Given that the next gen Xbox home console will be Zen 5 UNDA compared to the dockable handheld which will be Zen 5c RDNA 3.5+, that home console will be $1000+. The PS6 using Zen 6 UDNA will be $1000+, the PS handheld using Zen 6c UDNA is going to be $700+. It's over, only the $450 Nintendo Switch 2 and the $500 dockable Xbox handheld will sell during the 10th generation.

Even then, the whole brand is shifting to revolve around Game Pass rather than a console. Nintendo opening the door for $80 as a base price actually helps them in that way because people will see an $80 game they can instead play day one on a $20/month rental service and think they're getting a crazy deal. Doom: The Dark Ages is $70 but still kind of illustrates what I mean. People will buy into subscriptions more as a way to "not miss out." and as much as I hate the subscription model, Xbox is currently giving the biggest value out of theirs compared to anyone else.
