Every time i think of Wind Waker in a vacuum. I remember all my unfortunate problems with the game that ultimate led me to not finishing it (basically when triforce quest started but that isn't actually why i stopped playing specifically) but then i remember every other Zelda game and get teary eyed. Because Wind Waker is like the closest Zelda as a series can get to being a good game. And since there is unfortunately nothing quite like zelda. Wind Wakers value MUST be inflated for being the most well rounded one in every aspect that's relevant to zelda. It's also one of the few classic zelda games that can be compared and contrasted to the open world games and where i can make a solid argument that it's better than them just for being more tightly structured and a balance between old and new age of zelda

The only difference is the contrast settings on the recording device though? Same polygons, same texture resolution, same effects quality. They just made the switch 2 version look darker so it has more contrast which obviously looks nicer than washed out switch 1 games that default to the retarded limited color range.
A Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Twilight Princess, and Breath of the Wild are all better games. The wind waker and Skyward Sword are trash

My conclusion after completing it? Everything that people said in 2001 about the game was right, and then some. It's dogshit in every regard.
