Which way white man?
Which way white man?
HD and widescreen hacks whenever applicable.
Not autistic enough to care about stretched UI.
Bottom doesn't look bad
On my playstation twenty something years ago and now a pristine but faded memory. I guarantee you my memory of the game when I played it as a kid on launch is going to be better than your experience with it now.
Top.
Reminder that the only reason why we have 16:9 is because of Asians.
I don't think the best aspect ratio is 4:3 either unless it's old media of course.
The best aspect ratio is 3:2 or 5:3
why aren't you playing it on ps1 with a crt?
original ratio aspect is the correct answer.
4:3 because the game was designed for that aspect ratio.
Steam deck, because I'm not a third worlder
like this
The only white post ITT.
Why is your TV so far and high up
my eyes are in line with the middle of the tv when I sit in my chair
You're still looking up
I'm not, why do you think that? it's only like 3.5 to 4 feet off the ground
The camera is pointed up
the camera is pointed down, actually, but also not at head height
The camera is pointed up
holy shit lol please be trolling
4:3 is more aesthetically pleasing. The widescreen meme needs to end. Now.
Widescreen hacks, as long as there aren't too many visual bugs like pop-in. If there are HD packs to so the UI doesn't look stretched even better. But it's retarded playing with borders when you can easily fill it out.
PS2 hooked to a shitty flatscreen stuck in the corner of the room and shitty sound bar
Cringe as fuck setup. Get a crt or emulate, this half measure is just the worst of both worlds.
Top if you're European
Bottom if you're American
what handheld is that?
widescreen + 60hz
I'm good with this.
not playing on ps1 like the creator intended
yikes
Comfy pikachu
Which way white man?
I get the actual hardware for the games I want to play.
Then get a flashcart/mod it.
chinkstation 69
prefering to deal with terrible load times, no fast forwarding, no save states, game compatibility issues with flashcarts
Yikes.
The way it was meant to be played anon.
Sorry your zoomer mind can't comprehend it.
game compatibility issues with flashcarts
This hasn't been true for a very long time, it just sounds like you are too retarded to set up a flashcart.
it's a decent tv running component cables through a meh scaler, and it's not a soundbar it's a center speaker for my 5.1 setup, you can see the left and right's in the picture and sub is behind pikachu
also I have a crt but it's just not practical to have upstairs so I leave in my living room for anything pre-hdmi that I haven't modded yet
Polystation 8
Flashcarts are cope, just admit you're yet another retro bandwagoner and got priced out
I would play on ps1 but PAL consoles still have trouble with ntsc games even when chipped it seems, I'll probably import one if I care more in the future
Flashcarts are convenience
Why bother changing carts when the whole fucking library is already there?
Sounds like you are salty you paid $200 for a cart whilst I paid nothing LMAO
Anon Babble hates my scanlines but this is how I play psx
that looks okay though, it looks a bit like an actual slot mask, something you might've actually played on as a kid
idk anon people lose their shit whenever I post screenshots. I always try to mix up the scanline settings between games to get a fresh experience, but I couldn't imagine playing the pure unedited video feed. It looks like shit compared to how things looked back in the 90s
going for consumer look
scanlines
vertical scanlines
Anyone shitting on you is right
Just use crt 1tap or lottes for a consumer crt look
I very very rarely emulate anymore but even then I'd usually only go as far as using a nice bilinear filter, some scanline filters can look really nice but in the end it just makes me feel like I'm experiencing a second hand version of the real thing, so I stick with a light blur instead.
What the fuck does that even mean?
You get the image compositing of a crt without the autism and EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE raping your ears. This is literally a golden age of emulation you faggot
cool, but as I said rarely emulate, like once a year at most for a game that doesn't run on a console with a translation patch etc
damn what a cool guy
is it possible to use these filters on a normal pc game? I play a lot of starcraft broodwar and it would be cool to get filters applied to it
reshade
I guess the next question is that going to crater my fps and cause a lot of input lag... or get me banned
no and no, and I don't know, but probably not
Steam Deck
4:3 as the developers intended
manletbros...
kinda cringe to bring race into it ngl
Which way white man?
4:3 on the RP2S
holy based
My time has come.
Lookin' good!
Pretty sure there's actual widescreen and not stretched for DS games, I know you can do that when you run them on a modded 3DS
Needs jeggings.
the only people who buy these portable emulator devices don't actually go outside. just use your computer.
get a better shelf. that shit is buckling under the weight of a flimsy flatscreen
it's fine, it only weighs 4kg, each shelf is rated for 20kg
any system pre 360/ps3 I play 4:3 and I recommend that unless you dont have a big crt.
Not as bad
Just use a fucking Bluetooth controller.
I appreciate it when widescreen hack makers put in extra effort to make UI elements not stretched.
No you!
The only way: Up your ass.
