it depends on the job really, if it's some software developer job for 500k a year then yeah I imagine competition is fierce and they'll pick the best applicant, but I have went to interviews for just minimum wage manual labour jobs and it's always been the interviewer asking the usual questions like what was I doing in these gap years, and I would just reply with I dunno nigga just fucking around and shit, they'd just sigh, and then hire me anyways because they ain't finding any niggas doing these shit jobs, like fuck the niggas that turn up are all alcoholics or drug addicts, half the time not even showing up on the first day, just being sober and appearing to work on time is already more than enough for them, old niggas interviewing is always funny, they always got some fucking dead eyes and give up halfway through the interview, but I also love when the young hr bunnies do the interview, I just flirt with them the whole time and no bullshit, like they do the usual "what are some bad qualities you have" or whatever and I just say "nigga is this shit where I supposed say I work too hard or some shit lmao" then she replies with "I don't know hehe" then ask for her number and they just give me lmao

I spent 2 years unemployed after college.
My mom forced my ass to work at a local small business and I eventually made my way to a real corporate job at a tech company (that owns a gaming related brand, funny enough)
I'd tell you that it's all gonna work out some day but to be honest I got lucky as fuck and I thank my mom for getting it all started.

What if I've done 4 months of work in the past 12 years? How do I lie that hard, especially when they'll expect I'll have experience and not be completely new.
Can't do that where I live. If you work then the government registers where you worked from what date until what date and you have to show the official records when going to an interview. You can't just say "I worked at X for 5 years" or whatever. They'll say "show the records then" and then they'll see that I lied.
