It's crazy to think this card was once meta

It's crazy to think this card was once meta

It's just got really good stats for the cost.

I reinstalled hearthstone and it's a clusterfuck, every card had like a dozen keywords and half of the cards generate cards that generate cards that generate cards

Just like MtG is these days

meta

Maybe at the very beginning and in Arena. In Constructed, the card was decent for maybe a year, but you wouldn't actually put it in your deck. Then it started to get outclassed by most other non-class 4s and even 3s.

stay away, it's a different game now, and not fun at all

It's the nature of TCGs. Unless you have blatant gaping holes in your card roster, what are you gonna do with expansions other than add power creep-y cards with a bunch of card text?

Meanwhile this is now meta.

Why do card games *always* have power creep? Designers constantly make the mistake that vanilla cards must be "boring".

Because they need to sell you new cards

theres plenty of room to add a lot of stuff. the reason for powercreep is thet think it makes them money. only short term money however qsince it tends to make the old palyerbase flee, discourage consumer loyalty and endup every single time making the game complete shit with no exception since it reaches the point where the game design has become destroyed

Hearthstone is so gay and retarded now. I am sick of forced synergies. Every expansion has to have a gimmick, it's like those retarded jade idols

durr just play cards that give you jade idols and.... ok that's it

Even as far back as murlocs

durr just put 30 murlocs in your deck and then just play them as murlocs buff murlocs and generate more murlocs

Hard synergies fucking suck dick and when the next expansion doesn't support it, these cards are worthless. You can't play your stupid murlocs when they don't print more murlocs. If the murloc deck isn't good, all murloc cards are useless because they work only in a murloc deck.

All the best cards were cards that would do something unique on their own and would fit in any deck. Now you can't put a cool fun card in your deck because that card doesn't have ''muh imbue'' and doesn't make your win condition hero power more powerful

its crazy that Yugioh has a perma thread on Anon Babble that is fast as fuck and hearthstone cucks have to stay on their Anon Babble general that lasts a week per thread
Get owned cucks Yugioh wins again

That card was only ever arena meta if I recall.
What's funnier is cards like 4 mana 7/7 are so fucking slow nowadays, because you're dead by the time you get to play that.

Finally uninstalled hearthstone after the starcraft crossover garbage. Best decision of my life

geni.png - 185x266, 52.09K

sounds like shadowverse
every match is designed to end in the time it takes to take your train commute to work so most matches are already determined by like turn 6 and if you ever manage to get to turn 9/10 basically every faction has a one turn win condition

I miss Tazdingo.

aggro has endless cards to refill board

control has endless cards to board clear

midrange is non existant

wild has multiple decks that kill you on t2 (some even turn 1)

Blizzard is retarded

They pretty much gave every single class a win condition to deal with stall decks nowadays pretty much yeah.
The quests that gave every class game ending shit like Priest that literally had a "when you play this card kill the opponent", or Warlock that dealt fatigue damage to the opponent instead of themselves should they run out of cards, Paladin that had a card that would immediately kill the opponent if they used their hero power 4 times and mage that could just deal +100 damage to your face.
Forget stall decks, even midrange can't deal with that shit, there's only hyper offense decks.

he cant damage himself

is Bazaar gonna pop off after it releases?

reynad.jpg - 900x900, 159.56K

You're right, I misremebered. I do remember that he popped me or my own board more than my opponent's.

No, it has 4 characters and so far one has always been way more busted than the others.

played my first ever game yesterday, pls rate

Kino card. It was good but you had to be smart about using it and set up the board in a way where the likelihood of it hitting you is small or it's beneficial for you to hit your own stuff. New cards are not this interactive.

I've been playing since Emerald Dream set released and I've literally never seen this card be played.

sickest art

sickest sounds

fucking useless outside of arena, sometimes

file.png - 524x650, 508.09K

Endless card generation is what killed it for me. What's the point of playing around anything when class specific cards and two of the same card per deck means jackshit anymore? Every class can now get a hold of other classes cards and the mage can now generate endless AoE.

Power creep is a bitch, man. MTG is guilty of it too. I remember reading an article about this card's design, it was initially supposed to be 3 CMC, but was printed at 2 by mistake or something like that. Almost every modern and legacy deck running green had 3 or 4 copies of this fucker, but now I can't even remember the last time I saw him because he's not good anymore.

Words can not describe how much I loved this guy.

Sludge.png - 286x395, 202.82K

chillwind yeti was never good, any deck that wanted to run a neutral 4 drop would have been better off with either sen'jin shieldmasta or violet teacher

this card is also not good in constructed.

words cannot describe how much i hated that meta

bring out yer icky

concede

if it had taunt too it would've gone crazy in arena at the time.

Capitalism and the idea of infinite growth.

I had a lot of fun in this game playing against a friend, we both built full RNG decks and just threw them at each other in hopes some strategy would present itself.

They're trying to sell you new cards. Why would you ever buy any new cards if they were worse or on par with the ones you already have?

As opposed to communism and the forever revolution?

i'd buy them if they buffed old ones, too

Stopped playing after they removed the free daily ticket.

Why you gotta be like that? You don't have to be for communism to see that the push towards GaaS and endless content pushing is the result of the idea of always requiring more growth. It's not a conspiracy or anything, that's just what our corporations and economies are geared towards. It's a factual statement, not an ideological indictment. Why else do you think growth rates of 1-2 % are treated as terrible?

As an aside, communism is a teleological ideology, so it has an finite end-state. Capitalism, by definition, does not. There are other ideologies that are teleological and others that aren't, but currently, capitalism is the dominant economical ideology, so that's what these corporations operate under.

was printed at 2 by mistake

mistake

so innocent...

many such cases of cards getting last minute buffs before printing or otherwise weren't play tested at all. Oko Thief of Crowns and Skull Clamp come to mind.

Id buy them but only for gold im game and if they were horde

3/6

Did they really buff him?
lol hs must have changed a lot, he was so ubiquitous if you weren't playing a face deck back then

A year ago i told myself id make hs legend out of nowhere so i downloaded it created an account grinded dust and went with some demon hunter build. I finished at rank2 (not legend top 2 server, the 2 rank) and it was so unfun i cant imagine how sorry this game is now.

I stopped when the pirates set came out after I built a pirate equip deck because I liked Warrior, and it ended up so stupidly good that I got top 300 and never touched the game again. Patches seems so quaint now when I look at new cards.

Not only did they buff him to 3/6 when adding him to core set but he never was never close to being considered playable at that statline. If they wanted to try again in 2026 core set, sludge belcher could potentially see play as a 4/7 that summons a 3/3 slime. I mean theres a 3 mana 4/3 taunt that summons a 3/3 taunt when it dies that also never saw play,

You can just re-release some cards alongside the new cards. Every new hearhtstone set has brand new cards. Reprinting is not a thing except for one wild-only set.

Patches seems so quaint now when I look at new cards

Patches is to HS what Fetchlands are to MTG: A test to see if you actually understand what makes a card good.

Is Leeroy still good?

i miss playing zoo back when hs was new. handlock was also fun.

MtG has a multiple fast threads on Anon Babble

YuGiOh has a fast thread on Anon Babble

Pokemon tcg thread is slow as all fuck despite the game being as big as the others

I don't get it.

Pokemon tcg is currently more a collectible than a game.

Theres an armor demon hunter deck right now thats ridiculously strong when you know how to use it. Anyone can reach legend with it

it's a different game, play battlegrounds and if you hate it, uninstall and sell your battlenet account

Still played in wild decks because a free 1/1 is still a free 1/1, especially early game.

I just remembered that hearthstone mathematics channel

There was a handbuff pally deck a bit ago that allowed him to be 15+ attack by turn 10

I'd say Patches is more like a companion than a fetchland.

this is where the game died

mysterious challenger.... le bad

was there a more retarded moment in the history of hearthstone's community?

This is the part where you report your opponent for cheating

recorded a game back in 2018 of my favorite deck at that time because I knew it would eventually be gone

I wish we could

They did a Toy Store set followed by a beach vacation set. To say the least: some people weren't amused.

Mech Paladin already had the perfect curve and challenger put it completely over the top. If a paladin drew their cards in the right order they literally could not lose the game of hearthstone.

I like ranked hearthstone but it's fun long enough for me to keep playing. I usually get bored of a deck after about a day. It's why I stopped playing card games in general

Funny enough, not only did mysterious challenger never got banned, It became completely irrelevant when Avenge rotated out of standard and many years later was buffed to being a 5 mana 5/5

tarmogoyfbros... we got too cocky...

AI generated logos

that works only if the game is extremely one dimensional and shallow
even if other cards are "on par" in terms of power level they can have effects that make older cards stronger

it's either that or they design new archetypes

Currently most meta cards are from StarCraft miniset, not even a whole expansion

Anon they killed that deck a few days ago
It also wasnt very good and egg hunter absolutely shit on it.

Why do card games *always* have power creep?

because people dont get excited about sidegrades, and they want to sell you new cards

retard

I will NOT give it a single try after his attempt to scam people with his microtransactions he said won't be in the game.

this card is also not good in constructed.

It's alright. Obviously only great in Warlock Wallow, and Warlock is not in a great place in general, but it's hardly the worst card you could add as filler.

MTGs got a lot of powercreep problems (and planeswalkers were always cancer) but I think the big one recently is that cheap enchantments have just gotten way too goos

i don't even want to know how bad miracle is right now if they had to nerf this guy to 7 mana

it will still be 10 years before enchantments are anything close to artifacts. Beans could cost 1 instead of 1G and no one would bat an eye.

The Draenei and Emerald Dream expansions have at least been fairly okay flavor wise.
Starcraft coming in with a steel chair is fucking hilarious though.

People don't play Pokemon they just collect the cards, despite a digital version having existed for years they even just recently put out a new one that's totally about collecting and the game is just some super striped down version of the game to justify collecting.

anons are excited for worlds beyond right?

MTG also has reverse power creep. Like some cards in the first edition were just like, one blue mana cost, buy three cards, and stuff like the famous black lotus and shit. They are infinitely more powerful than any card released today

BEEP BOOP FUCK YOU, TAKE 20 DAMAGE FOR 4 MANA

Nope, Kusoverse is the single worst CCG I've ever played, and I doubt they'll change their core design philosophy of "Tanaka-san needs to finish this game before his 5 minute train ride is over". It will always be "kills you on turn 7 regardless of board state, HP totals, or hand size" if they're generous, they'll extend the turn to 9 at first. Even back when the game was """""balanced""""" that shit was happening with roaches and D.Shift. It's a CCG made for ADD retards that favors the aggressor exclusively, and nothing can change that.

i take that over boring ass control meta

playing MTG for decades

getting bored of the retarded keyword spam and powercreep, where every single turn must be a BIG SWING, total boardclear, developing a full board and putting some extra mana or artifact or wincon shit in play

there is nice, simple video game TCG coming out in the setting I like

they add retarded keyword spam and powercreep where every single turn must be a BIG SWING, total boardclear, developing a full board and gaining extra mana, sometimes over the limit or weapon or wincon shit in play

I'm so tired of this shit, I just want a nice, low power level game where playing Dr. Boom on seven or Blue drawing two extra cards is serious shit.

Bayonet is perfectly fine just being on a katana.

CCGs are like MMO servers, only playable for the first year of their lifespan. Profit incentivizes power creep, and thus the game is destined to die, or chase everyone who's not a retard away.

I play battlegrounds before sleep for years, have 40k ish gold and 300 unopened packs. Its just a fun mode but my record was 8k points, it gets really fucking tough around that mmr.

yeah with 100 bonus damage from skills it is

Go away kripp

Absolutely, anon high rolled his skills.

it has released, it's at 1.0 as of this month. They even rolled back most of the jewwy changes and gave the daily ranked tickets back but reynad is so fucking retarded killing it out the gate and not advertising it'll probably never recover.

he was never meta outside of arena

What's the most bloated card in the game right now?

Wrong. You don't need powercreep to sell new physical packs, and even less needed in a video game.

I've been gone for months now, it true they tried to make this latest set lower power overall and it just turned out like rastakhan rumble where all the retarded shit wasn't rotated with it?

You don't NEED it to sell, but having it forces people to buy. Selling an advantage is the surest way to ensure a purchase in a competitive environment.

Do you mean like by keyword count?
Either Zilliax or, if we want to get technical, this God forsaken thing.

Those were completely in tone with Hearthstone and Warcraft and pretty funny. You sound like an underage edgy zoomer.

What the fuck, they turned Starcraft units into cards now?

Yes. Last expansion was about Draenei and Demons in space. The mini-set that came a bit afterwards was literally Starcraft

Funny how original Zilliax itself did not even FEEL bloaded, because being super bloated with keywords was its thing, it was meant to be an outlier. Every other card having a bunch of keywords is what makes the game boring.

have a nice expansion, good art, good art direction, good theme, good new deck archetypes, good new mechanics

release a miniset that instantly obsoletes it all and makes only 1-2 card from the entire set being used

I don't fucking get it

I haven't played since this was everywhere, it's been a while I guess and cards are even more stupid

Just saw this card today, love how blatant the devs are with their hatred for fatigue decks.

I don't fucking get it

Next year they're announcing Starcraft 3 and this was the easiest expansion to fit the crossover into in order to start the 'hype' build up.
They also announced that Starcraft is getting a tabletop miniatures game early next year too.

10+ Years too late if you ask me

Yep

That's the general sentiment. Still, there might be some hope for it.

With Modern Blizzard?
After how the series ended?
There is gonna be a tranny, a pet zerg and marvel quip in thr first trailer.

Blizzard is fucking dead.

Metzen has returned, and in his drug-fueled crusade he will resurrect Starcraft to the glory says of Brood War after culling the writing team of Warcraft.

Chris Metzen

Chris Metzen.jpg - 1125x225, 35.06K

It's amazing how they split Starcraft 2 in 3 parts so they had two chances to course correct and only made the game worse each time

I think Imbue Druid plays it now

Free daily ticket is back

Chris Metzen

At least Legacy of the Void gave us Alarak. And Robo-Fenix.

God I miss hearthstone. Launch to about Un’goro was peak children’s card game. Arena was crazy fun too. I want to go back…

Rng is clearly rigged to maximize profits, why wouldn't it be? What's the point of playing a game like this?

1000003431.jpg - 968x1720, 180.38K

Devs for all card games just seem to be combo or aggro retards from my experience. They hate midrange and control, or any sort of back and forth.

It wasn't really meta, it was just filler that was "Good enough" it was cost effective, decent dmg for 4 mana, can trade well into most things, left unchecked it can pile the damage, hard to justify removal also the one class that focused on removal (priest) couldn't deal with it effectively.
Other than negative conditions, usually anything with text was better than plain nothing minions played for stats. If that were the case basic cards would have been played

Storywise, yeah. Gameplaywise, I think it peaked during Heart of the Swarm. Legacy of the Void had its touching moments, such as with the Korhal section. The Purifiers were an interesting faction, too. Otherwise, it felt more like it was made by a CEO who calculated the trends to make optimal profit margins in accordance to them than anything else.

How long did the lot of you last before you quit? I quit at Karazhan or whatever that joke purple expansion was.

old mill decks were fun to play

old hearthstone was pretty fun to play. too bad they had to ruin it

even up to TBC it was pretty good

Bird poop?

Decks that start off strong like that have never been my cup of tea. I've always liked to be irritating and keep the opponent's board clear and their tactics to be sub-optimal until I send out the big guns to wreck their shit.

Started the day open beta happened in I think it was January of 2013? and I quit on the expansion with the 3/9 warlock taunt.
I just felt like I couldn't keep up without paying and from what I've heard they made the f2p experience worse and worse as the game kept on.

Yeah the f2p experience kept getting worse, and the game itself was too power creepy. I was in the same boat as you, started in beta, quit shortly after you.

I love how it doesnt even need activation or has a setup or the effect could possibly be stopped or dispelled. Nope. Even if you're a midrange deck, you just shove this in your deck and have infinite lategame.

More like 20.

Breast Milk from the staff fridge...

I made a goofy Druid deck that's a C'Thun deck but were all the cards I draw are also for the opponent to draw. It was oddly effective against Shadow Priest decks that try to copy and steal my cards.

Im a returning player and dusted the best deck and reached legend and it wasnt fun at all the game sucks now

It can be effective if you can keep the pressure going. Then again, that's what Murloc decks are for.

Not really
a 40/60% cost to stat ratio is the standard meta defining statline all modern card games start with as defined by MTG decades ago
And actually all most card games need is good "vanilla" card support to make these cards meta again

Valeera_HoW.png - 512x512, 520.5K

Rogue decks are quite sensitive to card destruction and disruption. What was that card from Mean Streets of Gadgetzan that forces a minion out of the opponent's hand? That one I think from Rise of Shadows that forces a minion out of the deck? Of course the Deathlord is nasty like that, too. I just wish I was able to get those Saboteur cards that makes a player play a spell from their hand right there and then.

I'm not saying there never were any, I'm saying they're always the fastest playstyles to be nerfed, the most to get hate cards, and at the end of the game's lifespan, the first to disappear entirely. Devs seem to think casuals prefer aggro and combo, and cater to that as time goes on into a game's lifespan. It makes sense if you think about it, as the more random and short a game is, the less frustrated casual players would be due to difference in skill.

you know those got changed right?

I love Lord Jaraxxus and I refuse to remove him from my deck

It could get a lot of people in with mobile. I like it and find even playing just Vanessa I don't feel like I'm ever truly repeating myself.

Digimon TCG is the only good TCG left on the market. But, that's probably because it's young. It's easy to be good as a young TCG, as all the TCGs posted in thread were good at some point back in the day.

We just got that 4/4 Discover a card in your deck with a Dark Gift that will be meta for it's entire existence specifically because it fits in basically any deck.
Sameish reason the protoss hero card had multiple decks made around it without being protoss decks.

The simple fact it was even considered still remains.

I was going to reply to you earlier but you already mentioned it with this, I think the devs in general want the games to be shorter. It's a mobile game.
So I am not surprised to see them favoring those kinds of decks.

Even that is extremely powercreeped peaking at introduction of ACEs. Still, Digimon has the biggest chance of not being shit not because it's young, but because scamco is retarded and keeps ignoring it. Even recently when it was finally succeeding they instantly cannibalized it's mechanics to release their own competition and not just one but three (one piss, DB and upcoming Gundam)

This card was the beginning of the end

should we capitlize on this successful product and make a digital client that will expand its reach globally?

nah lol lmao just make more products to compete with it

I hate bamco so much it's unfucking real. I swear, they must be deliberately sabotaging the Digimon IP due to their vested interest in pokemon merch.

How often do you have guys who "friend" you after a match to yell at you?

Fuck this was probably one of my favorite decks, it felt so cool to actually be using those dogshit pandaren that had been around for forever

Not my BGH

Hello Hello Hello

10 years too late is the blizzard release schedule. People begged for solo queue for rated BGs and arenas since at least 2013, private servers like warmane had solo queue arenas since that time, but it wasn't implemented until much later. The same is true for SoD, which is what people wanted from the classic relaunch, the same is true for just about every change they have ever made.

It never happened, I never understood why that was such a meme back then. I wish it did because I'd laugh at those raging.
The closest thing was the only time I grinded for legend with pirate warrior and because the wild ladder was so barren I fought against the same warlock that teched specifically against my deck. He kept emoting me as he won 3 times or so in a row lol. Still made it to legend, never again it was a pain.

Yeah it's really fun with good art and voice acting.

Love this nigga

entombs your golden monkey

Heh, nothing personel warrior sissy.

It has a strong chance of being good

I have invested too much time and energy into hearthstone and I think it will take an insane betrayal to get me to stop turning out every week. (WoW betrayed me hard and I'm gone for good since like 2017ish)

I miss when the reputation about Blizzard was, "We'll give you an answer in five years, give or take a decade or two". At least then it was back when they made great soulful games.

At least the warlock knew how to adapt, but it gets lonely at the top.

They tend to rage at you when you use what could very well be net-decks. I'll never forget the salt a warrior player gave me when I trashed him with a Shaman Murloc deck back during Whizbang's Workshop after calling in the finishers and then declaring that everyfin is awesome!

I think a large portion of HS base is like me where they neurotically have to turn out for each xpac. It's the only game I spend money on

Hearthstone constructed is such a shitshowm so I only care about battlegrounds when doing other things in the morning. If Bazaar becomes better than battlegrounds, then there is little reason for me not to play it.

Spend more than a month levelling Warrior to level 60 in order to get the golden Chillwind Yeti

6 months later, the card is useless and no one plays it any more

If there was a way to safely acquire card packs by hacking gold, packs, dust, etc I would go back to it. All the cheat sites I find have bot-generated comments and I could smell the curry from the developer.

You can easily have a shitty bot running games 0-24 but what for, the game is shit, collecting all cards is pointless.

inflation that is literally mandated by forced fractional reserve banking, forces companies to grow "infinitely" in nominal terms whether they would like to or not (the alternative is death)

human civilization also just tends to get wealthier in real terms as time goes on, but that is the part of the growth that isn't self destructive

THE GATES ARE OPEN

Yeah, and with the limit of level 400 per season, you can only get so much gold legitimately.

Bazaarbros... we matter too.

image-3.png - 1920x1080, 3.33M

There are always fringe exceptions, but they are exceptions. 28 cards in your deck are hard coded synergies and then 2 cards allow you to draw a specific minion you need + upgrade it.
It's just a better draw 1 card.

theres a limit? damn didn't know that never hit 400

streamed and invested all money into company

sell company

retire from the game and smoke weed every day and chill

nigga made it 3000 years ago....
I still haven't made it, or even begun

I wanna make it too

I was there 3000 years ago
everyone made it.....

you have adhd

Me neither, but it says in the level path at the end

I'm loving Mak a lot but it feels like shit how I've gotten three different runs where i got the spider mace+poppy field infinite dream only for them to match me against a freeze build that kills me.
It's also pretty funny how you almost never see Vanessas doing aquatic ramp builds anymore case they straight up lose to most Mak builds. Feels like everyone switched to One shot or ammo burst builds to counter him early

any other shitters that can't resist playing shitty homebrews and never sticks to meta decks long enough to get to legend? I've been playing since Witchwood and I just don't have it in me, I got to Diamond once which to me was insane cause I thought platinum was the last before legend and I was triggered

C'est moi. What kind of deck do you have?

No. You HAVE to netdeck, because decks are based on hard synergies.

i still use a lot of pieces of meta decks cause how else can you play the game but I don't optimize like the best versions do and add shit I like into the decks, its different every season but recently I had a shitty version of DK leech deck, I always use some variant of druid control, i have some shitty imbue decks, tried the protoss and zerg shit when it was new and had best results with my custom made zerg DK, had my own meteor shaman for awhile which did surprisingly well, definitely forgetting something but part of my problem is trying to rotate like 7 decks usually only 2 which are viable by meta standards, used to do a lot of element decks

Card types have nothing to do with it, it's just the word count that's obnoxious as fuck.

oh yeah and some kind of control demon warlock, and a paladin deck that was handbuff I think, have only had one good rogue deck like ever

This game has one of the most counterintuitive UIs I have ever seen

Druids are a class I wanted to get good with but I cannot for the life of me make it work how I want it to. I want to do a Druid legend deck, but I refuse to spend that much money on it. I'd have Ambassador Faelin, Prince Malchazaar, and other cards that spawn more legendaries while having cards that give me more mana crystals quickly, but even still.

If I were still playing Hearthstone, I'd want Kil'jaeden for my warlock deck that aims to disrupt, stall, and then finish with an endless stream of mooks; Lord Jaraxxus, Sargeras, and then with Kil'Jaeden it would be overkill. Fuck Reno, Lone Ranger with a cactus. He has been given a nerf, but still.

You have to really fuck up or get really unlucky to let an opponent be in a position where this is a threat.

I can't feel too comfortable with Rogue decks if they're dependent on lining everything up perfectly, because my strategy is always to shit on another deck's perfection. I do enjoy my "Other Classes" Rogue where I play in Tess Greymane's Casino.

What kind of Control Warlock deck do you like to go by?

Reno was rotated out so there is that.

But he's still in Wild, right?

Which is fucking terrifying because that means there's even WORSE power creep elsewhere.

Even worse. He's back at 8 in Wild but I have no idea why anyone plays that format.
Arena is still king.

Rather than do "direct powercreep" why not just release new concepts?
Yuigioh does this from time to time despite the power creep.
I remember before I quit they released a space bear archetype that mimicked Dark Synchro mechanics but it was simply shit.

i uninstalled when a rogue summoned two different onyxias on turn 3 (one summons whelps every turn, the other is immune while there are whelps)

i appreciate the existence of wild solely cause it allows autists like me to feel like their old cards aren't useless (though i don't play wild cause I don't have it in me)

archimonde, jaraxxus, and starship shit along with a lot of removal, it did really well at first but I just checked and I haven't updated it to the new xpac so its dead atm

Because when you do the new concepts sometimes they are shit and you have an entire expansion where none of the cards matter.
So then they make sure the new concepts are powerful because you want them to be played and packs bought and now you have 4/4 Discover a copy of a card in your deck with a possible game breaking upgrade.

Wild is just puzzling, all the shitty powercrept turn 4 lethal cancer decks playing.

That's fucking stupid. The Amazing Reno costs 10 and clears the whole board sans portals. Reno, Lone Ranger clears the foe's side including portals at the cost of 8 but so long as your deck didn't start with duplicates. You can't even load the deck with guff to counter it. Either bring The Amazing Reno up to par with it, or nerf Reno, Lone Ranger

Wild is the best version of any legacy format compared to other games simply because the entire format isn't dictated by how much money is on the table.
But it takes an already fast game into something super sonic that feels ridiculous to play.

Archimonde looks like a fine card, too. But it wouldn't fit my old Warlock deck's strategy so well. My ETC Manager gave me a choice between Silas Darkmoon, Mutanus the Devourer, or Dar'khan Drathir.

Then with Jaraxxus and Sargeras constantly spewing out demons, Archimonde's power won't be as optimal. Kil'jaeden can keep me going beyond the limits while Sargeras and Jaraxxus' powers constantly spew more demons.

This is why I love fighting Priest decks built to stall, because of all that sweet XP my deck earns from fighting them.

How'd the rogue pull that off?

playing imbue Druid right now, actually feels honest, all about board control

Hell yeah dude. I played this guy in nearly every pala deck I made just because of him being this essence of holy warrior or whatever he is.

whatever happened to these 2 dudes

did they turn paladin into the nigger deck because the aryans had claimed it as the white man's class?

wait how dogshit were the other cards at the time that a 4/5 vanilla was good?

i get excited everytime a new xpac has a lot of cards that are weaker than prior xpacs, especially like this xpac where it was after rotation, obviously theres gonna be a few OP cards each time but they seemed like they realized they have to slow down the power creep this expansion outside of a handful of instances

i'm not sure i've ever enjoyed a deck more than playing freeze mage during the secret paladin meta, the lines were always so clean

I love how you can run both in wild. Two total board clears with several upsides.

Yes, but there is a significant enough power disparity between those two cards that needs to be addressed.

I mean the newest Reno might genuinely be the strongest card they've ever printed so I don't think the answer is to bring cards up to it's level.
I genuinely don't even know if it's played though because I have no concept of what a good Wild deck looks like.

Me neither, but when I was playing even though the end of Whizbang's Workshop, it was in every deck that demanded no duplicates to be found within it

The art always makes him look like a centaur to me.

wait, is he not? he has the posture perfect

I fucking hate how oversaturated the 'no more than 1 in your deck' archtype has become.
It used to be so cool, but then Mean Streets priest/mage/warlock triclass cards had to fuck it all up.

No it's not a genre that's popular at all, he missed his chance with autobattlers years ago. That being said I was really excited for it and was about to buy it in closed beta but Raynigger said it would release soon, so I held off. The release was pushed back multiple times and when it finally released, he reworked the entire game into a p2w dogshit, although he lied for years that it will never be p2w and will only have cosmetics for real life purchases.

So the broad public doesn't care about this genre and the people who cared were repulsed by his giga jewish move and quit.

Expect it to be abandoned by the devteam by july.

He's just some guy.

Word. That kind of card isn't very special anymore.

Honestly this, most of the cards from the last sets while fun are incredibly weak compared to older similar cards and that's especially in formats where they allow those older cards.
Like for example I mainly play EDH and limited and the new tarkir set looks incredibly fun for limited but with the example of literally a single digit number of cards are outclassed in commander. Like i'd love to play an EDH deck with that new sultai guy that is indestructable and steals shit but I know i'll never even be a threat or do anything at all, as people will win before I can even attack with him or buff him enough to be relevant.

Haven't played since 2018 but

WITNESS THE POWER OF PURE WATER

*BA BA BAM BA BAAAM*

*bwom bwom bwom*

Kripp was streaming heartstone for years after it went out of fade with declining viewers until he switched to the bazaar which is developed by Raynad a few months ago. Turns out the bazaar is deader than hearthstone.

Druid of the Claw already existed at that time anon.

I've tried to watch some gameplay of The Bazaar and it looks like one of those shitty gas station slot machines you see drunk boomers playing in the middle of the day.

about to lose

use a spell to kill opponent's piloted shredder but he's still got a huge board

THE END... IS COMING!

Renolock was so good when it first became a thing.

MIND IF I ROLL NEED?

Reno being a neutral card means ever class can make their own version

Means Streets comes in

UMMMM No :). Actually, we're making Kasakus, so now the best possible version of renodecks are now for mage, warlock, and priest.

Actually the class legendaries for mage and warlock are kinda shit, so only priest can make it reno work ^.^

LAPTOPS ALL OF YOU

This is a fun card to use Criminal Lineup on, but man did Murder at Castle Nathria bring in all kinds of power creep at once. I appreciate the theme being a murder mystery and the legal process, but that's about all I can say about it.

play sneed

get lorewalker cho

never play sneed again.

every card had like a dozen keywords and half of the cards generate cards that generate cards that generate cards

Lol, I had the same feeling. New cards feel like they have leftists memes on them.

This. Probably the deck I played the most.

Nice Edwin, would be a shame if something happened to it

TAZ DINGO
HYEHEHEHEH

when did they nerf mc tech to 5

fatigue decks are aids and can go to hell, same thing with the decks that have one person spending 30 minutes playing with themselves and drawing cards. It's just a one sided slog to sit through.

rip. I played it during the beta on my ipad. naxx was so freaking fun. I'll never have that much fun again with a card game

cards you can hear

file.png - 313x437, 274.21K

the strong removal in the early days was so niche, but so satisfying when you successfully baited them into it

I wouldn't mind trying to paint some SC protoss and terran mini's, but the last I heard it's an expensive as hell hobby to get into.

Fucking hell, you're right. It used to be 3 mana.

this is our town skrub

back when it used to cost something to fill up your board

For me it's Ancient Watcher into Sunfury

He wasn't amazing, but I did enjoy sliding him into some decks. He even won me a few arena matches.

moroes.png - 234x330, 171.29K

Tell me about your most memorable Hearthstone match moments:

First time I ever played Jaraxxus, I got Sacrificial Pacted.

Watch my foe set up a 40/40 Lord Denathrius, only for me to use Silas Darkmoon to bring him to my side of the board. The next turn, I killed him with it.

Wound up with two copies of Reno, Lone Ranger. I still lost that match.

MIND IF I ROLL WEED

Because people pay to win, not to "play new concepts." This is why metadecking exists and why people search for decks rather than make their own, because people want to win, not use their own brains. Doesn't matter what you personally want, you are not Blizzard's target audience and if you play Blizzard games to begin with, then you're an imbecile who shouldn't be listened to in any situation.

Besides HS is a card game for kids, the exact target audience big corporations love to manipulate.

what's crazier is people still play this crap

I still have a good time here and there, but I am staying away from it because it's easy to get sucked into the vortex of needing more cards. If there was some way to get a lot of gold without Blizzard noticing nigh instantly, I'd do it.

No, retard. That is because HS does not have "deckbuilding". You cannot "use your own brain". The sets are designed with intentional hard synergy packages of cards. You put those in your deck and maaaybe have a few options of tech cards to chose, but likely those will be filled the highest winrate cards available anway, because the difference in synergy is so pronounced.

this lil nigga in every deck

thalnos.jpg - 468x263, 21.08K

Anon the designers didn't release infinite armor this expansion intentionally.
They didn't release Groovy Cat protoss druid last expansion knowingly.
They have expansion ideas they push sure but the deck lists don't make themselves at a level higher then platinum.

GET IN THERE AND FIGHT, MAGGOT!

shadoba had some actually fun decks but they were buried under trash

PLEASE PUT YOUR HANDS TOGETHER FOR THE SKELETON IN A DRESS

Genuinely how do you even print a card like this? It’s not unique or fun enough to be worth the very obvious risk. Its genuine highroll slop made for gambling addicts

IMG_1317.png - 1327x1725, 1.58M

its crazy to think this streamer was once meta

6958+4.jpg - 1024x1536, 530.74K

does he still only play bgs

That's a cheap card. Would be a shame if it were forced into play and dispatched

probly

is that kripp?

side note, how does he have that v shape lower torso with absolutely no chest, ab, or arm definition? Like if he just counted macros for three months his body would be really cut, and usually the V shape comes from a cut, but here it doesn't seem to be the case

how indeed....

genuinely curious, it's usually the last thing that you get

its ai slop anon

remember when this guy was just a mildly autistic hearthstone enthusiast and not an insufferable eceleb?

images.jpg - 225x225, 5.19K

no cause i never watched his content

i only honestly remember kripp, reynad and forsen

I only remember some german dude on twitch who switched to pubg and probably never went back to hearthstone

love that nig n murlocs
miss me murlocs

lmfao bro it did release, its just a very niche game it doesnt matter how good it is

Krip and forsen are streaming anomalies that only hearthstone could've created.

Just thinking of all the streamers that rose up and crashed hard from sticking to SC2 instead of diversifying is crazy.

Starcraft Ghost for the xbox and pc.

mtg arena is similar. it seems like all tcgs become gay powercreep fag shit

to sell more cards. if the new cards aren't better no one will buy them

Yogg-Saron releases

make a rogue deck and fit as many spells as I can into it and cards that generate me more spells

entire thing is just designed to delay out the game until I've cast an assload of spells and played Yogg 1-2 times.

It was fucking dumb, but boy did i love watching it go.

this piece of BULLSHIT made Arena completely UNPLAYABLE
Fuck whoever keeps printing these RETARDED cards.

YEAH
Beat it

Looks like some shitty phone gacha

Hard pass.

The moment he jumped to amoung us, comfy content was over

You sound like an underage edgy zoomer

I didn't even provide any commentary on the sets. How can I sound edgy when not expressing an opinion? kek

Oh really? I only ever played Wild

from the beta till maybe whatever the 3rd or 4th expansion was this card was forever in my decks with very few exceptions.

it was always pretty sick in arena anyways

too expensive and does nothing. maybe in a priest deck you could use him 8-10 years ago.

Savjz

what happened to him?

no idea, last time i watched him was when classic hearthstone happened

He married the hearthstone community manager, then she got fired from blizzard. Savjz got blackballed either preemptively or for speaking out against how blizzard treated her. I don't remember which it was.

sorry i'm fucking retarded. I forgot that we are in the AI era now.

many such cases.

I don't blame you. I'm actually curious to try Onions Bruce myself.

I don't get it

well get after it anon
