Bankruptcy in two more weeks amirite Anon Babblesisters?

Why are people trying to spam ragebait screencap threads about this game again? I thought people stopped caring.

b-but they ratio'd grummz...

Ps5 stays winning.

2.4 mil does not seem particularly low.
I mean it's not great for a AAA game, but not terrible.

People are losing their jobs. People with families. People with children. People upon whom others depend to put clothes on their back and food on their table. Now they have nothing. Many of them will have to take jobs out of desperation at reduced pay which will impact their quality of life. They will have to move across the country. They will have to sell their homes at a loss. They will have to pull their kids out of school in the middle of the year.

And yet here you are on the asshole of the internet gloating about it, right on cue. And why? Because these people made a game you did not like. As if that is such a fucking crime. But no, it's not enough that you did not support the game. You had to take it a step further. You had to trash it at every opportunity. You had to discourage others from supporting it.

There are so many talented individuals in this industry who grow disillusioned and quit because of people like you. The bitterness. The schadenfreude. The spitefulness. The hatred. There are supportive people out there but they are drowned out by the negativity. This website is a festering shitpile and people like you are mysteriously drawn to it.

You need to take a step back and reevaluate your life. Ask yourself why you take so much joy when others encounter misfortune. Does it make you feel better? Does your life finally have a purpose? Do you feel fulfilled? Do your parents tell you how proud they are of you? Where exactly did it all go wrong?

I hate you. I fucking hate you. And I don't mean that in the "I think you are a fucking dickhead" sense but in the "I loathe the mere fact that you are allowed to exist another miserable day" sense. I hope you find yourself in the same situation someday. And I hope someone gloats about it on the internet. And others join in celebration. Just like you are doing right now. I will be there when it happens. And I will laugh my ass off at you.

Fuck you.

Just fuck you.

retarded bait that every single twitter tourist will fall for

Nice pasta.

Anon Babble - Reddit and Twitter Reposts

Fuck this gay board

Maybe they should have learned to be plumbers or electricians instead of making toys.

AAA generally needs 5 million+ to break even. Ubisoft are notoriously bad with budgets though, and we've all seen the ridiculous size of the AC Shadows credits, not to mention that this game needed to not just do well, but also cover for a half dozen other expensive flops they've had recently.

But I didnt do anything?

and that's evil

JOBS ARE AT STAKE

sx.png - 1200x900, 2.85M

I told you before. The sub reddit that picture is posted from hates Ubisoft. I agree the game is shit but you need to use non biased sources. I'm not trying to be rude to you or anything, it's just you need to use a source that is more neutral.

A mere 2.4 million for one of the biggest AAAA games in history.

Can't wait for the same to happen to GoyTA6, another "too big to fail" series.

How big were the last bonus payments for the execs of those people who lost theit jobs?

Steam chart bros.... We won....

That's the real news. Xbox Gamepass has killed PC gaming. We saw this trend with E33. Where PlayStation users have triple the play time of their PC and Xbox. counterparts.
PC players have begun to mirror Xbox gamers habits of trying a game for an hour and never playing it again.

Will never happen. Two entire generations grew up on buying shark cards for GTA 5

Good.
Also "furbabies" are not children

Won the irrelevancy award

AC shadows.jpg - 1080x256, 102.96K

random noname blog is the source

uses ubishills unironically

sales were so bad it was hard for experts to analyse!!! (makes no sense)

we dont know the number for this platform but lets assume...

Well I don't believe you. Console players don't even exist.

me.png - 637x555, 74.17K

So you assume that the platform we don't know the numbers for sold 20 million copies instead

So youre delusional, so what?

That's abysmal considering

it's a AAA game that cost hundreds of millions of dollars to make and had thousands of employees working on it

it's the next mainline entry in motherfucking Assassins Creed

it was their ace card, Asscreed Japan was their secret weapon for when the company needs it most

But they couldn't help themselves, all they had to do was release their usual slop without fucking it it up and they couldn't do it.

console cucks more likely to spend $100 on absolute garbage

Yes, we already knew that

Are the people posting in this thread bots or something? People stopped making AC Shadows threads like 2 months ago.

yeah, im sure someone that used the word "shills" will be unbiased

smart.jpg - 1024x766, 58.23K

the shills left, so the people laughing at the game must be bots

I bought this game day 1 on PS5 for 80 Euro Dollars even though I knew it would be shit and it did end up being extremely shit. I'm addicted to playing every AC game. I played all of them day 1.

Reminder Ubisoft straight up did not even give sales figures even to shareholders.

Looking at top steam games shows you got nothing to stand on calling other things garbage

Real problem is they wanted higher sales than Valhalla, but that game was boosted by Covid and no AC will probably surpass it.

I assume that all the numbers are fabricated, no one ever heard of alineanalytics/blog.

just let me beat a dead horse and talk about dead pozzed tranny games...OKAY?!

There were never genuine shills here, it was dumb faggots like you spamming Twitter screencap threads about the game because you refused to stay there.

Ok but that should be 108,000,000 in profit, assuming an average of $45 made per sale after the 30% platform tax. It shouldn't cost more than ten million to make a video game, right? They're rolling in cash, right?

I hope Anno gets picked up by someone good like Paradox.

just let me beat a dead horse

Yep. Your DEI games are dead

This, i genuinely liked the game, when i played the first 3 hours i even called in sick to work so i could play some more, i liked it that much. Probably the best Assassins Creed game i have played since AC Mirage.

It shouldn't cost more than ten million to make a video game, right?

AAAAHAHAHHAHAHAAA!

Anno games have consistently done well, and seem to actually be in good hands who went so far as to foolproof Anno 2070 when there was Ubisoft Connect DRM nonsens going on, but they're nowhere near multiple million selling properties.

the fact inzoi sold like dogshit despite how surprisingly shilled it was is rather surprising to me
that khazan didn't even chart is also funny

who could have foreseen this turn of events?!

Twitter is LE BAD

Can someone explain this leftist meme to me? Twitter is based.

Everyone, apparently.

NNNNNNIIIIGGGGGGEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Months of seething only for everyone to realize that current Assassin's Creed is shit.

Imagine how bad the next game will sell. Isnt it supposed to be about lesbian witches or something?

Lesbian witches should sell really really well. If the witches are hot. The witches are hot and white/east asian, right?

Trannies hate people not moving on from their failures and remembering shit.

One item has five different minor percentual stat changes on it

They make about $49 per copy sold after Steam/Sony/Microsoft takes 30%

49 x 2.4 mil = 117 mil

Many sources say the game cost 250 million to develop.

This is before marketing budget, which for AAA games can be an additional 50-100 million

It's a colossal failure considering what they put into it. They made a little over 1/3rd of it back at best.

AC japan could have easily sold that much, all they had to do is not add their negrophile kike bullshit.

You don't hate game developers enough.
You think you do, but you don't.

Yes. People are so accustomed to skinner box bullshit they actually hated how Valhalla did gear.

shouldn't cost more than ten million to make a video game, right? They're rolling in cash, right?

look up how much an exec said the march delay cost them

Reminder that Ubishit wanted Shadows to do as well as Tsushima did in Japan lmao.

Asssassins Creed has been pretty shit for a long time now, even the better games in the series like Odyssey are fundamentally repetitive slop. Shadows really doesn't do anything special or out of the ordinary. I'm convinced that the game did poorly due to all the controversies raising the level of scrutiny about the game. Anyway first impressions are still extremely important, people saw Yasuke and instinctively felt turned off. I'm tired of fence sitting youtubers and ecelebs conveniently tip toeing around the elephant in the room, "it's not the woke it's X!" and sure there are often various reasons for games flopping but it doesn't change the fact that when people got exposed to the game, be it through trailers or presentations a good chunk of them thought to themselves "what the fuck is this bullshit?".

It's fucking
(frown) AC: Place
(sôŷsmile) AC: Japan
and they fumbled this hard.

Don't companies usually only show the revenue anyway? Units sold is treated like some area 51 classified shit, but it's literally the thing they do, they sell products. That information should be available to everyone not just shareholders.

I'm nota big history nerd for Japan. but was anything interesting happening in Japan during the 1530's? I think a continuation of Shao Jun story would've been cool both as a continuation of chronicles China and as linking back to Ezio.
Seems like a win-win. You could have the outsider perspective they wanted with Yasuke as she is Chinese and the female character

gen z want to play gacha and live service shit

You are not owed a job

It's early access, tons of people said they're waiting for a year or two of updates before getting into it

Tomb Raider remake and Deus Ex HR were targeting 5 million over a decade ago. Ubisoft is an even bigger bloat company

HONHONHON ZE ZESTY NEGRO SHALL BRAKE SUSHI GHOSTS SALES RECORDS

Jesus that's grim

this, and unironically, you have to understand the mindset of your modern Leftist, especially Western Coastal Elite Leftist.

anything to virtue signal, anything to show allegience, anything to conform to ever shifting Leftist Dogma.

put them in positions of power in your company and they will absolutely destroy your company and feel nothing, because it was "for the cause".

they nuked Ubisoft's future to Own the Chuds, completely unironically.

this game cost alot of fucking money, anon.

alot more than 2.5 million copies will cover, they don't make games to recoup 25% of the cost of production.

it's an "anon confuses revenue with profit" episode

So what happened to its legs? They said 3M players but never updated it again.

Is it fun to think of and type paragraphs of bait? I'd feel like a fucking loser personally.

Anon... they literally said this game was make-or-break for Ubisoft. It needed to exceed expectations for them like how Monster Hunter Wilds did for Capcom. Doing just okay wasn't going to help them when their stock was in the gutter.

its only Sunday, they have time.. by next Saturday that concurent player count will be 200K!

eat it CHUDS.

How long until steam chart gets deleted like youtube dislikes?

Anon, we did nothing. We just didn't buy it.
That is not evil, it is just simply refusing to buy something bad. Meaning it is Ubisoft's problem for offering a fairly mediocre product that had development costs exceedingly high while other companies were offering better stuff at the some or lower prices while having spent far lower in development.
The only ones at fault here are the dumbasses at Ubisoft that greenlight this stuff and then run their own ideas into the ground through so many different ways that you can confidently say the game is just bad. Simple as that.

Why is gungeon so high, thats a pretty old game.

GR Breakpoint that high

Huh? The hell happened here?

probably went on sale.

Some literally who blog nobody has heard of

"disn't show up"

You are brown op.

Probably one of the first things that will get killed after Gabe dies.

People are losing their jobs. People with families. People with children. People upon whom others depend to put clothes on their back and food on their table. Now they have nothing. Many of them will have to take jobs out of desperation at reduced pay which will impact their quality of life. They will have to move across the country. They will have to sell their homes at a loss. stop, my penis can't erect any harder

Bankruptcy

Tencent already bail them out resetera tranny.

It's knees didn't grow

half a million stardew copies in a single month

how the fuck did Ape do it?

Japan is in their famous civil war, called the Sengoku Period. Samurai fighting, rampant assassinations, China stops trading with Japan, and the Portuguese start meddling with introducing guns. I thought the sengoku period would have been a better setting for Assassin's creed with various provinces at war, and you would be a Ninja supporting the assassinations in the background. You know in Odyssey you side with Athens or Sparta, and participate in battles for territories? I think they should have improved that but with more factions, supporting daimyos for control of Japan. But they decided on a nigger instead

Incompetence is expensive. The credits for Expedition 33 is 7 minutes, the credits for Assassin's Creed Shadows is longer than your average feature length movie.

CONAN, WHAT IS BEST IN LIFE?

I don't believe that they have access to any of those numbers.

In a couple months. Its not like games fight for shelf space at walmart anymore, people can keep buying a game ten years out.

it was like 2 bucks

Bailout just extended their life by 2 years. If Ubi doesn't make a game people actually want to play (read: they can't), Tencent's gonna fully gobble them up and replace them with Nova in 2027.

not my problem

Concord was the most telling event about the truth of the modern audience that we could have asked for.

No piggybacking off of established franchises or legendary studios from the pre-woke times.
No rigging the game into "success" through bundles and giveaways.
Just the massive budget game and the marketing (very generous, and then well publicized by the attention it got), like any other normal release.

End result: Sales that would kill an Idea Factory-sized studio, twenty times more people defending it on social media than actual buyers of the game. If Concord doesn't make the head of your studio realize that the left wing activist trans flag in his username and 70k upvotes on his post whining about racism is probably a non-customer being upvoted by bots and other non-customers, your studio is headed by a retard/anti-gamer activist and deserves to go under.

I think the only thing that kept Shadows from being an even worse failure is that there's some people who were itching to shred Japs into bloody ribbons.

Why did stardew get so many sales? Was there a steam sale?

9k players on console right now

wao

The "Modern Audience" never shows up to anything. Because the "Modern Audience" doesn't exist. Never did and Never will.

Samefag here.

BTW, if you're a supposed business expert who's the CEO of a videogame company because you know so much more about business than the lifelong industry customers who've actually developed games, and you don't know the true ins-and-outs of the biggest media failure of all time which happened in your industry, you're an absolute fraud.

Man making streamer slop is like playing the lottery.

Unfortunately it kinda can't happen to GTA6. I have zero want to play it but you seemingly don't understand the cultural zeitgeist that is GTA. Your average every day consumer fucking loves GTA. People where losing their fucking shit at the leak and are doing so again after being told that it's getting pushed back to 2026. You can find people who play games almost religiously who don't know nor care about Assassin's creed. You won't find someone who plays games that doesn't know what GTA is.

It is the square cube law.

Seems fake as fuck. Why would Stardew Valley, a 12 year old game, randomly sell 600k copies?

randomly

its on at 4 different platforms on PC

Only count Steam

Don't even have any real number, just guessing

Why do retards take these fags seriously

You'd be correct if this was 15+ years ago. New, modern games, especially Ubisoft games cost hundreds of millions. They have or had before Tencent came along, not sure if they still do, thousands of employees. They need this game to sell likely triple that. Which was never ever going to happen. You can only hide your head in the sand for so long.

They were probably hoping to make at least half as much in sales compared to Ghost of Tsushima, especially since their game would be multi-plat from day one, but people really don't want to play as a Groid Samurai or a Woman that isn't super hot.

More trustworthy than Ubishills.

I never really understood this. I guess the franchise did a great job of establishing itself as a gaming face in the general public's eyes. Hell I still remember seeing commercials for Vice City on TV back in the day. But I can't for the life of me care about the series.

those figures are completely in line with the "player" numbers that ubi plastered all over the place. there's nothing shocking about this. find a better hobby. lose weight.

In complete isolation, you might be right. However:

-This represents a sharp downward trend in interest. Less people are excited about Assassin's Creed today than 18 years ago when the videogame market was significantly smaller and the franchise wasn't established.
-Ubisoft's budgets have spiraled out of control due to years of bad hiring and real talent being displaced. This is not an efficiently made AAA title from 2007. This is a $250M (on the low end) modern day clusterfuck.
-This is Ubisoft's flagship franchise. When everything else is going wrong (it is), this is supposed to be their lifeboat.
-This was their "break glass in case of emergency" premise. If it had been set in, say, Egypt, it probably would have done even worse.

It's not Concord, but this is still a dire disaster for Ubisoft.

Here's what we know for sure: The Steam numbers were abysmal, it didn't dominate the major stores, they're hiding behind vague, unorthodox benchmarks for success, and they won't provide sales numbers.

Safe conclusion: It fucking bombed.

stop discussing videogames on Anon Babble!!

are you retarded???

This is the pasta Lyonel!

Actually, Tencent can bailout from this deal by selling all of their stocks.
If they ever do that, it would trigger a chain reaction that would put ubi in even deeper shit.

Who the fuck is Aline Analytics?

[SAD NEWS] modern audience disn't show up for ass creed!

was going to buy AC shadows

find out it requires internet and the disc is a glorified paper weight

proceed to use money to buy other games instead

It's funny how Ubisoft can get people willing to support their games not support it.

Who the fuck wrote this garbage?
