Can someone tell me why my performance on PC is so terrible? I redownloaded the game for the first time in ages and the game is running like complete ass no matter what settings I use. I remember running this game perfectly at 4k on a 1080 Ti, now I'm on a 3080 Ti.

They basically have. The vast majority of matches I've gotten into are blatantly hacked servers, usually Theed and Hoth. They make the objectives invincible/disappear and then teleport every enemy player simultaneously to them to farm thousands of kills as a hero character. Or just fly around in a fighter with invincibility hacks on so they can run you over and strafe spawns nonstop. Just because you can get into the servers and play online doesn't you should bother at this point, it's fucked and nowhere near as fun as it once was.

I haven't noticed any issues in co-op or supremacy, GA matches are always fucked though.

The gunplay in this game was always horrible, and has been nerfed even further into the ground over the years on top of having bad quality servers with major rubber banding and hit detection issues. The devs really did a lot of bad to this game that no one ever talks about. They really fucking ruined Heroes vs Villains mode and Lightsaber combat too.

I like this game but refuse to play it because most of the time i get put into NA lobby with high ping. I rarely get EU ping. Probably most people playing it are NA faggs

You're right that EA's Battlefront games are easily better than the originals (thanks to the shitty classic collection a year or two ago for finally shutting down the nostalgia over those). But the Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor games are great too. None of Disney's movies, shows, books, or comics have been any good though and none of it will ever be canon.

I dont hate the Jedi games but Dark Forces/Jedi Knight are heaps better, and thats not nostalgia talking, I played them for the first time a year ago

The very first battlefront is the best game by a large margin. The gunplay is so satisfying and the focus is on normal soldiers shooting each other. 2s gunplay felt arcadey and the special units destroyed the cohesion of a team of soldiers working together with just guns and nades and the occasional special weapon.

The gunplay in this game just sucks, enemies are too spongy and the netcode is bad. It has very little to do with grinding, unlocking other guns doesn't change that shooting just never felt right in this game to begin with. EA's first Battlefront had much, much better feeling gunplay.

They included some kind of perfect block mechanic where you would reflect some damage back at people if you blocked an attack at the last moment and so what would happen is you would fight some annoying sperg that would pick Darth Maul, they'd rush you down, and you could just block them to death and they would have no clue what's happening.

Clipping through the map and moving at very high speeds

Sniping through the terrain or buildings using aim hacks to instantly kill everyone as they spawn across the map

Two instances of someone playing as Darth Vader and Anakin teleporting the entire enemy team to their position simultaneously and instantly killing everyone as they appear

Cheat that makes it impossible for you to aim or look around when they are near you so they can easily kill you from behind or the sides

Maps with AT-AT and MTE objectives have them moved beneath the map where they can't advance or be damaged so the match never ends

this game pushed the frostbite engine to its absolute limit. I'm not a huge fan of the gameplay in general, but it's objectively one of the best looking games out RIGHT NOW and it came out fucking 8 years ago. So much better in art direction and fidelity than all the shit that's reliant on any of the new upscaling tech, and it can run well on 1080/vega 64 level hardware.

Star wars just generally sucks. A new hope is actual schlock garbage. The empire strikes back is heavily carried by the action segments. I haven't rewatched return of the jedi yet because I stopped watching empire after like 20 minutes. The prequels are all basically new hope quality or worse. Virtually nothing happens in any of these movies and the plot is a plodding mess of "and then this happened, and then this happened, and then this happened" with no real rhyme or reason. There is a huge amount of content a BF3 could be made with. You've not even thought about this question at all before posting.

Modded matches on Kyber is currently the definitive way to play the game, which sucks because it's still trapped behind Patreon/discord bullshit. Its pretty crazy how hard Battlefront+ goes by adding all the new heroes, reinforcements, guns, equipment ect. The only thing though is that it exposes how insanely unbalanced some maps are. Even with all the new firepower the rebel alliance gets, they still absolutely stomped on maps like Scarif

It's a pretty decent game and star wars is just great. It has enough elements of what Star Wars used to be to make it pretty good. The maps are great, it has the music, it's fun, and there's no rival to it, aside from mods for other games.
