shills drop trying to call a French game Japanese

I’d say Atelier is the better game. I personally found it to be more fun and enjoyable.
I dropped e33 halfway through. did not like it.

Steam reviews are never indicative of a game's actual quality.

Atelier Yumia was the better one by far. Not only it was way deeper mechanic-wise (even when it was more streamlined compared to previous Atelier games) but Its action game mechanics were organic and coherent compared to E33's messy parry-or-die mechanics.
Writing-wise Yumia's plot wasn't groundbreaking and kind of inoffensive but unlike E33's it was coherent and didn't rely on cheap plot twists every few hours.

no reviews are ever indicative of a game quality

Atelier Yumia failed because her yuyumies weren't big.

I'll put it like this:
People bought Yumia because they wanted to play Yumia
People bought E33 because they wanted to shit on the AAA industry, not because they wanted to play E33.

Still I liked Ryza's games better.

lmao, aterliertrannies are SEETHING really hard

For all its faults I prefer Atelier Yumia

God do I not care for Yumia or Ryza,

I wish we could go back to Arland or the Dusk trilogy.

I wonder if these two had similar budgets.

I also absolutely hated Firis because of its open world.

Not at all. Even when they pretend to be poor indie devs, Clair Obscur clearly had AAA budget; the director is a nepo baby who used his money to fund a vanity project, while AY was a victim of Bamco giving a shoestring budget to everything that isn't Dragon Ball-related.

Clair Obscur clearly had AAA budget

I really doubt that, the game is full of clear cut corners, and it's clear they ran out of 60% of the money after Act 1.

AAA doesn't run out of money or has cut corners

It's like you've never played a Bethesda game.

Try a good game instead

That's why OP is talking about Yumia, anon.

Why are you making shit up? The game's development is very well documented, the two investors who financed it are known by name, and they were tight on budget.

lol I liked Yumia but it's not a good game, mechanically

Havent touched atelier in 3 weeks or so. Think im officially dropping it soon.

If it wasn't you wouldn't have gotten all the achievements, anon.
Don't let the pretentious parrysloppers convince you of the opposite.

Clair Obscure by far.
Yumia is literally your typical ubisoft open world sloppa, but with anime girls (so it gets a pass here).

t. beaten both

ubisoft open world sloppa

But enough about Expedition 33

I'm not into dei faggotry, I will go for Atelier but don't spend money on any of them.

You can enjoy a game and recognize its flaws, anon.

Haven't played Yumia and it's probably a good game too, but look at that price. In my country it's literally twice as expensive as E33, and I'm talking about the standard, cheapest editions. And has DLCs.
Even if it's as good as E33 (doubt), I'm not playing half of a game, that is without DLCs, and I'm sure as fuck not buying it until I can get the whole thing for 25% of the current price, because that's about what I'd evaluate the game's worth. And that, 25% with all DLCs, will still be only a bit lower than E33's full price.

E33 is cheap because it's a bad game so it needs to compete with price. Yumia is by far the superior game, and the DLC is cosmetic so you can ignore it.
Price and quality are synonymous.

Price and quality are synonymous.

Damn, you must absolutely love Ubisoft, Activision, EA and other corporations that make AAAA games.

I choose yumia. I don't care what anyone says.

I have trouble playing anything with anime graphics. Just seems lazy and cheap to me

How is the crafting though, I actually enjoyed the synthesis system and I'd do multiple playthroughs just to craft some cool shit.

You have to be an actual retard. Atelier Yumia was fucking dogshit.

I played the Yumia demo and simply couldn't stomach the anime dialog; which is weird because I play anime games. I think Yumia's "apologizes for everything" personality during the first five minutes was way too much for me.
The few of the combat I tried during it didn't help things; it legit felt like dogshit.

I only played Yumia and have no interest in E33, but it's almost certainly E33
Yumia has dumbed down the crafting so that the optimal way to make items is to use the auto craft button which will usually make maxed out 999 quality items. And combat consists of using a single item and instantly winning every fight, even the final boss.
The writing and story are okay I guess.

Atelier Yumia but only for my agp~! <3

People who think Dustborn looks appealing enjoyed it, people who thought Atelier Yumia looked good did not enjoy it.
Reviews work, you're just not smart enough to understand anything that takes more than one mental step.

It's true when you compare Yumia to E33.

game A is more expensive than game B, therefore it's better

n-no, game C isn't better than game A, even though it's more expensive, because uhhh... it's just different, okay?

Also, you don't know which is better, because you haven't played both. Just like me. I only said that Yumia doesn't look to me like a game that should cost that much.

Hundred Line

wanting to fuck yumia is not a mechanic and with how long your dick is it ain't deep either

Atelier's been dead for years now.

really dude, thats such a shame, the crafting was the best part of the series

but it's almost certainly E33

If you played it you wouldn't say this.
Yumia's simplified crafting is still better than E33's passive mechanics.
