Your reasoning is bad but it's still a good idea maybe. Hack isn't guaranteed, you might be waiting for a long time or possibly forever if it doesn't get hacked.
It might still be a good idea because if there ever is any chance of a hack, odds are it will be on early life systems that haven't had any vulnerabilities patched out. So if you've got the money and are willing to take a gamble, I'd say go for it.
If you want to be extra scummy, buy multiple early release systems, hope there's a hack only for those early systems, and sell them later for significantly higher $$$.

If you are okay with spending $450 on something that may never be hacked. Launch units will be the most vulnerable.
Literally just replace the 1's with 2's in the Yuzu code and you have a full emulator.
if you have to wait 4 years and the only hack that arrives is some day 1 firmware exploit its going to be useless because only 5 other people on the planet will be able to use it, meaning there is no CFW community to support it.

Staying on early firmware versions as much as you can is recommended for jailbreaking hardware but autistically sticking on ancient firmware is useless.
Plus at some point newer games will require newer firmware, which will force whatever community is there to move on.

The switch was a retrofitted nvidia shield TV. This one will likely be more secure because it being a secure platform was part of its design from the beginning instead of using a cheap existing platform. I bet we see emulation before we see cfw.

There's an interview some anon posted where they it's "partially both" meaning both a software (emulation) and hardware solution. Whatever that means. I don't think they gave more specifics than that.
