Well, Kangaskhan kept evolving into Kangaskhan indefinitely, and there is no end to that, so I needed to try something different.

I instead decided to catch Blue, who is now a Pikachu.

My caught Pikachu is now a 3TrainerPoke! Hurray!

Presumably it's causing overflow/underflow and that's why everything is scrambled, I'm not surprised that it hasn't crashed but I am surprised that it hasn't hit a nullpointer error and softlocked the game.

That would explain it, it's impressive there's placeholder failsafes for so many objects despite early Pokemon being so buggy.

You can add Missingno. to your team in Showdown, it's pretty frail and goes down easily
