sanding down character identities by removing everyone's weaknesses so everyone plays the same auto-pilot 50/50 casino gameplan
removing execution barriers from characters while also nerfing the things that were behind the execution barrier in the first place so not only did people spend years learning a character for them to suddenly make it easier, the thing they had to learn it for isn't even worth using anymore and is just completely removed from the character identity that attracted people to the character
Say they are buffing sidesteps and focusing on lateral defense specifically, then proceeds to give every single character a move that tracks sidesteps, is safe to throw out whenever you feel like, can lead to a combo and also cooks your dinner

The frame data is fucking cracked, so many things are plus on block now including Bryan's i20 heat hatchet kick that wallsplats.

The is the most baffling issue here, Capcom has been releasing fighting game collection for as long as I remember, SNK as well, and they are still releasing collections to this day, not even just collections but re-re-releases as well.

the fastest move (with the exception of yoshi flash) is 10 frames for jabs, but the fastest combo starter punishes are usually 13 frames or higher, historically most strong lows were -14 so they would be a genuine risk
Unfortunately they didn't try at all on the pc version. You'd think after gundam evolution was only alive thanks to the pc market they would put in a bit of effort. It's still doing well on the playstation though.

-10 you can punish with a jab for a little bit of damage
-12 you can generally punish into an advantageous position like far knockdown
-13, some characters can launch
-15, all characters can launch
It is less to do with the speed and more to do with the risk-reward. -12 is not launch punishable.
