That said I think overall E33's flaws are larger than Metaphor's, and gameplay-wise Metaphor was a lot more polished compared to E33 which tended to be kind of janky

I think one of my biggest problems with Expedition is the story, and it's weird. Because I genuinely like the whole thing with the painters and such, but I just feel like it makes everything before that reveal kind of pointless.

Metaphor is good but fuck it's way too long. It just runs out of steam.
It's also the first of those games were you can do everything in one playthrough easily. Most people I've seen finished it with days to spare with all stats and social links maxed.

I do think the pictos/lumina system allows for more build variety, but it's also a lot easier to abuse
The inconsistent difficulty level throughout the game is one of E33's flaws, some content is too easy and some is too hard which encourages cheese strategies

The only boss in the entire game worry cheesing is Simon and he’s literally beneath 10 layers of giga chad enemies that will clearly let you know if you are ready for him.
