Still not using ball mice

Ball mice are the mechanical keyboards of the mouse world. You get tactile feedback that no optical sensor can replicate. The weight, the smooth glide, the raw mechanical feeling.
Ball mice were made to last, not to be replaced every year like cheap chink mice.

I use a trackpad

i've had the same $10 wired laser mouse since 2014 and never had to scrape gunk out of its crevices

For me, it's balltop. Picrel is still a little small for my giant hands though.

zoomers will never know the hardships of having to overcook a fresh hardboiled egg yolk for the computer mouse each week

I personally just sanded a rock to a sphrere shape

his computer requires a mouse

his computer cannot be controlled entirely with just a keyboard

Lol, lmao

if you actually used one in your life you'd know exactly why your comparison is retarded and why they were awful.

DOS games kinda sucked before point and clicks desu

Ball mice were made to last

Bull-fucking-shit. The balls were made to be stolen during high school computer lab

Just piss out a kidney stone and use that. It's good for at least a year.

Huh I just used avocado pit

those weren't available here at the time

having to pull the ball out and swish it around in your mouth every few hours to clean it

I don't miss the maintenance but I liked the aesthetic

This makes me feel ancient
Or thrown at you or others

Quake and some cheap logitech ball mouse gave me rsi.

younger brother constantly loses the mouse ball because he can't help but take it out and forget where he put it

has done this dozens of times

I just put a potato in there, but small potatoes used to be free instead of premium hipster food

I think I got a $120 laser mouse in the early 2000s with 10,000dpi. It was nice

that's small potatoes to me

Contrarian bait posts like OP aside, it really shows what an indisputable upgrade optical mice were when there's no serious or notable contingent of people actively clinging to ball mice and claiming them to be superior like with mechanical keyboards. Mechanical boards outside of buckling springs largely went to shit anyway when Cherry MX won out over ALPS switches.

what do you do with that much dpi?

The first optical mice were trash. You had to have a gay little mat with a specific pattern in order for it to work. In this case ball mice were better.

I couldn't jive with that. The most pressing issue for me would be how goddamn small that mousepad is relative to the mouse. I'm spoiled with my modern deskmat.

this was me, i was the younger brother. used to take it out to play with it, my brother got pissed every time

(You) kinda suck...and blow~ ;3

A little physical and psychological violence is warranted sometimes.

fuck u this shit sucked ass

Nigga you smokin crack

You get tactile feedback that no optical sensor can replicate

It might feel better but optical sensors are superior performers.

Only buckling spring keyboards are the things that matter about old tech imo
They don't have any specific advantage for gaming, just feel better to use. I will have my reproduction model F soon.

I was born in 2004 and my first computer I used was my parent’s old windows XP PC they had in the attic

What is part 15 of FCC rules?
