you need to install fun content mods. Graphics and booba is what most people focus on, but it's not what makes skyrim fun.
I recently downloaded some sword from world of warcraft that does an aoe nuke that ragdolls enemies on power attacks and I've been having a blast vaporizing bandits.

Only thing I wanted in Skyrim is stuff to spend all my septims on. After Proudspire at 25k it feels like there's nothing left to buy or invest in. Even pointless completionist overly expensive goals like the giant gold clock in Stardew Valley is enough to give you something to work towards, but there is nothing like that in Skyrim. No hugely expensive items that are just there to flaunt your wealth.

Did anyone ever try and play with Survival Mode on? I did at first. My first action ever when I booted up Skyrim was killing a rabbit and eating it and then contracting some stamina poison disease. I spent most of the playtime routing through barrels looking for food that wasn't too heavy to carry like those salted salmon steaks, or trying to find a bed nearby. I eventually relented and started using quick travel around the time I cleared Valtheim Towers.

It makes the base game better except for there's sometimes a glitch that makes it so you can't restore sleep and that you always have the drained status. Someone should've been fired for this.

Funny because I never get that far in any of my playthroughs, always start over before breaking holding 15k at once, even with alchemy and speech. I also play hardcore survival modlists but still, for the time sunk, it's weird I have only ever bought breezehome.
