People put SO MUCH stock into Noelle being a more consistent part, but I still expect she won't be and we'll just get different partners in each chapter as it focuses on different people in the town.

Chapter 3 will have Toriel taking the same role as Noelle did in Chapter 2, most of the storyline focus and being involved in the Weird Route.
Chapter 4 being the Church has a lot of possibilities, though Catti makes the most sense. She probably gets dragged to the service by her family and wrapped up in the stuff pitting her goth vibes against a literally gothic world.

Also we'll find out if the Chess Theory works or not. Still has the potential since the TV world could easily have a "Rook" involved since it's in Kris' home and the church is the perfect place for a "Bishop" to show up.
That'd leave Chapter 5 for the Knight, which would make sense as that's where Toby originally wanted to cut off the first paid release.

I believe this concept art Toby posted three years ago is also drawing from the Church sequence in the Light World, the Noelle, Catti and Susie sprites could all be from some kind of event in the Church's basement or other communal area.

It will be a metacommentary on superbosses in general, as well as a nod to the fact of how many players have undertaken Genocide route just for the chance to fight Sans.

Based on what people have speculated well probably get a church chapter with a lot of characters in the basement, Susie drinks the punch, and a dark world opens. Then we get focus on Noelle and Catti, but because there's so many people inevitably one opens a neo dark fountain and fucks everything up.

And it fits along perfectly with the themes that the Deltarune characters are corruptions of Undertale ones, like Kris and Frisk. And Asriel's childhood will mirror Undertale's more.

Remember that despite what people have been jerking off to Noelle isn't your submissive obedient slave girl and Snowgrave ends with her more assertive, suspicious of (You), and Determined.
It's hard to imagine that the Twisted Sword doesn't have more going for it than just being Kris's ultimate weapon either. You technically don't need to commit to Snowgrave to get the Thorn Ring but Noelle will certainly join your party again and let you take it either way.
