Gameplay
Anon...
press triangle once to perform entire mortal kombat tier fatality sequence
not enough going on for me and I’m not a story before gameplay person
Yeah, the combat is great
It's your typical third person console game, with an emphasis on the "cool" melee takedowns to compensate for how shit gunplay is on consoles.
The gameplay is phenomenal. Murder has never felt or looked so good. The sound design is solid too.
gameplay is actually awesome when you're not walking with Ellie's gf or Abby's girlson.
It's probably one of the best stealth games ever made. The enemies are methodical and use tactics to push you back into a corner. They cover each other's blind spots when patrolling and travel in pairs when they investigate movement. They have a great self preservation sense and will use stealth against you.
kek suprised to see some positive posts here, are you guys finally stopped malding over being forced to play as your favorite npc's killer?
No, it's a movie.
It came out on PC about a week ago. Everyone else is playing it now and discovering it's actually a really good game.
The gameplay is actually pretty great
Then you realize its just:
walkin
talkin
shootin
cutscene
over and over and over again for 30 hours and youll ask yourself:
What in the fuck where they thinking ?
The gameplay is fantastic
>walkin
>talkin
>shootin
>cutscene
name a game that isn't this
doom
Spelunky 2
Whatever you do, don't watch the show.
Being a TLOU fan must be awful, y'all a bunch of cucks lol.
The scene is fine. To paraphrase,
Ellie: Yes we were dumb going in alone, but you and Joel would have done the same
Tommy: Yes but that's different
Ellie and Maria: How??
It's funny.
Just ignore the comments.
Yes it’s actually great.
How is it not different? Joel and Tommy are men with military experience and physically capable of handling the situation compared to two skinny 19 year olds.
Story is outstanding. Unfortunately it filtered so many people that the show is making some clumsy changes in order to restructure it and make it more palatable. I'm trying to give it the benefit of doubt but I strongly suspect the end result is going to be a strictly inferior version that just highlights how good the game's writing was.
The combat is the best part about the game by far. Shooting feels nice and satisfying, there's some fun FEAR 1 qualities to the AI with how enemy humans make call outs when you kill one of their friends, and the gore in this game would make Manhunts 1 and 2 proud. The only problem is that the pacing in the game is terrible, resulting in plenty of situations where nothing happens. It's especially bad by the half way point when you play as Abby, because you're starting back from scratch in terms of unlockables and loadouts.
The story is really good. It's legitimately well-written. The gameplay is just okay
Controversial story aside, yes the game is awesome, truly. The physics, the way the characters interact with the environment and each other, the gore, the dismemberment, the graphics, the stealth, gun feel, and attention to detail are all S tier. It’s a pretty realistic NPC butchering simulator
Regardless of strength or experience, going into that building instead of going back to regroup was reckless.
Tommy knows that Ellie is right: He and Joel would have gone in too, and it would have been almost as dumb a decision.
You dont seem to understand me.
Its EXACTLY like that. Every time. Like 84 fucking times.
Time after time after time after time after time after time
The overall story is good but the start is atrocious, it would've been better if:
They hadn't shown Ellie being stoned and having lesbian sex while Joel was getting killed and
If they hadn't killed Joel so quickly, would've been nice to see the wolfs and Joel/Tommy interact friendly until Joel's identity slipped out or something similar.
yea but name a game that isn't that
As close as you'll ever get to a Manhunt 3.
sopranos fans and tlou fans both love justifying evil selfish pricks
Fighting the zombies can be fun but usually isn't. Human on human combat is fantastic, I would kill for a game that has all the same mechanics but focuses entirely on those types of combat encounters and cools it way down on all the cutscenes and walking segments and shit because I can't think of any other game that scratches the exact itch that this does.
The story is great, it just didn't earn the ending it was going for.
How is Joel an evil selfish prick? He accepted his humanity, while someone like Tony lives in denial. Joel made human decisions and your jewish cuckold writer decided to subvert and punish you for playing his game. Tony made decisions to distance himself from his humanity and forsaking it for short term pleasures stemming from trauma brought on my socio economic factors and having an evil harpy for a mother
Every game that wasn't a snoy exclusive on 7th gen or later.
yet another move-around/take-cover shooting range
but you only 5 bullets, count them, just FIVE bullets per gun
The gameplay is as bad or even worse than the story
gameplay
Can you do this in the game?
Giwtwm
The constant cuts are really annoying. Also wish they could have given Ellie a knife to shank a guy instead of what looks like poor fight choreography.
I'd describe the gameplay as crusty, and kind of a bust really
They never had bad gameplay so why did that kike canceled Factions 2 and focused all of the team into Intergalactic?
it's a mock/training fight
That explains everything then. i very obviously never watched the show, never saw a point in watching it when the first two games were fine as they were
Because the higher ups were just done with this god forsaken franchise, done.
Sure they still greenlit the adaption and remasters and repackagings and re re re
But please, no more TLOUS
I only played 1. Do they at least mix up the encounters this time? In 1 it was always zombies -> humans -> zombies -> humans. Everytime. They never mixed, like water and oil.
No.
i played it at launch and thought it was decent gameplay wise, i also wasnt memed by the whokle "lol abby is trans and that dumb hoe killed my mans joel" like i thought it got the job done and entertained me. the rogelike mode is cool thoo, id say the gameplay is up there almost with mgsv to me. neil druckman is still a cuck hack though.
To this day no one can explain why the game story is shit without using right wing Anon Babble lingo.
Bigotry does not equal critical analysis
You tell em, sister!
Why is she black?
Not him but the first human+zombie mixed encounters were in Left Behind, and there are more of those in 2. You can throw shit to draw the zombies' attention to the humans, that kind of thing. If you have a human hostage you can feed them to infected.
With that said, it only happens in rare semi-setpiece encounters that have been specially set up that way. It's not like the two groups can just randomly encounter each other.
The gameplay is basically Uncharted but your brain is slowed down to half speed and you have to manage your health and ammo.
It's interesting in Tlou2 that every human isn't some generic mob so every kill feels personal.
im not racist/sexist/homophobic/transphobic for any personal beliefs, but purely due to not wanting to seem reddit cringe
combat is unironically great, and the technical aspects are 10/10, but it's still a moviegame slog half the time
No Return mode is fun
if they'd rewrite the story, remove Abby, cut off all the fat and add multiplayer, it would be GOTY (actual one this time)
Just pirate it and find out.
Crazy Taxi.
Making a game where a dyke massacres hundreds of people only to not murder the only person she wanted to will always be bad writing. If the braindead crouch to stealth gameplay wasn't there and it wasn't a violent killing game and Abby was still spared, then that would've been acceptable. But even less people would've bought a pure stealth game with minimal combat.
