It's about the gameplay, not the graphics. This game could look like a N64 game and I'd pay $100 for it. Millions of people agree. That's the difference between Nintendo quality and...pretty much everything else. *Shrug*

The gameplay is Mario Kart but open world.
So just to clarify, you think that's the most interesting idea of the past two decades?

"I think this game is good"

OH SO YOU THINK IT'S THE BEST GAME IN THE PAST 20 YEARS HUH???

why are snoys illiterate

Holy shit

It's the most expensive game of the past 20 years.
So yes, do you think it's that good?
That's your argument right? The gameplay is so good you'd pay $100 for it?

I don’t understand the appeal of the open world thing. Like at all

Same man, to me that was a negative.
I'd have been more open to a normal Mario Kart game with some new gimmick, not a multiplayer focused waste-your-time open world game.

Nintendo quality

It was only a reveal trailer , I’m predicting with how flexible they made the characters and evironments also looked like they were created to be customised for three laps or whatever you’d call the continuous maps. The theming of regions also make me believe they’ll be a course maker announced in the direct. I think that would seriously warrant the choice to make it $80

big apple

3 A.M.

Weegee time

The actual open world shit doesn't really add much other than just making the actual cups drag on longer by forcing you to drive between courses. The new roster isn't even anything special since it's just random ass Mario enemies and animals. Good on you for not caring about what faggots on xitter have to say but I don't really see the "Nintendo quality" you're talking about being good enough to pay anything over $60. This alongside the new Donkey Kong game also makes me believe Nintendo's new idea for their titles is just to make shit open world. We'll be getting a fucking open world Wario game at this point where you drive your motorcycle across landscapes that look like OOT textures from afar with a unnecessary update to his model

Top game is running in botw engine

It's open world. Much harder to make the graphics great in an open-world game.

The gameplay is the problem here, it looks fine. The road is 2.5 times as wide as it should be. You don't even have to steer. If you do manage to collide with anything there isn't even any punishment you just bounce off. Even a headon collision is just a minor bounce.

Every single Mario Kart i've played i have fun for 5-6 hours then i realize it's always the same shit and never play it again
Can't imagine how braindead you have to be to enjoy it for hundreds of hours

Not to mention they've been playing it 8 God damn years

Maybe they could do mini games and include coin collecting challenges, at least. I’d be fine with that, I love that shit. Maybe you could upgrade your go kart in some sort of GTA kiddie game. I don’t know. I trust Nintendo not to completely fuck it up

Mushroom GTAVI.

It's about the gameplay, not the graphics

Too bad this game doesn't excell at either

That's bullshit and you know it

BUH…BUH!

It is. There's way more content you have to craft.

The content will be shit though. I mean the smartest thing to do would just be to make it mario cart but copy the same gameplay style and progression of something like need for speed underground 2 or mightnight club with stuff to discover like shops.

It's not just about graphical quality but also style and implimentation. Mario Kart 8 was never going to win awards for graphical power. But its style and animations were 100x better than "modern realistic game #4752 reusing GTAIV character animations and unity assets."

That said, nothing about this new Mario Kart looks interesting yet to me. It's style actually looks washed out and ugly. But also, MK8 looked bland in the initial trailers. Then looked totally different when it launched. We'll just have to see how it is when it comes out.

And? Are Nintendo so shit at game dev that they'd have the whole world rendered at once?

honestly the fact they seem to be pushing for 120fps in their major first party titles is a great use of the switch 2 additional power, which this shithole would be celebrating if it wasn't a shithole

$80 slop

you're brown and indian

You're an adult who plays mario games

The mood changes when Luigi reaches MLK boulevard and Malcolm X street.

That's a bad use of power though. It's fine for less taxing games like basic 2d games but it's a waste for big AAA games. The power is better spent elsewhere on a handheld. 120fps and 4k are cool features but not when they come at the expense of visual upgrades in other areas like lighting, shaders, etc.

That's a bad use of power though

lmao

snoys and pcjeets everyone

He's not recovering from that one lmao

salivating rn oh god at daisy

It's true. 120fps is good, but a handheld shouldn't waste its limited resources on doubling the framerate. 60 isnt perfect but it's good enough. I say this as a PCbro.
120 is going to make the graphical upgrade less impressive.

the gameplay looks shittier than any of the other mario kart games

90% of the tracks are gigantic straight lines with few hazards and wide as fuck roads

its not like mario kart's difficulty was anywhere close to its selling point but the way they've completely dumbed down the actual racing is outlandish. the open world shit is a meme gimmick and its gonna be a net negative on the actual game

Graphics might not matter but how does this roblox looking game require a modern system to run?

mariokart plays worse than shovel ware codemasters shit you can buy for 2 dollars. Nintendo fans are insufferable shit eaters.

Same people who play hearthstone for 4000 hours. Some people are just retarded and easily entertained.

Ever since I was a kid playing Mario Kart 64 I've wished to just be able to drive around and between all the cool locations. My sister and I would start up 2-player races on tracks like Royal Raceway, Kalamari Desert, and Koopa Beach and agree not to complete laps and just hang out playing around the train, the castle, tunnels, and beaches. Like playing house or playing with toys, just in a video game. Mario Kart World is a dream come true, what I always wished I could have as a kid. I'm incredibly jealous of all the 6 year olds who'll get to live out my dream in that young, playful, impressionable state.
