Switch 2 Tech Specs

custom processor made by Nvidia

Way to admit it's a 500$ tablet with a 7yo hardware

1440p 120fps

it literally is a custom chip designed for switch 2, therefore it's brand new.

ps4 level hardware for $450 and games/ports from past decade charged at $90

LMFAO

ps4 level hardware

4k 60fps and 1440p 120fps

lmao even the ps5 cant do this

ps4 level hardware

in the palm of your hand

sounds great tbqh

games at $90

this is aids however, fuck that

We already know it's based on Turing architecture so it's hardly new.

2-6 hour battery

This does this mean it will be like steamdeck, and have 2 hours on 3d games that push hardware, and 6 hours on 2d ganes, instead of a solid 5 hours like the OLED?

Tendi didn't even pay for the newest hdmi standard?

I mean, we basically already knew most this from the shipping manifest leaks

2 hour battery life

3 hour charging time

battery only marginally bigger than a mobile phone.

What.

wifi 6

huh, neat

The custom processor is so based for Nintendo to do it

That is output resolution. Rendering resolution is different anon

We still missing official confirmation of the clocks and memory

This is literally the best spec you can expect from a handheld

Yes it will be similar to Switch 1. If you want better battery life you will have to wait for revisions.

2 hours of battery life rough estimate

Mash old tech together to milk customers

See?!?! It's brand new!

Might have some new parts to support new tech but it's still old architecture and has to be able to be run at the TDP allowed by a handheld with it's measly heatsink.

It's worse than the battery life in the steam deck. Base steam deck is 2-8, oled steam deck is 3-12.

has to be able to be run at the TDP allowed by a handheld with it's measly heatsink.

why do you think the dock has a fan now?

Fans help but the limiting factor is the size/spread of the heatsink.

wifi 6 not wifi 6e

no 4k 120hz so no 40fps mode which is significantly better than 30fps at slight performance cost

always on spyware microphone

potentiometer joycons instead of hall effect = guaranteed stick drift

LCD not OLED screen with fake "HDR"

"custom processor" with no clock rates or tflops

tendies will still eat it up anyway and wonder why their games cost $100 in the future kek

Huh the screen has VRR

It can run VRR so it can run 40fps

so is it essentially a ps4 pro+ but portable from the looks of things?

kept advertising HDR

cool guess it has an OLED screen as is basically standard now

LCD screen

those fucking kikes are going to release an OLED model in a year or two in the hopes of people double dipping aren't they

So the PS5 comparison was accurate then.

It's 2025, wifi 6 is pretty much standard now

Why is the CPU/GPU not listed?
Where is the RAM specs?

Hasn't batter tech been fucking stagnant for years now?Seriously, it seems literally everything else about hardware has improved but the battery tech.

This is most good news.

wg5qeflb4pp81.jpg - 1080x1580, 104.92K

cant wait for fps above 30 to be confirmed framegen

They never list those kinds of specs iirc
Back in the Wii days it just says IBM processor

Tech stagnation has little to do with them cheaping out on the battery.

>ps4 level hardware

>in the palm of your hand

sounds great tbqh

You could have gotten the same thing from the steam deck, which is cheaper, doesn't have any online subscription fees, has cheaper games, functions as a pc, and came out nearly 5 years ago.

we recently have those batteries from the chinks that allows them to shove like 6000mah into a 6.2" phone

usually batteries designed for high current drain applications have lower capacity in the same form factor

Operative word here is "40fps mode". If they're intending this for 4k 60hz tvs they will develop 60fps and 30fps locked framerate modes at best.

Man they could've at least let you store switch 1 games on a normal card

steam deck is much weaker than this

We've basically hit diminishing returns on lithium-ion batteries now. Anything better is ridiculously expensive &/or hard to make nevermind the more we pack into lithium-ion, the bigger the hazard if it ever catches on fire.

no physical games

doesn't come with a dock

No thanks gay ben. Maybe your platform will be worthwhile if you can finally make a game again.

Also weighs more
8000mah phone sounds nice until you realize it'll be 500g

Why get a Steam Deck when I can get a PC?

Deckfags are fucking retarded
