If you haven't realized it yet, full priced games are $70+ and it's not just going to magically stop there. Obviously $40-50 games will bump up to $50-60 as well. Stardew was made by 1 guy with no reputation and was a new IP and made for PC first. The landscape for PC indie games is simply different. Mage is better than last game since all the basic attacks are free and you have a knockback AOE

Do higher level low tier nodes give you more material than low level versions or is it purely to get more experience from them?

not everything is about being deeper and having more complexity. Go learn an instrument if that's what you want. It's deeper and more mechanically complex and will literally improve your life 1000x more than any game ever could.
Or just accept that complexity is not the sole purpose of gaming.

game looks cute and comfy but I'm worried about it being piss easy and because of that, boring

When you rank up a job the game gives you a set of armor and the recipe to make a better version yourself since it doesn't have skills.

It's almost what I want, but the various systems and game loops lose interest for me when the fundamental gameplay is easy. I get it's a comfy game and that's not what it's going for, so I guess it just isn't for me. A shame, I'm glad there are anons here who like it though

Nta but games that require an excessive amount of prep time to do proper dungeoneering can be comfy in their own way

Bringing crafting characters along early to get their affinity up seems like the best thing to do. They are competent enough to dodge most attacks against the level 50 bosses in the poop shrines and if they die they are able to revive eachother then the SP regen spam when you are gathering is enough. Better to get their affinity done early so you can take advantage of it while leveling crafters and save the others for the endgame.
