickstarter for Rogue Trader.
An absolute fucking slog
But I still enjoyed it
Seriously fuck the house at the edge of time though
Canon KC is;
Aasimar
Female
Bard
Chaotic Good
Azata
Romance Arue
Ascension ending
Impregnated with twins
Why are this game's female portraits so awful?
What were you doing after The Twice Born Warlord and War of the River Kings??? That alone is around 500 days to do what ever the fuck you want.
I was willing to excuse a lot of things in Kingmaker because it was Owlcat's first game, but if I've seen anything so far with two additional games it's that they CANNOT land the ending without turning the final stretch into an absolute chore.
*mogs you*
She is beautiful, chud.
Resting is less of a problem if you have supplies. If you're actually hunting/not using healing spells that's where you're wasting time. Also, get used to tired characters and not always having all abilities on the ready. Unless you're on higher difficulties it really doesn't matter THAT much.
She became a Hellknight in my ending. I was quite satisfied.
yep...
Seriously fuck the house at the edge of time though
there's bad end game, and there's wanting to blow my brains out

You can just add more options instead of more power. Like, as you level up, your guy e.g., becomes so mobile or controls the battlefield so much that mundane opponents can't realistically fight him without having massive numbers with which to cover all the possible things he can pull out of his ass on a whim.
Not being able to hurt a guy because you can't pin him down while he easily pins you down is different from not being able to hurt him because his skin shrugs off anything but the magic equivalent of a tank shooting him in the face.
This fat fucking bastard of a goddamn bro.
he's like epic and stuff and he the best thief in the world and he laughs and gives the player money and and he's unkillable and and
I'm glad this guy was so widely mocked for such a faggy OC character
It makes me appreciate more mundane down to earth RPGs.
does nothing to help linzi
What a bitch
need more twins porn
It was all worth it to make Arushalaes dream come true
Ah yes she also kills one of your companions, potentially several of them, just another thing abouy Nyrissa that makes no sense
I wanted to like this game but it ended up falling flat.
Not true.
Yeah everybody kinda forgot about that lol
Twins needed more fucking content. The number of times I talked to them and checked their room over and over just to see if there was anything new only to be disappointed was ridiculous.
LOTS and LOTS of baby making sex with Valerie
It's okay I only really cared about Nok-Nok anyway.
honestly cant really force myself for another round after bg3. thats what youre in for
Generic random peasant....
A super comfy start that gets bogged down in kingdom management. The writing is unremarkable and half the game rules aren't actually written anywhere which can be a bit frustrating.
Spurd O. Sparde
I'm stealing that
LOTS and LOTS of baby making sex with Valerie
I wish you could romance both Nyrissa and Valerie.
Its your choice to romance her after that.
Define "content" because they have just as many quests as everyone else, it's only the romance that's short
It's my go to.
Farmer only, sorry.
Ah yes she also kills one of your companions, potentially several of them, just another thing abouy Nyrissa that makes no sense
That's a skill issue. She only fucked over Linzi in my story, and Linzi was fine with being a book.
Groetus is a good god, Groetus is objectively correct in the teachings about the world.
morally correct genocide with your ranger bro
and Linzi was fine with being a book
which is extremely pathetic damage control lmao
Side shit, DLC dungeon, extra locations I did everything the game has to offer except the stats. The game never stipulates or even encourages you to chain level up the stats, and why would I want to front-load them, I am not willing to sit in the capital for months of in-game reading the mind-numbing management "content," maybe I would if I knew there was a time limit but who knows.
Again, you are acting like it's fucking autmoatic get. Go open achievements on Steam and realize that only half of the people who finished the game leveled them to 10.
Nice one. I usually go for Harry Balzack.
the dwarf is just xan from baldurs gate but a cleric
I didn't like the way you can't just force Nyrissa to accept her heart back. You *have* to romance her. Having a '[Lawful] No, you have to accept the things you have done' or '[Good] Noone is beyond saving' would've been too much? Nah.
I also thought it was very stupid that chasing the Lantern King was railroaded. You don't have any reason to chase after him. It's fucking Moby Dick. He's an Elder Fey. Chasing him is literally pointless. But it's game over if you don't so fuck you. Plus your fucking kingdom gets wrecked if you chase him too.
and Xan was based
Tie her down and have the village run a train on her
It's an inherent issue with Vancian magic systems, especially early on. If your wizard can only be useful in two to three fights before having to rest or be totally useless you either don't play a wizard, change systems, or start at level 5. This is not even accounting for spell preparation meaning you don't have enough slots for both combat utility and adventure utility (as useless as the latter are in video games) and if you specced wrong and the game/DM throws a curveball at the party you might as well just scroll on your phone and shoot your lame cantrip once a turn until the dungeon is over.
Shills claim this supposedly balances the fact that at high levels wizards are gods that make the rest of the party totally irrelevant but most campaigns never get that far and that's not balance, that's just wack.
The game never stipulates or even encourages you to chain level up the stats,
Its literary a quest you get at the start of the game.
for months of in-game reading
You dont have to read it and it takes minutes irl
Go open achievements on Steam and realize that only half of the people who finished the game leveled them to 10.
I doubt half the players got past act 1, normies dont finish games.
I was shocked to see there was no canonical Paladin companion in the game. Lack of a Druid doesn't surprise me, no but designated good guy Paladin? Weird.
owlcat rip-offs older infinity engine characters
no shit
I'm looking for a crpg that is a traditional fantasy, knights tale; and epic were you slay epic foul monsters of staggering proportions, kill the evil witch lurking in the forest, brave new forgotten lands with secrets of untold proportions, what game is for me??
I don't care that much about mountains and mountains of forced lore wikki fagging but a little is fine.
You're not looking for a CRPG, you want Legends of Eisenwald.
Battle Brothers
I've been trying to find a comfy and short low-level CRPG for ages. Roadwarden scratched that itch since it's like 8 hours per run and you get three runs out of it. Give me 10 games like that instead of one game ten times the length and I'll be happy.
I liked the writing around Harrim, it really feels like getting more comfortable with the idea of an ultimate end.
Really good writing, meanwhile Avellone is doing le quirky Goblin "hero" lmao
This but Octavia
Banquet for Fools kinda looks like it, for now.
I'm looking for a crpg that is a traditional fantasy, knights tale; and epic were you slay epic foul monsters of staggering proportions, kill the evil witch lurking in the forest, brave new forgotten lands with secrets of untold proportions, what game is for me??
Pathfinder Kingmaker.
Dragon Age Origins.
Wraith of the Righteous.
pathfinder kingmaker, baldurs gate 1 and 2, pathfinder wotr, just pick the angel mythic path and kill demons.
I really liked it too
it really feels like getting more comfortable with the idea of an ultimate end
As opposed to embracing your true self instead of pretending to be something you're not?
Or trying to fulfill your goal no matter how much people make fun of you?
I can make something sound deep too
Gonna have to wait for 1.0 + bugfixes before I touch it but yeah it looks decent. Wish the Roadwarden dev did more stuff like his first game.
I liked Harrim a lot too, but I didn't like his resolution. It became extremely fucking obvious that his god gave him the unmaking blessing so he would destroy creations that weren't right, but then Harrim never fucking realises and just keeps worshipping Groetus for no reason I guess. Just doesn't make any fucking sense.
Same
because valerie fits the role thematically, if not mechanically
Honestly every custom portrait looks worse.
gods suck
paladin suck
not even lawful good, but neutral, okay with evil shit if it's "lawful"
No she doesn't
surprisingly bro companions like ekundayo
Yeah. He can also be REAL useful with acid depending on how early you recruit him to deal with trolls.
While Regongar is forced to watch
Really liked this nigga
Its literary a quest you get at the start of the game.
Did you miss the chain-level-up portion? No matter at what stat level your kingdom is, it is irrelevant to invasions or any other quests. It's inefficient to not sit in the capital and just level them up in bulk, which is not something I wanted to do because there was never any urgency. I would level up a couple of stats while I was passing through. You know, RPing, because the way the advisor conversations are paced, it seems extremely fucking gamey to never have breaks in between them.
You dont have to read it and it takes minutes irl
Just fucking click through it lmao
Great content I wonder why half of the players never finish it even if they don't account for the timer. I don't understand what horse you have in it when you are now telling me to actively skip the major portion of kingdom stats.
Valerie is an insane and spiteful woman who relishes in extremist options. She's fully in support of the genocide of races that she considers evil, she fully supports torture, and she's fine with evil shit if it's "lawful". She's also incredibly narcissistic and vain since she actually LOVES the intention and lust that her beautiful charm brings. When she loses it, she becomes spiteful and cruel.
she's an Ex-paladin. also you get your lawful good paladin companion in the demon crusade game. kingmaker gives you the barbarian woman. also Ekundayo exists as a Lawful good exterminator of monsters in KM
Not really no
She's a fallen paladin of Shelyn
It's clear default male portrait is supposed to be a paladin.
Wow, she sounds like me!
She was literally never a Paladin, speedreader bro. She LEFT the order of Shelyn because they wouldn't let her fight or do anything masculine. They treated her like a wallflower and a noble woman to be courted and pampered because of her beauty. This frustrated her, and it's why she left. Because they were stifling her and treating her like a doll, not a person.
She learned how to fight AFTER leaving and becoming a mercenary
That a generic fighter. Not enough religious symbols for a paladin
mace
cleric
That's very clearly a fighter, not a paladin
She's a fallen paladin of Shelyn
No she isn't. See
It's inefficient to not sit in the capital and just level them up in bulk, which is not something I wanted to do
Then what were you doing all the time lmao, there is only so many places you can visit on the map.
Clearly, he's been resting after every encounter.
I laft
uhm wtf?
What? The implication was she was hassled by a wealthy paedophile. Is that too shocking for you or something?
Assuming the Pathfinder world is similar to irl medieval times that was pretty common for nobels.
Kinda, yeah
there is only so many places you can visit on the map.
Worked for me? I almost never ran out of things to do in between the acts. Again, half of the people who finish this game never get them to the max. Continue acting like it's a given, though.
Actually, every 2 in-game days regardless of whether there was an encounter.
faggot propaganda
Owlcat are just bad developers compared to Larian. You can see it in the encounter design, game design, etc.
Based Jubilost
At least they are competent enough to add content beyond lvl 12.
200 replies until Larian was mentioned
Well it was fun while it lasted
That's because the fighting design in the Pathfinder games consists of the devs throwing trash mobs at you every few feet without any intellectual thought put behind it. You can tell they're low-iq developers.
I have no idea where that rivalry came from.
Obsidian should be the rival to Owlcat, they can fight it out in their battle of mid
I unironically and literally cannot imagine why anyone would waste the moments they have in their life on Owlcat games when there's Larian, which creates so much more quality games.
you can... PUSH people?????
and sometimes (like three times) an archers starts ABOVE you???
AAAAAIIIEEEEEE THATS THE GOOD STUFF!!!!!
Ayo what. I just started BG3. Does it really have a lvl 12 cap?
yeah lol.
Height matters, there are environmental objects that can be manipulated to your advantage, elemental manipulation is far superior (better than 0 at least compared to Owlcat games), etc. etc.
these kind of posts are always funny, because even if they were true, that's still more than what Owlcat does, it's simply an unwinnable fight because no matter how bad X may be, then you can be damn sure Owlcat does it worse
Baldur's Gate 1 had a level cap of 7/8. Shit doesn't matter.
Owlcat fans insist on these comparison, even though Owlcat and Larian are different in how they design games.
Obsidian is way more close to Owlcat with their RTWP systems and design by the book to old school crpgs.
But Owlcat fans are spiteful and obnoxious so they invade all Larian spaces and try to shill their games there constantly.
When Anon Babble shut down i went to Reddit and every thread i wanted to talk about a Larian game i was bombarded with an army of fanboys shilling Owlcat games particularly Rogue Trader and WOTR. Idk kingmaker fans seem chill
baldurs gate 1 didn't have you fighting ilithids or open with dragons and devil lords crashing a mindflayer ship your on
Larian design is just gimmicky shit.
you can push somebody to instantly kill them
woah
Wdym you don't like hot stat action that inevitably gets reduced to just throwing greater dispels at each other?
Confusion during character creation.
As a matter of fact you're right. What does matter, however, is that you reach level 12 very early on in act 3, which absolutely fucking sucks because the progression is totally lost after that and you spend the rest of the game not growing stronger
In BG1 you reach the level cap near the end of the game
Ayo what. I just started BG3. Does it really have a lvl 12 cap?
Yup. Funnily enough, the balance in the game falls apart as early as level 5 because of how Larian implemented haste and bonus attacks. Haste literally DOUBLES how many attacks you have per a round. So you can have a fighter that unironically does 8 attacks per a round at level 5.
Baldurs Gate 1 was adnd, completely different system. And the sequels went beyond lvl 20.
Try again.
I liked DoS2's combat more than bg3s desu
Something that can't be disputed.
Muh tactical turn based gameplay
AI in BG3 is so fucking dumb you can build a concentration based AOE dead zone comp that covers entrances in Hunger of Hadar, Plant Growth & Spike Growth and AI will literally just stand there doing nothing because stepping into the zone is suicide, all while you blast them with superior dark vision. This can literally beat 90% of game with 0 effort.
World of Warcraft visuals
need concentration
concentration immediately breaks and your hasted characters lose a turn to fatigue
haste fucking blows
muh ground effects
Who cares.
Although I admit interactions like setting grease on fire, or burning away plant growth or electrocuting wet areas is really cool.
Both takes a huge dump on most if not all crpgs though. cold hard truth
very early on in act 3
i think i reached it mid act 3 and i did a lot of side quest, like too many of them including most of underdark and passage. In comparison in Pathfinder the game trivializes after you merge your spell book with mythic book, angel can just spam orbital strikes which is way earlier
What? Haste is the best spell in the game. And between Haste + Potions of Bloodlust + Action Surge, you should literally be killing almost every enemy -- even bosses, before they even get a turn.
Its amazing, there is like 10 modern Crpgs at best and maybe 2 or 3 devs still making them, yet Crpg fans cant help themselves but keep fighting on which one is the best while arguing the rest is trash.
shame a good genre wasted on these subhumans
People will argue over anything, anon, it's the way of the world.
That's why if you build alpha strike/action surge based comps with designated haste you pick twin spell sorc as the haste bot.
Haste on two targets
Can still blast
proficiency in const + 16 const means +5 to saving throws on concentration from lvl 1.
Elixir of peerless focus gives you advantage on con saving throws, plus there's like 9 pieces of gear that give that advantage.
Literally impossible to break.
dos combat: ground effects & barrels
bg3 combat: pushing & barrels
both are pretty damn boring. there's not a single spell in either game that's as fun as even a level 9 magic missile from baldur's gate (naturally, multi-turn cast with time stops and contingencies). in fact, bg3 managed to make magic missiles boring. how gay is that?
Magic is unironically dogshit in BG3 and only retarded fanboys dispute that. 11 fighter 1 battle cleric dishes out more damage per turn than 3 blaster casters combined with the use of special arrows, which you can get infinite amount of by spending 100 gold on respec and spamming level ups or resting in camp.
The possibilities are insane bro, there is a lot of fun things you can pull in those games. truly the best combat in any crpg.
magic is strong to deal aoe damage, more than fighter
it shines in cloister fight for example when sorcerer is more valuable than the fighter there.
THIS IS A PATHFINDER KINGMAKER THREAD!
am i supposed to be missing 90% of my attacks? the end fight of the tutorial took 9 turns because every single character in my party missed a basic attack on an enemy
Turn the difficulty down
11 fighter 1 battle cleric dishes out more damage per turn than 3 blaster casters combined
No?
Lightning Gear + Wet Status Effect + Twinned Chain Lightning
Draconic Sorcerer + Twinned Scorching Ray + Fire Amping Gear
Eldritch Blast Sorcerer
Evocation Wizard spamming magic missile (this one only works in act 3 though)
All three of these builds demolish enemies ingame.
Just adjust the difficulty, it will save your sanity, trust me.
Wrong. This is a spiderman thread
haste can be risky in honor mode if it breaks it can be deadly and you get that game over screen.
haste is still top tier spell but in honor mode the balance is adjusted so you cant have multiple attacks. also haste can become safer if you combine it with sanctuary effect or twin it from a sorc or a tanky paladin that has high ac and good spell save from items.
so you can play around it in multiple ways and synergize it well to maximum benefits.
i conquered honor mode without haste cause i like to use other spells but yeah there is a lot of things to do if you turn your brain just lil bit
The difficulty settings in Kingmaker and Wrath of the Righteous are extremely extremely fucking stupid. If you turn it on 'challenging' difficulty every enemy you face has a massive stat increase over the pen and paper version of that enemy. Which makes a lot of encounters fucking stupid.
You just abuse arcane acuity and then upcast shit like Command to disable an entire encounter for free
wet status effect
fire amping gear
magic missile spam (stacking thunder damage and radiant orbs)
Homebrew garbage
seems legit i guess, i went for a custom difficulty to try and make the game as 1:1 as possible with no advantages for myself or for enemies but if thats the way it is then a +2/+4 handicap on rolls shouldnt be too scandalous
You just abuse arcane acuity and then upcast shit like Command to disable an entire encounter for free
Or just be a Divination Wizard and force your enemies to roll a 2 on their saves
Here's some slop just for you
files.catbox.moe
When you're low levels a +4 bonus is very scandalous. Why do you think greater heroism is the best spell in the game.
i found that controlling the battlefield is just as effective as aoe dmg or single target dps murder machines.
a sword bard ranger with many target arrow and ice ring can wreck the battle field with icy surface that can prone them, then you can use the mystic scoundrel ring with illusion bonus to cast a cc effect, slow is heavily underrated as its opposite of haste and its benefits are insane, its honestly slept on. or hypnotice or confusion and then you control most of the fight.
alternatively you can have your spell casters cover an area with 2 control combos like silence and hoh or noxious cloud and silence or a well placed wall of fire or blade barrier and it can be super effective.
Do what you want.
More like homebrew kino, Owlcat themselves literally started making up homebrew classes for their DLCs, what, you didn't like those?
i dont know what greater heroism is anon...... i only just pirated the game yesterday and my last save is at the trading post
Larians homebrew is just game breaking nonsense.
It's a spell. It gives you +4 to rolls.
Not giving money to the great Owlcat
for shame
The possibilities are insane bro, there is a lot of fun things you can pull in those games. truly the best combat in any crpg.
yeah, but you won't be doing those things because they are both worse and slower than the alternatives. what you actually do is, you push (sometimes throw) everything to its death. or you blow it up to its death. or you buff your attack faggot up the ass and megarape everything to death with auto-attacks. I honestly can't even remember a single fight from BG3, they're all exactly the same. and I only really remember one fight from DOS2; the 'everything is on fire' fight that lasts literally like 40 minutes the first time you do because you've no idea what's going to happen and then all the oozes just spawn endlessly while healing and spamming flame everywhere and soaking up minutes worth of turns by just slowly oozing around doing nothing.
actually, I do remember the fight where you have to slam that idiot robot with the giant hammer like 5 times to kill him. and even there, the memory is much like the DOS2 one, where I remember it because it's so boring and shitty. in fact, most my memories from both games is how boring and shitty so much of them are, with either having to wait forever for enemy animations to finish playing, or (in BG3 in particular), having to constantly jump to get around everywhere because of all the gay-ass traps.
magic is strong to deal aoe damage, more than fighter
Wrong.
Maxed fighter can theoretically deal thousands points of aoe damage in one turn with arrows of many targets, sharpshooter, 27 str pot, titanstring and other effects like reverberation + Drakethroat and so on.
Magic only begins to compare once you unlock black hole, which not only is locked behind end of 2nd act but it also turns you into an ugly illithid fuck. It's literally 200+ damage per arrow fired if you crit, with 10 arrows to fire.
Owlcat's currently done with Pathfinder due to some dispute with Paizo, but they have expressed interest in returning to PF
however, there are still upcoming PF vidya:
The Dragon's Demand
turn-based strategy RPG from Ossian
youtube.com
Abomination Vaults
co-op hand-and-slash ARPG from BKOM
youtube.com
All garbage.
Also I forgot to mention that w/e effect you trigger on your main target automatically triggers on every bounced target.
NOOOO IT'S BROKEN NO FUN ALLOWED
Ok balance man
Just play on normal.
KM is relatively grounded and the AC of the vast majority of enemies can be overcome with any build. Their attack rolls are a bigger problem so usually getting more AC is more important than getting extra attack bonuses.
Dont worry about it, KM is doable if you dont know pathfinder. Wotr is the giga bloated mess.
I mean you might as well press the "I win" button but whatever, Larian babies arent known for actually wanting to play a game.
Is this your first Owlcat game, anon? This is a very important question.
wrong again bro
actually they are much quicker than the alternatives.
the alternative is you baiting them to a cliff so that you can shove them, but many fights are far away from cliffs.
and at the same time setting up lots of barrels can take a lot of time especially when you want to collect a lot of them in your inventory first, and some fights dont let you do that either.
the smash builds are strong but need proper itemization and rotation to bring the most benefits, even with that many encoutners have a lot of enemies that can make this tedious and take time if you play unga bonga. example is the shadowcrow fight, why smash them with melee when you can spirit guardian them? or the protect the portal fight same thing with setting up traps and doing aoe dmg, or the cloister fight, or the meenlock fight, or the goblin camp fights, or the spider fights, or nere encoutner and many many others. you need to also play around cc espeically in place like steel watch fondry cause you can get dominated and killed, so unga bonga is not useful there
you clearly dont know what you are talking about bro
thats not exclusive to fighter and it requires a set up first to bring that much dmg which you can do easier with a spell caster with less cost and less time
i played rogue trader up until that first big station you get to after the prologue/intro star system but thats it
press I win button (from a mod to prebuff)
autoattack everything to death
yup yup
Wizard, Sorcerer, or Warlock?
I know that (as always) Larian took over the thread but this is Pathfinder kingmaker, there is no warlock, closest you get is kineticist
Cant be so easy if in every thread there is some baby whining about it.
speaking of balance it should be noted that not a single crpg is balanced anyway its a pointless thing to chase in single player games
is KM campaign better than WotR? in wrath i ran into dungeons and areas which clearly were made as standalone content separate from main campaign and it was big turnoff for already very bloated game.
Another reason WotR is better, more class options that are entirely flavor and offer no meaningful differences mechanically.
It's a matter of personal preference, honestly.
I absolutely hated that dryad bitch
omg pls simp for me, also this is my forest teehee
shut the fuck up and get off my land
noo u don't get it, im doing this because im a muh victim
OH MY LORD i don't care, you and that faggot elder fuck off my land
the ending of this game was an absolute fucking slog that overstayed it's welcome far too long
wut
KM campaign:
kill the Stag Lord within 90 days (generous)
get your city
fight the curse at the bald hilltop
story quest starts
do story quest
lots of free time to do whatever
fight the curse at the bald hilltop
repeat
He doesn't enjoy Pyromantic Wizard, that adds 2d6 extra fire damage against water enemies during daytime, at the cost of losing half it's spell slots and being encumbered at all times
Let me guess. Blackwater?
Kinoif you take Blind Fight on everybody
Just get freedom of movement and the ring of law for Kanerha (Kalikke needs blind fight though except if you have the skin of the rough beast)
KM's campaign is in fact even more bloated and without DLC
Here is a base class INT caster with prepared spells
It has only one spellbook
That spellbook is ass
Its like if you made a shitty Wizard
Why does Witch even exist?
It was cool until the guys from the Witcher 3 invaded my Kingdom.
Witcher 3 is 10 years old today
KM Wild Hunts would wipe the floor with Witcher 3 sissy elf "wild hunts", they are basically demigods. Hope Geralt has blind fight lmao
what about loading screens is it alteast slightly less prevalent? game has a lot lower pc requirements according to steam page.
I'm still looking for a single RPG that can top The Witcher 3 its still the GOAT
BG3
hahahahahahaha
The loading screen problem is even WORSE, for two reasons, first there's way more emphasis on the kingdom management aspect (the crusade management is a watered down version of it) and second, there are a shitton of areas to explore, every single one of them with a loading screen
tfw no wild hunt gf
solely as a memelord 1 dip powergamer boost class in order to get ice skin armor whatever-its-called
*paralyses you with her gaze
Not even close
The Witcher 3 stands tall
what are you even on about? RT have great OST
youtu.be
youtu.be
3e is bloated as fuck because WotC and Paizo wanted to keep selling books so they kept making up redundant gimmick classes.
And in Wotr almost every companion is a gimmick class.
paralyzes u
takes off your clothes
rides and sucks your dick
Man I´d hate that haha
build options are very limited its basically just smashing your sword against enemy for entire game with barely any variety, replay value is ass its barely a rpg
oh that sucks, not touching the game then load screens were a major annoyance for me in Wotr
Its not that bad, just get the cleaner mod so you can remove junk after leaving an area.
I agree it doesn't have deep builds but it has the best quests in any RPG ever.
The music, the art, the character its all ludokino
Do you remember Candlemere Tower?
tfw no octavia wife
That's the baby of some random Tuskdale citizen
With the dickhead wisps that instacast lightning on you? Yeah. Great encounter copypasted 20 times over so you have to rest and reapply protection from lightning every 10 feet. Amazing stuff.
It’s just not as good. Should’ve gotten the guy that made the Mechanicus ost
Yeah me (not that anon)
Dark Heresy game next?
We might find out on Thursday (Skulls Event).
hello, homosolder
Is that Keanu?
What or who?
Wh is for woke non straight people
ESLfag still mad
the plot is actually good, coherent, and complete
Kibellah is a complex character with lots of different story outcomes to her arc
good encounters (RT's encounter design in general is a lot better than the Pathfinder games, but it's hampered by the PCs becoming overpowered way too quickly), probably the best in the game
it's an issue for Vancian magic video games, since there's no DM to tell you no and developers seem hesitant to be more heavy-handed with restricting long rests to prevent player whining.
I'm playing through it right now. It's a lot comfier than WOTR.
eat shit wh homosolder
people love fantasy like Bg3 not homoerotic scifi
including Veilguard
embarrassing
ACK
mace
that's a flail dog
I want access to level 6 spells for exactly one encounter
SEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEX
1 million sales for a CRPG seems really damn good.
hol up, I know the name
the guy who made music for russian Katawa Shoujo did Pathfinder ost
ok then
