the virgin i need a 120 hour game to barely kill an elder brain

VS

I need to kill the elder brain as a sidequest in act 2 I have 20 minutes to spare

file.jpg - 1280x720, 137.67K

Guys tell me your thoughts on this game. Is it good? Singleplayer?

its one of the best games ever made and has infinite single player content

sex with elder brains

It's actually good because a fight against 20 goblins doesn't take half an hour of each enemy lagging and going some shit every turn.
Has actual build autism.
And a fuckton of custom campaigns.
Can play single or with friends, plus persistent servers.
I have over 1700 hours in it.

calm down drizzt

infinite single player content

if you have low expectation, there are not that many good one like : A dance with rogue, Swordflight, aielund,Tyrants of the Moonsea and a few other but you can finish most of the good stuff in 500h i think.

It's mid as hell especially compared to Dei3 but can be enjoyed if you have friends ig

Prophet is really good.

whats dei3

larianslop with no sales

Dragonirian thread

And nameschizo came to cry about his obsession again

can you please speak like a white person

It's the worst game I've got hundreds of hours playing. It's one of the jankiest clunkiest implementations of 3rd ed D&D but the toolset is so good it's worth the jank because no other game has so many full RPG adventures to play

No the single player is absolute dog shit, multiplayer is where the game shines.

So literally a better version of BG3

dunno, never played BG3

it's unplayable but people bought it for the multiplayer, OP's referencing BG3's horrible story and progression

Ah, but of course.
It's a game made by larian in collaboration with WOTC, which is extremely fucking woke and garbage 5e, and they tried to go for a tabletop simulation, but ended up making a WEG.
The game sold poorly, but they try to keep up the image of success by hiding the sales numbers and pretending all the early access players playing simultaneously is a sign of high sales after release, while to anyone with above room temperature IQ the flop is obvious.
Is this answer to your satisfaction, oh shitskin hungry for a crumb of whiteness?

Bioware sucks. They always sucked.
Retard games for retards.

Yes and no, shit main quest game, great DLCs and mods

thanks

Yes.
The base campaign is really bland, and you'll notice the repetition, but the two expansions are chef's kiss.
Play the second game too. It's not a sequel but it does happen in the same chronology and there is at least one beloved character from the first game you can interact with.

The game sold poorly

The game had 850k people playing at once and has had 100k peak players a day since it's launch 2 years ago lmao even if you dislike the game let's not spead lies like a paid indian

the enchanced edition is coming out soonTM

file.jpg - 686x386, 74.24K

Please be good.
I hope they to what beamdog did and remove (or increase) some hardcoded limits and shit.
That game is my jam.
Maybe that's the excuse I need to finally play Mysteries of Westgate.

Tholapsyx2.png - 1491x724, 662.86K

It haz teh peaks! Doesn't mean it's good desu desu. Minecraft has been going since Alpha release in 2009 still boasting 500k average.

They are doing some changes to the engine as the game has controller support now and deck support.
I have really high hopes but just having it on steam with proper workshop support would be enough for me

I have both the cd rom version and Diamond version of NWN and I liked it had no idea what I was doing but it was fun granted I grew up with 1E :@ my dad even has a star wars DND thing.

one of my favourite games ever, the paladin class in this game is broken beyond repair it's so op

Why not just play modules for NWN1? Other than full party control and quick cast menu, the first game feels much better to play and doesn't look like Shrek 2.

the game has controller support now

What?
Holy shit, they are digging deep into the engine then.
Alright, fine, not necessarily, but still.
Damn, sick.
I still have my installation with Kaedrin's Pack, the Tome of Battle Mod, Prestige Paladin, and a bunch of other mods I merged manually.
Now I'm really looking forward to it.

had no idea what I was doing but it was fun

Man, that's the way.
Figuring the game out by yourself is such a joy. Back in the day me and my bud would spend our break in high school talking about magic items and builds and story beats and shit.
Good times.
It's thanks to these games that I was very easily able to sit down and play a full D&D campaign back in 2020 despite never having played an actual TTRPG in my 30some years of life. Most of the basics translated to the 5th version of the game really well.
Since then D&D has become my favorite hobby and I'm even playing 3.5e.
Fuck I love it.
I still like the second game overall better than the first, it's a better single player experience generally speaking, but both games are such great packages.

pretending early access players playing at the same time is good sales

Just as predicted.

lies

prove this is a lie by posting the official sales report made by Larian in written form.

I still want to pickup the Capcom titles from the arcade games but yeah I enjoy the series I even liked Baldur's gate DA and 2 on console also Champions of Norrath :D though I wasn't good at it I enjoyed DnD online too it probably would have been easier if I found peeps to play with but oh well @_@;

Any woke changes?

inb4 bivil is now a nigger

its not out yet and probably none
its either made by beamdog or aspyr
here is the steam db page : steamdb.info/app/2738630/

but the two expansions are chef's kiss.

I keep seeing this and it's honestly baffling. The main campaign is bland but balanced, Shadows of the undertide is garbage and hordes of the underdark is an unbalanced mess that also has the gall to shit on the main campaign and its MC while not providing anything better.

DnD online

That shit is till going, by the way.
It's a great game, and it's pretty solo friendly too, not that you have to pay solo. There's a small community of die hards that will help you learn the ropes, and thanks to the reincarnation system, there's people playing characters of every level.
It's a pretty good game.

Wanted to add to my post without trying to long wall of text I liked Neverwinter on steam too 1st achievement I tried for was getting Lore Master, even with Perfect World Entertainment ruining it with item shop advantage crap still did.

Neverwinter

I couldn't get into that game at all.
And I really did try, but I remember it feeling so basic and barebones.
I just ended up playing D&D Online instead.

I'm kinda salty that Infinite Dungeons is not actually that infinite. You can play it infinitely but the content begins looping at some point.
But if you play PRC Infinite Dungeons then that shit is insane, I have never been literally so sucked into a game before.
Quite janky at times due to NWN engine but very much fun and literally hundreds of hours of funtime.

I'm not even affiliated with PRC in any way but please everyone take a look at it and play it, it is fucking awesome.
nwnprc.com/manual/

Has actual build autism.

The good kind of build autism, not the actual drooling nonverbal autism kind of build autism like Pathfinder.

:3 though I played English mmos too also played chinese|japanese|korean I just liked seeing numbers go up.

PRC

Bless those guys.
Have they updated their shit to make use of the last EE like being able to multiclass with 8 classes and being able to use the spell book UI with custom spellbooks?
I added those to my own game but it was still slightly incomplete, it would be nice if the PRC team themselves would update their mod to support those.

I had looked at Pathfinder an such for my fix on ps4 for wasn't too sure on them. >-@; I have played Divinity but not DOS an unfortunately only the EE versions of BG an Icewind are on the console I think?

The problem with PRC is one of the main draws of the game is custom content and for most part it isn't compatible with them

I really can't see much difference, besides the fact that Pathfinder is much easier and more boring due to the absurd amount of subclass options. I really like how I have to suffer in order to efficiently dip into monk in my builds, and in Kingmaker I could just pick a monk scaling with CHA instead of WIS. Instant uninstall wizard, don't they dare treat me like a retard.

I did too. From Conquer, to Mu, to Flyff, to fucking Angels Online. I must have played every f2p MMO out there released before 2015 or so.

Pathfinder is really cool.
Start with kingmaker because Wrath adds a lot of shit to it.

Didn't the PRC come with a tool to add it as a dependency to other modules?
Or is it because of things like CEP making the module incompatible with the PRC?

I'll try PF if I see it in stores :3 also same

Have they updated their shit to make use of the last EE like being able to multiclass with 8 classes

Yes.

and being able to use the spell book UI with custom spellbooks?

The divine casters have been.

The ToB mod always broke for me whenever I tried it. It sucked because it should have been a fluid inplementation.

No one said it was good I said it sold well which it did.

Post statistics that are officially stamped that no company actually releases

Yea ok retard. The game sold around 3m during early access and over 10million more since release. Larian has confirmed it to multiple press releases. Keep desperately doomposting though they made too much money to fail now and are putting out 2 more projects while you're in your basement brown and seething

I dun trust WOTC but if Larian can remove that junk next game I will play it, I haven't played BG3 yet but based off things I saw it has glowing red flags

Yeah there are some compatibility mods, such as PRC + Infinite Dungeons. But some modules are just strictly not available with PRC unless you know how to patch it yourself.

I installed this game three years ago and I still haven't opened it

MultiRana.jpg - 1024x440, 41.86K

The game sold around 3m during early access

That was reported

and over 10million more since release.

That was never reported
I have no reason to think it sold more than 5-whatever mil copies total, which in reality is 2 mil because early access money was reinvested into development.

Do it. It's pretty fun.

Hooo boy. Time to redownload it then.

It was fully implemented, but it also had a couple of odd bugs here and there. It did work for the most part though and I played several full playthroughs using it.
Maneuvers are really OP.

It's fine with friends. It is filled to the brim with deislop but the game is fair you can kill anyone you want as any sandbox game. I'll never understand the people who have 2000+ hours in the game solo most of the time it's women too.

b-b-but they are making something

Okay, and? Sure it was enough for larian to surive, but it's a split between 4 companies - them, Tencent, WOTC and Hasbro, and everyone on WOTC who was working on bg3 was laid off.

There is a chance that you can fucked up your character leveling up. I think there are at least 2 moments in the first campaign, 0 in the second and ~10 in 3rd

Don't be so clumsy to baldur's gate 3
the only reason why we hate it is it's too gay af and pretty reasonable

NOOOOOO THE GAME WAS A FLOP BECAUSE I SAID SO THERE'S NO WAY IT HAD ALMOST A MILLION PEOPLE PLAYING IT ON STEAM ALONE THIS GAME FAILED IT BEING THE MOST TALKED ABOUT AND MOST PLAYED GAME OF 2023 AND EARLY 2024 WAS A PSYOP

You seem retarded idc about your opinion it's a pointless thing to lie about their sales when their critical success has been proven time and time again. I'm not some larian simp.I play them because my friends like the games and I can enjoy anything with them, but people like you are obnoxious vehemently denying reality because you're butthurt your favorite trannyslop didn't win goty.

I didn't mean to sound mean if it came off like that >-<; I just don't really like the virtue signaling nonsense pushed through my media constantly.

I like bg3 but they fucked up bigtime by setting the lvl cap at like 13 or whatever it is
Both NWN and WOTR proved you can do epic levels well

i like NWN

i like BG3

I am just a simple enjoyer of videogames.

I kept having maneuvers break and become permanently unusable. Don't know why.

I don't give a fuck about sup30 hr positive review spam and pajeets keeping the game launched in main menu, sorry.

Sales + concurrents COMBINATION is the only metric of success, of you hide literally anything it's to hide a flop.

I played sorc in both bonus campaigns and finished it. That means you can play literally anything.

Yea the development costs were also split between multiple companies there's no way you think all 4 companies did not walk away with a massive profit bg3 is the most successful DND game to date by far. Wotc laying off people was not just bg3 relates they laid people off from a lot of sectors mainly MTG

mentioning goty

I do not give a fuck about gay journo opinion either by the way

jury.png - 880x966, 223.7K

I like bg3 but they fucked up bigtime by setting the lvl cap at like 13

5E is ass. Also the way Larian build their games makes them hyper complex on a mechanical level. All other D&D games we've had before BG3 were extremely simplified versions of their editions of D&D.

Okay, post sales and I will believe you.
That is "SALES", not "players".

How is a statement of playing a spellcaster in 3ed supposed to be any sort of proof?

So literally a better version of BG3

in what planet

WoTC did the usual corporate thing and fired people before Christmas so they can pump their CEO bonuses. MTG and BG3 were the only two things that were profitable for Hasbro/WoTC.

WoTC literally got 90 million clean as a % of BG3 profits just for giving the Baldur's Gate name and the rights to use D&D

This part actually pisses me off since BG3 is good only thanks to Larian, when WoTC makes something they make slop like their Online D&D.

This one

not a single nigger

not a single faggot

not a single ugly woman

not a single tranny

not a single whiff of leftoid talking points

not a turn based slop

I played wizard + pale master 1/1
In the second campaign, I struggled to beat antmen and to damage iron golem I had to use baby beholder familiar and running around the table.
And it was an easy one

there is a whole side quest chain about immigrant druids being targeted and then framed for crimes
there are niggers as well, all in the main campaign
have you even played it?

Retarded ESL.

Because playing sorc in sou + hotu is the biggest challenge you can get in NWN, unless you count retarded shit like playing pale master

Embarrassing jeetposting begging for something that doesn't exist and crying that players don't = sales when talking about STEAM. Literal brownoid retards seething at the success of something they don't like. CEO said they sold 15m copies never mentioned players unlike most studios who lie about their monetary gains. Larian has made hundreds of millions in profit after dev costs and no amount of HRT raging on here will change that.

Sorcerer is easy as fuck to play you retard.

Yea I mean it's the main reason Larian is cutting ties with WoTC and honestly I like DoS 2 combat way over the traditional DnD system. The best DnD game is Solasta anyway. I'm hoping DoS3 or whatever their other project is actually has a better and more free combat system/ better open sandbox. You could do alot in bg3

muh crate stack

But the sandbox overall felt lackluster

sou and hotu got magic immune enemies, retarded rest rules and sorc can't swap spells like wiz, so going blind is cherry on top. Meanwhile DD gets a supply of awesome items, because we got retarded kobold companion.

Solasta is awful. The best D&D game is Knights of the Chalice 2 and it's not close.

It has a good coom mod so yes

They're not immune to on-hit stacking or buffs. In NWN sorcs get to change out their entire spell list on levelup.

Being able to change out spells on level up isn't really useful for trying to beat specific encounters, it's just to kick out spells that scale poorly.

Easier than how absoawooeutely broken Bards are in 5e? :3

biggest reason to buy it is because Beamdog claimed they implemented custom spell books so you can play caster classes properly from mods

this was a blatant fucking lie and all they did was implement the classes from the dlc like harper scount and then started closing topics if people asked why they lied

Glad I pirated it

Brand new game I've never even heard of amd 45$ price tag kinda steep. Sell me on it

Almost every melee encounter in the game can be beaten by buffing with Fire Shield and Acid Sheath and watching them kill themselves. Almost every encounter that's not melee can be beaten with straightforward spell choices.

In NWN sorcs get to change out their entire spell list on levelup.

So? How that's related to the problem of going blind? Do you get level up each time you encounter something new?

They're not immune to on-hit stacking or buffs

They are immune to spells under certain spell level. And guess what? Sorc spell level is slowed in comparison to wizard, first time you encounter golems with immunity you literally can't do anything to them.
ANY other class will be easier, that's a fact.

first time you encounter golems with immunity you literally can't do anything to them.

Wrong. Sucks to suck.

Deekin is based you faggot

He even comes back in Neverwinter Nights 2.

ceo never lies

Uh huh.

sales report doesn't exist

Nuff said. Happy shills keep admitting it.

Not another Drizzt D:

It's not wrong. I played NWNEE not long ago.

This is a NWN thread you cucks take your fucking shitflinging somewhere else

Yeah it is. You're incompetent, is the problem.

Cant imagine trusting beamdog after they introduced pages worth of glitches into bg2

looks ugly as sin, but still has a very interesting atmosphere. the single player is not great, but it's not the worst thing ever. there are a ton of user generated things to play with and a great tool to build your own. overall it's good and I do recommend it if you like DnD 3.

They did implement custom spellbooks, it's just that the mods needed to be updated to make use of the new functionality.
See
Dunno if they lied at first, but right now, that's a thing.

They announced 15 million sales over a year ago you drooling retard

Played NWN2 OC and MotB recently and just want to say people who recommended me to skip the OC and go straight to MotB were absolutely wrong and I'm glad I didn't listen to them. Even though OC is pretty shit (with some bright spots here and there), MotB just hits hard when you know everything your character and others went through, meeting Ammon Jerro wouldn't hit at all obviously, and in general you really need the knowledge of the OC to fully appreciate and understand MotB IMO. Don't get me wrong, playing OC after the the Trial was an absolute fucking torture, but MotB made it worth it.

MotB just hits hard when you know everything your character and others went through

Exactly.
That's why I always recommend people play the OC at least one.
Same goes for the first NWN to a lesser degree, but that's absolutely the case for NWN2. MotB is a direct continuation of it and so is SoZ actually.

Competent enough to finish the game on hc rules.

so is SoZ

SoZ is completely detached from both the OC and MotB, at best it has a couple of nods towards two of the OC characters.
