Edit Wands Everywhere

necessary

bouncy bolt + homing + heavy shot + acceleration

acceleration + homing + rock

trigger bolt + brimstone explosion + TNT

luminous drill + mana + ping pong path

alright what other wand builds are there because Im tired of these 4

Are there any other must have mods? I didn't know this game had a Steam Workshop.

3x inventory
sam hyde acid shooters
gondola
spurdo slime
actually unlimited spells
removable perks

It's hilarious just how necessary Tinker Everywhere is for the new player experience. For the first 20-30 hours of playing I learned more in my one or two Tinker first runs than my countless other runs.

its necessary to not waste literal hours of your life moving shit to and from holy mountains

have to either slog through the first couple levels with boring basic wands to gather gold for the shop or just blitz straight to the bottom and beeline to fungal zone and hope you get something usable

by the time you have a cool setup the main tower is over and you either stop at the basic ending or have to do the extremely boring and tedious outside the main tower content

game sucks

also what are the essential mods for this game?

my main criticism of noita has always been how poorly the side content is implemented. If the rest of the world had shit to do beyond autist secret hunting it would be so much better

You need one of those modifiers that give all of your bullets the black hole effect (not to be confused with the Black Hole projectiles.)

Also, the modifier that makes bullets last longer would be good.

There is another.

Chubby Mina.png - 630x630, 42.24K

the holy mountain should just give you a temporary wand editing perk that goes away if you make it collapse
That way you don't need to backtrack but there is a reason to avoid collapsing it

blood gold first mountain

fire immunity second mountain

giga death cross pre-snow so easy wand coniseur kill

explosion immunity third mountain

unlimited spells 4th mountain

extra perk 5th mountain

all seeing eye 6th mountain

insane luck this run but idk what I should do with it

get to jungle level

just outside of the dragon's cave there are 4 high tier spells just stuck in the wall

the fuck?

Complete shitter status, and just shows you don't know the base game enough

no you dont understand this giant game world with gameplay based around wand tinkering should limit your ability to tweak wants to only a couple sections on the map

[insert cope about how avoiding breaking holy mountains is a skill]

The game is tedious dogshit without it.
If you know the base game you know it doesn't make the game any easier or harder.

have to either slog through the first couple levels with boring basic wands

It's astounding how many of the devs of this endless torrent of shitty roguelites think they need to make the early game a boring slog in a genre where the player is by design going to be subjected to it constantly.

Apotheosis is also a must have for me
Good content mod
Though not a fan of how awful they retuned the final boss to be, especially since a proper ending requires you to not go to parallel worlds

apotheosis

I remember that mod adding tons of stuff that made it annoying as fuck
mainly introducing a new version of cursed rock that cant be broken

[insert cope about how avoiding breaking holy mountains is a skill]

What? Nah, the point is if you can do it easily in the base game there's no need to get a mod for it.
You can break/bypass holy mountains with multiple methods, and if you still don't get it there just go to another world without it

I put 400+ hours in vanilla Noita, and I can assure you, you can make the base game work. I especially think for starting players starting with always tinkering just destroys the learning process, and advanced players have no need for the mod.

they nerf chainsaw to cost more mana (lumi drill is better anyway) and penetrate to only hit 5 times instead of per frame
i got used to the nerfs, i mean you can multiply with divide by on penetrate so that it hits per frame
also i've only even seen that rock in the tower

You didn't beat the game.

You should only do that AFTER you make it all the way through once.

That's why you enable the mod that gives EVERY enemy a random wand. Is it a rock? Is it a laser? Is it a fucking nuke that kills you before you fully enter a cave, or because it agro'd an enemy, and you just happen to get caught in the blast? That's how the game becomes really fun, because a random enemy can shock you with an electrically embued projectile, drop you into a liquid, then electrocute you instantly.

hmmm we have all these side areas

should we add branching paths to the main progression area so players can go explore them?

nah fuck that we should gate everything off so its only accessable with luminous drill/black hole digging wands

why?

anon, you just need to get gud________

This wand does like 8 quintillion damage. It will one-shot 33-Orb Kolmi.

recommend the game to friend

First thing he does is install edit wands everywhere

He beats it pretty quick, in a day or two

Now he wants to do a 33 orb run after looking up all the secrets on YouTube

Fucking hate people who mod things without experiencing it the same way as others first
It completely skews discussion because there is no level ground on the experiences we have

noita's secrets are less intuitive to figure out than most of the puzzles in la mulana so I dont blame him for googling secrets. Literally the only good puzzle is the sun quest because it actually has hints and tells you where to go

triplicate bolt + fireball orbit

Two common spells you can get early in a run that'll carry you past the jungle where you make a real wand.

only good puzzle is the sun quest because it actually has hints and tells you where to go

But all the other puzzles also have hints? Far as I can tell the only one that doesn't is the fish one

spotted

Your friend did the right thing by installing tinker everywhere. That way he was able to have fun experimenting with all the different spells he found while he played.

reminder for newfags that hiisi base is for healing

hisii ally.png - 366x284, 111.24K

Maybe replace cape? Maybe remove it?
Do the ass and titties jiggle?

game literally allows you to go back into safe zones any time to edit wands as long as you know how to

"NOOOO YOU CAN'T SIMPLIFY THIS PROCESS IT NEEDS TO BE TEDIOUS ON PURPOSE"

nah, cutting grindy crap is always morally correct

arriving at the hiisi base with a flask of teleportium, pheromones, and broken wand

Yep, time for a power spike.

This setup is kind of ass to aim, even with the homing. I still don't understand the specific interaction between StP and Tentacle with timer.

Eye room has shitty spells

broken wand gives you the same dogshit you would find in the mines

all the healer hisii die off screen

Good Wand for killing

Good money/perks

Good utility

choose 2, but never 3 for a run

1 billion spell modifications that add [on hitting something do X] into multicasting 8 bouncy balls

main spell mod is acceleration

my personal favorite wand build

megumin fellatio mod

It's really not hard to aim at all. You position yourself just beyond the length of the tentacle and the spark bolt will instantly kill something the moment it is triggered. There's something about the tentacle that makes this do such a ridiculous amount of damage. I've tried it with other timer spells and the damage is still really high, but the tentacle and StP combine somehow to create stupid big numbers. If you add one more divide-by spell in the chain it will literally do infinite damage.

If there are ways you can avoid the shitty early game slog with knowledge/mastery of a trick thats fine. Its borderline nessecary to go fungal though to try and speed a run up and prevent you from insta-death in Hisii base if you don't have a good damage wand.

noita needs some kind of high risk high reward early game area besides the mushroom caves. Like the whole charm of the game is its super difficult and you die to bullshit but the early game ought to be way faster for experienced players if the devs want you to die and lose tons of progress out of nowhere
