I played this four years ago and its fairly classic and the handcrafted visuals looked really good but I didnt find the game engaging at all, that combined with Square trying to charge full fucking price for a port really killed it for me at least

Port of a mobile game being sold for 50 bucks several years after it came out. 15 to 20 would've been a fair price. I'll eventually play it whenever it gets a commensurate discount. There are so many games to play that I'm in absolutely no rush to buy them when they come out, doubly so when I deem them to be overpriced.
because I pirated it yesterday, played it for a few hours, it just got more and more gay and stupid, and then I uninstalled it. I can appreciate what they tried to do with Denuvo, but I would have just refunded this trash within the first two hours any way due to uncertainty aka certainty that it would probably get worse
wow, considering some of the earlier tracks balance new and nostalgia, this is like the dude just straight up could not care by the time the game was done. it could also be the whole techno/mechteria thing that he wanted it to sound like a machine. it's still complete ass, though.
people didn't give it a chance because they hear it's a mobile game so it must be trash. it's a good game. the battle system is excellent, the boss battles are extremely well designed. the story is interesting.
what's wrong with it? the part at 0:55 is cool. it's not a masterpiece soundtrack but there are some good songs. I liked this one:

Cuz he has competition and the industry is not the same as it was during his peak he has to make a outstanding fun product before dying to preserve his legacybtw

I like it, but I hate gimmicks that FORCE you to conform to how they want you to fight a particular boss, also not crazy about the gimped exp after whatever level increments

I do wish you could select which themes you want from each music option too, it feels kinda dumb that for every track in ffpr, there's only the handful arbitrarily chosen
I do like the combat though, and it's cool to fight hordes all at once

he can innovate, he was just traumatized by the box office bomb so wont go near anything risky ever again. listen to some of his earlier interviews, he was super excited about where the technology was going and wanted to take advantage of it. now he doesnt care and just makes mobile games to pay the bills, while he surfs in hawaii

I'm still interested in it, I've just got hella games to play as it is. I like the idea behind the gimmick just being like turning off random encounters with a long-term consequence, sounds just not novel enough but nothing too crazy to break the mold.
Didn't even know it existed, but I checked out the steam page and it looks neat!
